Chumbe Island Coral Park Hotel

Visiting Chumbe and staying for one night was a dream. The island is breathtaking, the staff is lovely and knowledgeable, and the activities (snorkelling, forest walk and crab walk) were very special. The rooms make you feel like you are alone on the island.
The commitment to the protection of the environment is an inspiration.

A slice of paradise in amongst busy Zanzibar. The rooms and shared areas are lovely and comfortable. Food is delicious. Activities are well run, really enjoyed the snorkelling.

Chumbe Island is an amazing destination, whether you are staying for a night (or more) in one of their amazing eco-lodges or just heading there for a day trip. The snorkeling is great which is evident in the mission of the park-one of the few privately owned marine areas in Tanzania that depends on revenue from tourism to drive their conservation activities. The views from the historic lighthouse are breathtaking. You’ll learn a lot from the rangers who will lead you around the island’s forests as well. If you need some rest and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of Stone Town, look no further than this 45 minute boat ride from town!
