Hezen Cave Hotel

Our stay at Hazen Cave Hotel was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were incredibly courteous and helpful throughout our visit. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home.

The rooms were spotless—beautifully maintained with attention to detail, and the cave-style design added such a unique and cozy charm. Everything felt fresh and clean, and the thoughtful touches in the room made it feel more like a home than a hotel.

The overall ambiance of the hotel was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Cappadocia. We can’t thank the Hazen Cave Hotel team enough for their kindness and care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and authentic Turkish hospitality.

We've stayed all over the world even in hotel with room costing thousand dollar a night, but this hotel so far has demonstrated a level of hospitality and care we haven't seen elsewhere. The Michelin nod is so well-deserved

We were so impressed with the different receptionists in day and night shifts, who seem to be very diverse, in terms of age and gender. It gives off a feel of a very international and modern establishment, when it's uniquely situated just across the Ortahisar castle that's very ancient and the town itself that's quaint

Each of the staff was super helpful and was willing to go extra mile to ensure our comfort during the stay. They proactively thought of small details that matter

In our first day, we arrived too early for check-in time. We were able to join other guests for breakfast, do our laundry in the laundry room and then went out the whole day to explore the region. They offered for our luggage to be sent to our room when we were away so that we can come back to our room ready with our luggage already inside. It was a surprise for us to learn that they've changed our room from a cave room to other room but it was actually done with our comfort in mind seeing that we arrive during some of the hottest days in summer and the room that we booked didn't have AC

In our last night, they were aware that we're planning to have second attempt on hot air balloon ride in the early morning before we go to airport to catch a 10AM flight. They offered to settle all bills that night and have our luggages be in the car when we're back from the balloon ride so that we can hit the road to go to the airport on time. It's so freeing to know that the hotel is there to help you sort your plan

Food-wise, the breakfasts and the dinner that we had in the hotel were amazing. The dinner especially was very unique with some Anatolian dishes that we've never seen elsewhere

We're specifically looking to stay here to be away from Goreme's hustle and bustle. That might not be for everyone (as some people will prefer to be close to the center of action). But getting around is easy when you rent vehicle (the rate in Cappadocia is quite affordable and can be delivered to the hotel's outdoor car park). And if you have any tour activity, including hot air balloon ride, the pickup ride is typically just 10 mins ride away to Goreme

Two of us booked well ahead in this hotel as part of a 6 week trip and our accommodation here was one of the best. We had a spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom which was formed by excavating a cave in solid pumice rock. The outlook via window formed in the rock was very nice, quiet and reasonable internet

Magical Stay in a Truly Unique Cave Hotel with Great Hospitality!

Staying at the Hezen Cave Hotel in Cappadocia was an unforgettable experience, and what made it even more special was the incredible hospitality we received. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine kindness. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, offering water tea, coffee, local tips, and everything else we required effortlessly.

The room itself was stunning—carved into the rock, yet cozy, clean, and full of charm.

40min taxi ride from Goreme centre. When we got there, there’s nobody else but us. The staff were very friendly and treated us like VIP. We had all the place for ourselves and always 1 staff stationed where visible whenever we need something. They said it was one of the quiet days they have as it was not peak season (last week of April, beginning of May). During summer, they’re usually busy.

Also, you get a front view of one of the famous stone Castles in Cappadocia. We were seated in an open table on their rooftop overlooking the town of Ortahisar.

Loved my stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room ( family suite ) was very nice. The pumpkin seed hummus was easily the best hummus i have ever had.

Rooms - the room we stayed in was clean and well maintained :) they gave us extra blankets upon request as it was still quite cold at night haha

Service - Everyone was nice and professional, they even helped us book a taxi to send over a piece of luggage we forgot in the room LOL thank you so much!

Breakfast - very delicious, I loved the crispy fried eggs with perfectly crispy edges!! Orange juice was fresh every morning too.

Location - i did not regret choosing Urgup as the main location instead of Goreme. Yes, Goreme is the city center with a lot of amenities but Urgup is quiet and charming all by itself especially in the winter. This hotel is in a perfect location if you want a peaceful holiday.

Oh yes they have washer and dryer laundry facilities too!

Wonderful and charming hotel; great location, comfortable and charming rooms, stunning view from terrace, great food. Staff is extremely professional, polite, helpful and attentive to every detail. Location is great with a beautiful view from the terrace, close enough to all attractions but situated in a beautiful, relaxing, and quiet area. A friend recommended to me and now I highly recommend and would definitely go back. Mehmet and Hakan along with other staff ensure a pleasant stay and experience!
