We spent Christmas at VOI Kiwengwa and I must admit that it was amazing! The service and animation team organized many attractions and activities during the day. On Christmas Eve, we were served a special Christmas buffet and surprised by a spectacular show followed by the visit of a Santa Claus. Really, huge applause for the management team which takes care of the guests and introduces a warm and cheerful atmosphere to make you feel good during your stay. It was not my first Christmas spent on holiday, but this hotel definitely stands out.
Also, as our flight was before midnight there was no problem with late checkout, but it is extra paid. We really encourage you to reward the service with tips for their great work. We wanted especially to praise Ali, who is serving sunbeds - he is so extremely dedicated to his work, always with a smile and taking care of your good day at the beach!
For those who like to party, Kiwengwa, in general, is not a clubbing area, but 5 min from the hotel there is a restaurant with parties on selected weekdays and also hotel has taken ~80 guests to a local club free of charge. Had so much fun!
The only drawback is safe boxes placed in the reception (not in the rooms) and the lack of a gym.

I will start from a big issue. Hotel is offering your own safe in the safe room that is nearby reception, in hotel lobby. Unfortunatelly ALL KEYS FITS ALL SAFES! BEWARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS BECAUSE ANYONE CAN ACCESS IT! There is no safes in the room. Now lets make a list:
Pros:
-Staff is fantastic, always smiling when spoken to, always helpful, always kind. Great people. Special greetings to Emi!
-Beautiful garden
-Palm trees on the beach! This one was actually what one of the reasons I've choosen this hotel. Love it.
-Tasty food, good quality products, well made
-Overall cleanness
-Spacious rooms
Cons:
-Issue with safes as described above
-One, non heated pool, no pool bar (not a big issue, but still)
-Low variety of food. Not many things to choose from.
-I've tried to grab a snack from a snackbar once and I've been said that I need to make a reservation prior to that. What's the reason for snack bar tho? No idea. If you're hungry and currently it's not time for brekfest, dinner or supper - then sorry bro/sis but you will need to wait.
-There is no umbrellas anywhere on hotel property. If you're counting on hiding yourself from sun under one near pool or beach, unfortunatelly there is none.

-Air-condition only in rooms
-Rooms have poor light. It's still pretty dark when you turn on all lights.
-Internet is disconnecting every 5 minutes and you need to log in again

Amazing hotel with an amazing atmosphere. Really great food and amazing staff. Our room got upgraded just because they had better rooms available. For those who go for the 'All-inclusive' package - get ready for great Italian pizzas all day long!

We slept 10🌙 nights at Voi,the beach is amazing with a lot of palms 🌴 unfortunately the water is full of algs but still is wonderful 👌, the staff is really cool! Maria from the bar 🍸, Carlo from the kitchen, Kali from restaurant, Omar also, very friendly, the food is ok in specially the fish 🐟 is really nice taste 👌, the rest of the food seems old a little bit, if you want to book excursion, please 🙏 choice Mercy from opposite of reception, she is gorgeous and very friendly, thanks Mercy! Do not book excursion from the beach! Trust me! Is more expensive and is unsafe! You can lose your money 💰! Go to Mercy she have everything what you need about excursion!

We spent here our honeymoon! Our room had a sea view. Food here is ok, a lots of Italian cuisine. Hotel service is so helpful and nice. Wide, clean and peaceful beach, plenty of sunbeds available. I recommend it!

Amazing experience. The resort has a strong Italian culture, which was a very great experience. The Bravo team (the activities team) kept us engaged with beach sports, shows, beach party hopping and yoga. I would definitely recommend this beach to anyone wanting an amazing island experience.

We have visited atleast 10 different resorts, the ones that are a bit more fancy than this place are so much more expensive, so if you are looking to spend between 60 to 100 usd per person and get a bungalow with privet beach and all inclusive pakage this is the place to go, good food mostly from local items, one of the best beaches we saw compare to other resorts, it's just wonderful experience to chill and relax at this resort for few days, they have different programs daily. Big thanks to the manager, Mr. Filippo Martini for being so cool, 👌.

I entered the Zanzibar hotel from the beach to enquire about the hotel and facilities.
I was told in no uncertain terms that to come to the hotel I have to enter from the gate! And was escorted off the premises - bizarre behaviour!
I was smartly dressed but not resident . Won’t be recommending this hotel to my friends who might visit me now!
