The employees and the owners are really great! Absolutely loved the ladies in reception!
The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are comfy. My rooms were a bit dated, but I know that there is currently renovations and upgrades being done at the hotel.
The laundry service is cheap and really fast!
There is a lovely pool and restaurant. The food isn't great and there is a general waiting period of 45min (also stipulated as such on the menu) for any meal ordered.
Hotel is close to a local supermarket where coffee beans are really cheap ($4 for a 400gr pack). The same wrappped coffee beans were sold on my "coffee tour" for $15 a pack.
The area is safe and you can walk freely in town at anytime of the day without feeling "unsafe".

Staff were all just lovely. Breakfast was great, varied and served over 3 hours, and the evening menu is varied and the evening meals I had were delicious too. The room was huge, and quiet (my room overlooked the inner courtyard and swimming pool) even though the hotel is really close to the centre of town. Bonus is the fabulous view from the open top floor - of Moshi town and Kilimanjaro.

I got Moshi on my mind, a big layover hotel for those awaiting their ascent of Kilimanjaro! Two nights here. What am I doing here? My trek starts in 5 hours. Clean, simple, SAFE gated hotel with the basics. Free WiFi, working TV, reasonable bathroom, comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Simple restaurant with slight Indian flare to food. All meals made as ordered from scratch and surprisingly delicious and reasonably priced. Great pool. I go in every evening to cool off from this Tanzanian heat! When the sky is clear you can see Mount Kilimanjaro 🗻⛰️out back! It looks HUGE! I spent Christmas here with the staff! Great people. Have a cold Kilimanjaro beer while looking at Mount Kilimanjaro out back! most refreshing! Head out the front gate and turn left and walk around Moshi or walk right and there an indoor shopping area!

Beautiful clean and well maintained hotel 🏨 in small tourist town of moshi. Highly recommended for mount kilimanjaro climbers.

Friendly staff, great food at very reasonable price, lovely pool area. Deluxe rooms very spacious. Everything we needed for before/after our Kilimanjaro climb and safe luggage storage while we were away.

Apart of beautiful lodges localized in the Moshi suburbs, this hotel seems to be the one of the best localized in the city center of the town.
Rooms proposed by the hotel has a very different sizes. Bathroom in the rooms and breakfast buffet are basic but nothing is missing. We were extremely satisfied about the service. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem.

A quite expensive hotel. At least as expensive, as hotels in Europe, or more. Staff working at the reception hardly knows anything. They mix up keys, make a lot of errors. I do not even know, why they need 3 women sitting there. Mosquito net was holey. Bathtub old, painting worn out. Water pressure in the shower low.
The worst was the power situation. They claim there are often blackouts in Tanzania. This is probably true, and they cannot fix that. But they could invest in solar panels, or in a lot of barrels on the roof to create hot water. And they do not. There are switches in the room to switch off AC and hot water boiler. But you do not get information about that when the room is shown to you. This is an extremely unusual thing for a traveller from Europe, therefore we need to be informed. And then even worse, when there is a blackout, there are even additional switches outside the rooms where they switch off AC and hot water boiler. And then they just "forget" to switch it on again. You are without hot water just because they did not switch it on again. Electricity prices in Tanzania are approximately the third as in Europe, and in Europe you always get hot water in a hotel of this pricing. Btw. if electricity was more expensive, my argument about investing into solar would even be more true.
Restaurant is OK, though there is not any interesting local food at all. Everything is European or Indian. Maybe many guests like that, but I would like to try out something local and interesting.
But the main problem is that hotel owner thinks, they have some old style rooms and a pool, guests will come anyway, lets not invest into the hotel any more. Lets just squeeze out the last profit from the hotel by switching off AC and hot water if possible. That is a short sighted plan in my opinion.
There are better rated hotels in Moshi.

Park View offers comfortable rooms, excellent service, and minor noise disturbances due to its location. Overall, a satisfactory stay for those seeking convenience and quality service.

Staff are polite and helpful. Excellent location, with rooftop terrace to look at Kilimanjaro. Rooms spacious and clean. 4th time we have stayed there. Highly recommend Park View.

Great value hotel which was clean and well maintained. The hotel is located in central Moshi and Kilimanjaro airport is about 1.5 hours drive. Great restaurant on site which is open from 06:00am - 10:00pm. A buffet breakfast is included in nightly fee. Staff were excellent and went out of their way to assist our party with any and all needs. Would certainly recommend when staying in Moshi.
