Gala Guest house

I usually prefer boutique hotels on my vacations, and Gala has easily been the best one so far.
It’s run by the kindest family, who manage to keep everything professional while also making the place feel cozy and welcoming at the same time.

The rooms are spotless, fresh, and really well thought out. Nothing feels random, everything is placed where you’d actually want it. They also have a lovely sea view, a small but useful balcony, and an AC that works like a dream. The bathroom is super clean and comfortable, with great water pressure and constant hot water. Housekeeping keeps the room just as perfect as the first day.

Breakfast deserves its own mention. It’s a proper Turkish breakfast, full of fresh and tasty local products. Every morning felt like a little feast, and you can tell they put effort into making it special.

The location is very convenient, only about a 5–7 minute walk to the center. If you ever need help with transport, the owners are more than happy to help it. They also give great tips on where to go and what to do, making sure you enjoy your holiday to the fullest.

The staff in general are just amazing, always attentive, supportive, and working hard to make you feel completely at ease.

The garden and restaurant area are another highlight. With a wonderful view of the South Aegean, surrounded by greenery, bougainvillea, and banana trees, the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing.

For us, Gala has become the place to stay in Selimiye. I honestly don’t think we’d choose anywhere else, and hopefully we’ll be back again next year.

Once again, we had a truly wonderful stay! Mrs. Nesrin and her son Mr. Onur are such warm-hearted, genuine people — they made us feel completely at home. Every morning, they thoughtfully prepared new routes for us to explore, which made each day special. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the view is absolutely breathtaking — one of the highlights of our stay! And the breakfasts… just amazing. Mrs. Nesrin’s homemade jams and the variety of fresh, delicious treats every day were such a joy. The entire team was kind, helpful, and always smiling. This was our second time staying here, and we’re sure it won’t be the last. A piece of our heart is definitely staying behind. Thank you all for everything ❤️

10/10. Stunning views of harbour, great pool, modern facility. Very clean. Breakfast included with homemade jams etc. Within walking distance from restaurants/cafes, marina & grocery stores. Extremely friendly staff & well versed in English and Turkish.

The Gala Selimiye Hotel is a family run business and everyone is doing their best to please the guests and welcoming them.
The hotel is located on the hillside but very close to the beach, the restaurants and the shops. Although it is a short walk to the centre of the village Onur was always happy to offer a lift with his car if you needed. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. The view from the hotel is fantastic and there is a path that can take you up to a high point where you can enjoy the sunrise. They have also a restaurant with a great chef which serves beautiful food. I would definitely stay there again.

I don't know where to start. The hotel owners, Mr. Ozan and his mother, are wonderful people. This of course also applies to the guys who work there. Friendly, fast, helpful, quality. I was always asked if they could help me in any way. I could go on and on about the quality and service. The Turkish breakfast served is great and there is plenty of everything. The rooms are clean and have a great view. Don’t hesitate about this hotel and every cent will be worth it.

The view is absolutely stunning. The couple who run the property are so sweet and accommodating. Its just a short walk away from the beach and restaurants in Selimiye. If you are planning to visit the Marmaris area I definitely suggest you pick Selimiye as one of your stops and I'm sure you will be happy if you pick Gala. Can't wait to go back.
