It was a beautiful experience. Moreover the staffs were totally friendly ، honest and they enjoyed professional behavior . definitely that I would repeat the trip to the resort if I traveled again to Zanzibar.
A genuine wow resort. The rooms are stunning, spacious and generally delightful and the kitchen is great.
Beautiful petite resort - just 13 villas. Great staff. Lovely food. Fabulous retreat 45 minutes north of Stone Town
Fabulous villa with private pool and access to ocean. Great food. Lovely staff. Beautiful gardens. Basically luxury without the 4 seasons faff.
Zanzi resort offered a charming nice retreat in a beautiful jungle oasis. The property is very well taken care of, and nice, occasional cultural touches here and there were delightful to discover. Our bungalow was very spacious, bed - comfortable, and water pressure was just right. TV had all international channels. Room service - fast and with a smile. We've enjoyed our time at the jetty, pool and...
Simply put, it’s the staff that make this place what it is. They are incredibly warm and hospitable people, nothing was ever an issue; the true meaning of Hakuna Matata (a saying you’ll hear quite a lot at at Zanzi!) On the note of food, every dish we had was completely faultless and absolutely delicious. It is clear the chef has invested a lot of time and effort in to developing the menus. On a...

Very lovely hotel with lovely staff. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. My main issue is how long food took to come to the table after you ordered. The food was delicious, but could take 40-50 minutes to come. Located in the best area in stone town.
We are just finishing a fantastic 5 night stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar. We are big fans of the Hyatt brand, especially Park Hyatt and Alila, and this hotel did not disappoint, in fact our expectations, although high, were met or exceeded in most every way. We arrived at 7 pm and were quickly checked in. We were offered Suite 3211 as Hyatt Globalist using a suite upgrade certificate. We were...
We had an amazing stay in Park Hyatt in Zanzibar in March 2023. The location allowed us to do lots of exciting activities, and the food and service were excellent. Special thanks to Abdullah (concierge) and Fatima (front desk) for making our stay unforgettable!
Location is in the middle of stone town; in the historical area. The decoration of the whole hotel is lovely, rooms are clean and nice. Staff are the friendliest. The buffet of breakfast is below average and not that tasty, nothing special honestly and not so many choices (compared to the cost of the stay). We stayed here for two nights, the first night the sound of the ocean (high tides) were very...
Wonderful hotel to stay at while visiting Stone Town. Easy to get to the markets and enjoy local fare. Safe and comfortable. Beautiful views! Most friendly staff I’ve ever met! Fauzi the Guest Coordinator was outstanding. He was a tremendous help during our stay. Will go back!
We really enjoyed Our stay. The room was cleaned and we received lovely pastry by the souf Chef Raj. Thank you so much for a welcome and great dessert. My son loved the breakfast and pastries done by you. Thank you once again.

We loved the atmosphere and location Very helpful personnel Special thanks to Said, Guest Relation Manager and we loved the barman of the pool bar Mohamed Ali, always smiling and really running to offer his service Generally we enjoyed our stay
The hotel is beautiful, looking exactly like the photos. They indulged us in a lovely Valentine's Day dinner with great entertainment. You should also try their spa as it is relaxing.
this hotel was nice and very clean, happy and helpful staff
right on the beach and very close to airport. lovely building too.
The ambience is good overall. The location is the best about this property.

excellent choices beautiful beach very good service LOVED the view from my room. Chriss at the front desk was helpful in finding me Dr Juma to attend to my toe injury. Thank you, Chriss.
The BEST hotel in stone town! The staff make you feel at home. This hotel is the true definition of “home away from home!” Can’t wait to be back!
Very nice staff. Great food and rooms were nice. I liked the hotel was right off the beach.
This hotel is extraordinarily beautiful and sits right on the ocean. We stayed here for 2 nights after a safari in Tanzania and loved every moment. The ambience is reminiscent of fairy tales from 1000 and one night, magical. The staff was super friendly, especially Chriss was very nice and courteous. He gave us lots of tips for Stone Town and also of a cultural nature. The breakfast is great, the selection...
Beautiful family hotel. I came here to thank their staff member Rabia. She checked all of us in and every time we had a question she was more than happy to answer. The guy who took our duffel bags with a big smile up and down the stairs really knows what customer service is. We had 3 rooms with beach view. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice. Some of the tea cups had old tea stains but...
They have the most wonderful kind and warm people working there. They did everything they could to make our stay wonderfull. Always with a smile and a hi - is there anything I can do for you? Calm and relaxing with great views.

Maru Maru was a great find for our group trip to Stone Town. The location was great. We enjoyed the roof top restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.
I booked this hotel for my Mother while she was in Zanzibar. She loved the place. The room was large and very clean. The restaurant offered delectable dishes. When she arrived there was some confusion with the booking. The front desk was so kind and helpful to my Mom and made her arrival a pleasure.
Worth a stay but set your expectations right. Stone town is historical and quite a unique vibe. Loved walking up and down the stone baths between tall buildings with souvenir shops on the ground floor and private residences up top. Hotel itself is nothing spectacular but it does the trick for a one night stay before heading to the beaches. Rooftop restaurant service is annoyingly slow and overall...
I live in Zanzibar and like to spend my free time after work mostly on the rooftop of the Maru maru Hotel. The hotel management as well as the waitresses and employees, such as Hilda, are all incredibly nice, courteous and helpful. I feel very well taken care of. The drinks are all delicious and are prepared quickly. The food also tastes delicious and the view over Stone town completes the whole...
The Maru Maru is a hidden gem in Stone Town. The roof top restaurant is hidden away from view but does provide visitors with view of the ocean and harbor. The place is a busy and popular one so expect some waiting time when ordering. Staff are friendly and helpful. Menu offers a decent selection and Choice. Wind down after your stone town visit and savor the sites and Sounds of this historic part...
Hotel didn’t disappoint - everything seemed to work. Rooms decent, air con worked, hot water available, bathrooms clean and stocked, bed was comfy, breakfast had a good range from cheeses, cold cuts, continental foods and indian dishes. The hotel prides itself with the fact that its hosted many celebrities over the years - photos line the staircase walls leading to the rooftop restaurant (where breakfast...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mizingani, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The first thing that struck me was its fantastic location. Situated in the heart of Stone Town, it offered easy access to all the historical and cultural treasures this enchanting place has to offer. Upon entering Mizingani, I was captivated by its beautiful furnishings. The decor was a perfect blend...
I stayed in this property three times this year and always an experience worth coming back for. The hotel manager Mr. Imtiaz and Mr. Ahmed at the front desk are always very welcoming, patient and hospitable with me. I was greeted with fresh juice and escorted to my room by Mr. Haj who was fantastic. All the staff are very polite, and the hotel has a great vibe overall. Looking forward to returning...
We really enjoyed
The hotel is conveniently located, the staff are polite and qualified. There is hot water. The bathroom has shampoo, shower gel, dental kit, comb, sewing kit, sanitary bag, body lotion and soap. Every day the room was cleaned, and in the evening they came in to close the window shutters and straighten the canopy. In the neighboring building, it seems, they set up a rehearsal point, so the room was...
A luxury hotel in a great location.
Very decent place. Everything as it should be. I will recommend to my friends. Since yesterday evening we will be here for two more nights. Many thanks to the owner of the hotel. I wish you success!

Very good position, staff very gentle, breakfast wonderful looking the sea
The hotel is in a very good location and decorated beautifully. It is close to all attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was great with variety of food. However it could have more European options as it attracts a lot of tourists.
The location it's great! The breakfast at the main hotel it's good and diverse! The service it's top as well. The room is really spacious, but might need a bit of refreshing. (Top part the balcony I couldn't enjoy it because of the rain but I think it would be great on a sunny day.
This is for the b&b, which is a 3 minute walk from the main hotel. The b&b doesn’t have a sign, so finding it in the dark is confusing if you’re just there for one night. Check in process was an absolute nightmare. The receptionist had me walking back and forth up 3 flights of stairs multiple times because he never told me where the actual b&b was- instead, he pointed across the street where there...
The guy at the reception was such a nice person!! Everybody was very polite and helpful!! Thanks for the good stay!!
Great place, close to sea, bars and restaurants, room is big, well equipped, so is the bath... Sitting area and washing machine available. Balcony was a great plus.

Really good value for money. The hotel is not five star, but it is in a great location and the service is great. Hotel is located one block from Park Hyatt, and within close distance to beach front restaurants.
A truly lovely place with great location! The manager Hassan was extremely helpful, always smiling, ready for an advice, feedback and joke. Saumu handled my tours/excursions and she was also great! My room was spacious and very clean. For breakfast they offer an entire menu. Loved every second of it, definitely recommend it!
Amazing hotel. It's very clean hotel. And most importantly amazing reception. Thank Mr. Nishmal ! You make our day with your fantastic food and reception 😉.
Beautiful hotel, Good services with delicious breakfast. Clean room with good fresh air. The most comfortable and cheapest hotel in Stone Town near Hyatt, Serena and Forodhani. Please visit you won’t regret. I love the place ❤️🙏
Clean rooms that tick all the boxes if you are just going to be out and about in Stonetown. Breakfast is also nice. However the best thing in this hotel is the staff. Santosh, Sebastian, Sabrina and team are extremely friendly, accomodating and go over and beyond to make you feel at home for your stay. Stayed here while we spent an evening in Stonetown, lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well-kept with the charm of a period Zanzibarian building. Dinner and drinks on the rooftop terrace to see the sun set over the harbour water. Food was excellent...
Wonderful place in Stonetown, not soo noisy, super friendly staff, amazing view on rooftop, great beds and modern bathrooms. It's a fairly new hotel with a small pool which is quite private. I will be back!!
Great hotel when visiting Stone Town. Friendly staff. Good food and drink choice. Great location for walking down the harbour/ beach. Rooms are a bit dated and dark but welcoming after a hot day in the sun. Nice pool area again small but all you need. Not perfect but a good 4 star hotel....would stay again.
Amazing! Friendly staff. Delicious buffet breakfast. Lovely pool area. Close to the beach/night Market. Would definitely book again. I would however recommend the barmen learn how to make proper cocktails(not too great) Would also be nice if guests were able to buy ice from the hotel? Wifi signal is not very strong in the rooms but that was not major. PS: did not expect the 'government tax ' upon check...
Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring stone town. Very nice spacious room, and on the day we had a late flight they let us stay in another nice (but smaller) room downstairs all day. Great view right on the water from the rooftop bar. Central location. Was quite happy with our stay here.

Hiliki house is a beautiful old family house in the heart of Stone Town. The place is perfectly in line with Stone Town's incredible architecture and it's been a pleasure spending the night here for a very reasonable price. Staff was friendly and available. We really loved our stay at Hiliki House. Abdul and Mahmoud were both super helpful and booked a couple of really great excursions for us. They also organized transport to our next hotel in Nungwi. Breakfast was good, wide variety of eggs, pancakes and fresh fruit, served in a gorgeous dining room. The bedroom had AC and a fan which was a massive bonus. Very happy we chose here!
Clean and lovely place, friendly stuff.. u don’t feel anyone in the hotel even its full booked.. air conditioner is working 🤩
Picked it as a star item to stay from the Lonely Planet and I wasn't disappointed. Choose the room with an in-room bathroom because they're upstairs. Nice quiet location but still in the old part!

Loved the staff and the beds were comfy. We went all inclusive. Drinks were good. Over the 4 nights it would have been good to be allowed one evening of a la carte. Plenty to do on the site. Nothing at all outside the security gates. Views from the large pools onto the sea and beyond were great. Live music was not intrusive and the bands were great.
Beautiful pool area, nice pier with the opportunity to sit ouside or step into the Ocean Large variety of sporting activities Great Breakfast and Diner Decent Garden, very clean and well maintained
We stayed at the hotel for a work conference. The room was clean, neat, and very well maintained during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. We spent a week at this amazing resort starting end of June 2023. We had such a great time there we felt so sad to go. Very beautiful resort with two infinite pools and very good food. The rooms are big and the views are amazing. There is also a local tour guides that you can book within the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, they have a restaurant in the hotel which was very convenient and had a lovely atmosphere :) great place really recommended !!!

It is a pretty neat lodge with a dynamic staff and great service. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the suburbs while visiting Zanzibar. The only downer was the road to the lodge. Hotels in the neighborhood should put together funds to fix the bizillion potholes.
