Freezing cold showers in the morning, but had a few hot showers at night. First time staying in a hotel by myself so I was a bit nervous and the front desk was not helpful or kind during check in/check out. Didn't make me feel welcome at all. No microwave in the rooms but they are spacious and have a mini fridge. Great location, but not my first choice.
We chose to stay at the Marriott Albany a few weekends ago for our wedding. I cannot express how happy we are with our choice and our experience. We reserved a block of rooms for the wedding party and wedding guests and the entire process was incredibly smooth from start to finish. The group rate was affordable and easy to use. We worked with Heather H. the whole time and I have only positive things...
The staff, particularly Nikita, Predethia and Hazel made our stay, check-in and checkout a pleasure! When we had a problem Nikita was quick to handle it and rectify it immediately. These three ladies have given us reason to consider Marriott hotels as our hotel of choice in the future. Highly recommend!
I attended the Albany Marriott for the Times Union Job Fair. The Albany Marriott is a wonderful venue to host your event. With a range of areas with which they can accommodate your needs. The job fair was well put together and there was water and mints around for those attending which was a nice touch.
There for a quick stay before a flight. Bar and restaurant are open late and the room was clean. The front desk staff are amazing and accommodating.
This hotel is amazing. Service was great! Rooms were fairly small. Beds were soft, yet uncomfortable... in my opinion. Overall, this hotel was great, and no negative factors deducted points from my review. Would visit again!

The hotel had a great breakfast, really enjoyed the omelet and yogurt. The hotel rooms were okay looking and had comfortable beds. But the bathtub was a little dirty looking only because the bath was old. Everyone I met in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I would go to this hotel again, was in a great area for the work I do.
Excellent location, less than a quarter mile from the MVP Arena where our event was with a great view. Service was good, but a bit of a wait at the front desk when checking in and out. Housekeeping had a fast phone response time and was very pleasant. Room was spacious and clean but bathroom was small (probably not wheelchair accessible). A warning to taller guests that these showers are NOT designed...
My experience with the staff was extremely positive. High marks there. Was also really excited to be at a hotel with room service. It's so rare these days that it was a great perk. The location in Albany obviously can't be beat if you need to be in downtown. The rooms were dirty. The bathtub didn't drain properly so you had to stand in dirty water as you showered. The pool was filthy.
Staff is super nice & helpful so they deserve 5 stars. The view of the state Capitol from the Executive Lounge is quite impressive and deserves high marks, too. However, the hotel itself deserves only 3 stars. The door to each guest room is at least 3/4 inch off the floor so the hall traffic and conversation is quite loud. I had a connecting room with the doors closed but I could hear the guests...
My flight was cancelled and the airline gave us a hotel voucher for the Albany Hilton. I ended up being grateful that I was able to stay here. The staff was amazing, which made it a very pleasurable experience. Also, the beds are great. ??
Great hotel! Right down the street from the capital. Rooms are clean, good size and comfortable. Beds are heavenly!! They have great assortment of pillows as well, like soft pillows, got them, firm pillows, got them!! The bathrooms are large, and spotless! Towels are very soft!

My daughter and I were in the area for an overnight. In our initial check-in, we experienced a little mix-up with our assigned room. Luckily, Renee and Dave at the front desk were beyond accommodating to ensure we quickly had a room, even coming to the new room and assisting us. The room itself was nicely updated. We enjoyed dessert at Mr. D's, where the staff was very nice. The chef even came out...
I was here for the FOP conference and it was a wonderful experience. I had a problem at this hotel but let me tell you customer service is everything. Renee took care of my issue and I was very satisfied. The hotel is very nice updated and modern and close to a lot of important things. Mall not to far target, Whole Foods. Really nice. I didn’t enjoy the food at this hotel but it was clean Customer...
The hotel was beautiful and had a beautiful little villa in the middle of the hotel. The food at Mr.d's was incredible and the staff was very friendly. My only concern and critique for this hotel was that it's a mecca for weddings and events. We had a pretty nice room but we were up till 5am because people were screaming, running, slamming doors all night long. I would suggest asking if there is any...
Great rooms, awesome service! I’ve been here now for a few different conferences/conventions, and every time this hotel never ceases to impress me.
A lovely place to stay in when in Albany. It has a lovely and classy decor, from the lobby to bedrooms. It also has a nice atrium with well-tended plants and lovely fountain- nice and restful area for winding down. The fairy lights make it even more beautiful at night. Seems like many companies/organizations hold meetings here too. And there is a nice restaurant attached to it. I only had breakfast...
I just came back from the 14th annual liberty partnership program youth summit and had loads of fun! The food is great, Fort Orange looks absolutely beautiful and the people were friendly. I can't wait to go back next year!!!

The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY. The place was under renovation and not super fancy. But for the price was perfect. Deffinitely not a luxury hotel. Basic As for the mattress we loved it. About 19minutes from the state senate. Indoor poor jacuzzi. Gym is small not much going on. Again basic hotel but perfect for a quick trip.
Was a great stay. Rooms were clean and the hotel overall was clean. Loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi and it was a very affordable price. They also have a little arcade for the children. Lots of lounging space throughout the hotel. Very quiet in the evening which is great when traveling with a baby. And about 10 to 15 minutes to the mall which is amazing. Only suggestion I would make is that they...
This hotel was a very interesting experience with a few noticeable issues but is overall a positive place to spend a couple of nights. I'll start with the negatives. Firstly, if you're booking through anywhere except their front desk the information may not be up to date. I found this out when the advertised bar wasn't open during my stay. Secondly, the air conditioner unit seems to be dated like the...
Recently stayed over night and attended a conference on site. Interesting set up in which the conference rooms and pool are surrounded by some of the rooms. The lobby was nice but upon walking to the rooms you can tell the hallways were older and rugs were stained. The rooms itself are a bit dated. The design in the showers appear to make them look dirty. Overall the stay itself wasn't bad. The guests...
Honestly great experience even though the hotel was is mediocre. The staff definitely need to up.their friendlyness/care when interacting with guests. Also the atrium smells like chlorine bc of the pool, management should try to remedy that situation if possible
This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. Just a night away out of town with my 2 nieces. It had a unique layout inside that was almost motel like which added to the experience. The pool was large.and had a nice outdoor feel with the plants. I would have given it 5 stars but it definitely needs some major upgrades. The towel rack was rusted and there was a huge water spot on the ceiling...

Came here for a birthday staycation — wanted a place with a pool and this place was excellent!! The housekeeper Louisa was 10/10 she made this stay amazing and deserves every possible praise or bonus. She MADE my birthday and was an employee that made my day.
Staff is very friendly but sometimes feel a little lost. The hotel is nice, but housekeeping could do a little better. I have seen garbage in the halls and towels that clearly weren't checked if they needed to be changed. The "bar" is overpriced, so you're better off just ordering in. It works for a quick stay but there is definitely room for improvement.
The room was good however no breakfast meant having to go out. Also the check-in people cannot figure out how to use the computer to override price. Said if they were to change the reservation they'd have to cancel the current reservation book a new one at double the cost.
Rooms were great, very clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Needed extra towels and we had to go get them ourselves which was a new experience. Not terrible but not convenient. Would definitely go back Breakfast was a big disappointment as they were short of many items and it was staffed by just 1 person (cook and front counter person)
OK, but a problem with sofa which converted to an extra bed. Prefer breakfast next door at Dunkin' Donuts to Starbucks in lobby. Otherwise a good hotel.
Pool was too dirty to swim in and breakfast server was rude. Rooms were as expected but it was the super comfy beds that saved this review.

Front desk was extremely helpful and very nice, our king suite was roomy, clean & so comfortable we didn't want to leave. The whole place was very clean & everyone we encountered was friendly. We didn't take advantage of breakfast, but it was available for us if we had wanted it. Perfect location for walking to MVP Arena and going out to eat or have a drink. We will definitely be back.
Everything. Angelina at the front desk was amazing and went above and beyond. She deserves special mention. Thank you!
I chose this hotel because it was right across from a venue I was going to for a concert. I didn't find it to be overly pricey and was thrilled when we got there for checking and had been upgraded at no charge. We ended up with a suite that was like a nice apartment. There was a living room complete with couch, chaise lounge, TV, desk and countertop bar as well as amenities including microwave and...
Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Albany - Downtown was a very good one! The room was clean and quiet, everything worked as expected and the linens were more than adequate. The provided breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel, the eggs were excellent. The sausage links were a little dry and the home fries a little bland but the bagels, toast, muffins, drink selection and waffles were very...
Great place to stay when seeing a show at the Palace Theater, only a couple minutes' walk to the theater and within walking distance to other restaurants and bars. Beds were comfortable and the shower was excellent. The rooms and hotel overall were very clean and the quality and selection at the complementary breakfast was great.
Nice location in downtown Albany. Walking distance to many restaurants and night life. Room and lobby both were very nice and felt new.

The front staff was very nice when checking in at night and upgraded my room from queen to king for myself and my husband at no additional cost. The room was as expected with a clean bathroom. Advertised as a 3 star hotel! Lots of room for improvement here. The property is tired. However the room was adequately clean. The bed was very comfortable. For the price, it turned out to be a good deal! Was I a little concerned by the dirty exterior of the property and the stained ceiling tiles in the lobby?Yes. Would I stay again? Yes. I think overall, the management is trying to offer a reasonable...
Stayed here twice. They need better maintenance staff. Management need to inspect rooms before checking in guest. On my last visit the tables had greasy finger prints and the inner latch was broken on my door. They can do better with the cleanliness.
Room comfy and clean. Beds super comfortable. Only complaint is the indoor pool area. Every seat was very wet. I had to stand the entire hour i was there with my kid watching him swim.
Had a good experience overall. When we first got there to check in, there was a huge line of people waiting to get checked in and only one person checking people in. She was very patient and efficient with making sure everyone was taken care of. Room was clean and put together well. The only problem we had was that our shower head had a huge leak coming out of the seal so we couldn't use the shower...

Great experience here. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, the bed was nice, and the breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've had. Really great value - would stay here again!
The service was great. I was having some trouble with the EV charger but Anita helped me get that going. Special thanks to her! The room was everything I expect. I enjoyed every aspect of my stay here except for one thing. I direct the following comment to the ownership group. The parking lot is getting kinda bad. It needs to be resurfaced soon please.
I was very happy to be here. Very clean and new. Bagel pizza tops ( is that the name?) instead of scrambled eggs at breakfast which was odd, in my experience. But overall no complaints. TV reception was excellent. Great mattress. I suspect this was all part of a recent renovation so I had none of the issues reported below when I stayed (which was a Sunday night). No fridge or microwave that I...
Location is good. The doors to the rooms close slowly, little weird. Desk is small. They are renovating though. Staff was friendly, cookies great
Nice area, they are renovating the hotel so it will be a lot nicer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Worth staying there again.
The bed was uncomfortable, the water was hard, and the electric kettle in the room was filthy, other than that no complaints. Friendly staff, good service, clean hotel. All said, I'd probably stay there again.

This hotel receives a lot of bad reviews and I think reality and perspective are required! You are not paying $300+ a night … not even close. You aren’t going to have a luxurious room!! :) I paid $150 for one night which included the usual amenities, breakfast the next morning, a 2-week parking stay for my vehicle and a shuttle to and from Albany airport. I mean really folks, this is a great deal!...
Attended a graduation party here and the service was great. All the workers were extremely nice and efficient. The food was also delicious. Definitely plan to come back sometime.
Updated room, well furnished, clean and comfortable. A/C worked fine. Breakfast, included in room price, had both hot and cold selections. Hot choices changed daily and they even served on Sunday. Shuttle to and from airport, and car pickup point, was flawless. Would come back to this hotel.
Basic. Not the cleanest but pleasant staff and a decent breakfast. The pool is too small to do lengths and the gym is pretty limited. A major bad point is there is no elevator in the building. People with mobility issues have to get a room on the ground floor. We weren't told this at the time of booking it caused us a lot of hassle. Other than that it's fine. Don't expect any bells and whistles.
Friendly service. This hotel was clean, I loved the chair/ottoman with the king sized bed. The heat was easily adjusted. The bed was comfortable. The only "disappointing" feature was the water stains and the hole gap by the sprinkler in the bathroom ceiling. It was nice to have almond milk at the roomy breakfast area.
Great location. Whole Foods, PF Chang's, Starbucks and other nice eating spots. Lots of shopping nearby and easy on/off of I-87.

We've stayed at many Homewood Suites, and found this one to be really excellent. Our 1 BR king executive suite was quite large, clean, and also really affordable. We loved the pool and hot tub both. My stay here was AMAZING!!! The people that helped me during the stay were Tashon, Kayla, and Robert. They showed they really cared about their people that stayed here. Breakfast was really good every morning, even if you had to take it on the go they had to go boxes and plastic utensils. It was also really nice having the pool and hot tub!!! We stayed here for a month as we waited for our house to be ready. We just moved cross country and stayed at some awful hotels and how refreshing to stay at Homewood Suites. It was nice that it was more centrally located to the areas I visited that weekend. Plenty of parking when we arrived. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. We both slept better than usual. Breakfast (hot) was worth it, nicely done. We would stay again. Very nice and quiet.
Had a great time. My daughter had a birthday party sleepover. The suite was great and clean. So was the pool area. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

This was a great hotel with exceptional Staff, clean environment, comfortable beds, was safe, great IHOP restaurant nearby for breakfast and a nice mall, The Colonie Shopping Mall.
It was a clean beautiful room I love the experience it was right across the street from the mall and a lot of different places to choose to eat from
Room was ok, but smelled of marijuana. It was a non smoking room, so not sure if someone had smokes in it or it was coming through the venting system. Because there was a $250 charge for smoking I asked the manager immediately to sign off that it wasnt us that had smokes in the room. He said I'm the manager, I won't charge you, don't worry. I was from Canada, so felt it prudent to have a signature...
The room was large and well taken care of. Everything felt comfortable. It is closer to the malls and requires a drive to any main destination but it was definitely more affordable. Albany is a small place so any drive is not that bad.
The place was not bad, the only problem was when we showed up we didn't like the location of the room. The room was nice just didn't feel comfortable with its location. We asked to be moved and the new room wasn't even as nice as the one we booked, but location was more to our liking. Absolutely amazing hotel. Showed up at 1am and the staff was so helpful and nice. The rooms are immaculate and huge, nicer than my own apartment. Breakfast was really good, far better than any other hotel buffet I’ve had. Overall, they turned a nightmarish day of traveling into a pleasant experience.
We stayed 4 days 3 nights. The room was older but still was nice. Good shower temperature and pressure. Nice bathroom counter space. Having a couch and kitchen with table was also nice. All the staff was friendly and polite. The free breakfast was very convenient with good variety (eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice). We used the whirlpool and others were...
Nice clean room. 8 suites to a chalet. You have to go outside to get to breakfast. Pool was outdoors so we didn't get to use it in March.
I had a good experience here doing my work trip. The rooms were nice, basically just studio apartments. It would have been ideal for any worker on an extended assignment where you would be leaving out of your suitcase.
Rooms are good except poor heating outside the bedroom. Also, keys constantly don't work and we have to get new ones. Besides that, staff here is amazing, specifically the cooking crew. It's also located in a good area.
It is a very nice hotel with warm and cozy rooms. The rooms have a fully functional kitchen and the one I stayed in had 3 closets as well. The breakfast is complimentary and the staff here is very nice and quite helpful as well.

The hotel was nice, with good service. It is in a great location near the hospital but also that puts it right in the city so that makes for a different pedestrians walking by. The room was extremely hot and I couldn't figure out how to work the air conditioner or it wasn't working at all. Convenient location and clean rooms, but the decor was tired and dated. There was evidence of minor water damage in the bathroom. We were only there for one night and had plans the following morning, so the lack of a free continental breakfast was not an issue. Speaking of free, beware of the "free" WiFi. You have to create an account to access it and as far as we could figure, there is no work around
We chose this Hilton for our wedding weekend, and they were amazing to work with. Sarah helped at all steps along the way and was very easy to work with. Great staff, very helpful. Particularly Josh, would like to think he sees this. Josh, a big thank you for your assistance in finding us a restaurant on Thanksgiving Day. You spent much time. Perhaps it was my threat of us coming home with you! Josh, well done. Show this to your line manager, top class customer service.
I'm here now! The rooms are clean and quiet, its a good size room and comfortable bed for a reasonable price. They do hold $50 extra for each night from your card when you check in so have some extra money in your account. I'm not a frequent traveler so I'm not sure if the $50/night hold is a normal thing or not to be honest.
It was disappointing that you have to pay for the same basic breakfast that most other hotels offer as complimentary, but other than that, my stay was great. Room was clean and up to date. Mini fridge and coffee bar in the room was a nice touch. Very generous with the towels and soaps and stuff. Would stay there again.
Rachel called to let me know they didn't have hot water but they were working on it, and we could cancel. I told her we were traveling and needed the room. Stayed overnight for a family event. Rooms are large with plenty of space for my kids to spread out. TV has the ability to sign in to Netflix, which is a plus for us. Nice breakfast with hot food. Only issue is the fan in the room is LOUD. Will stay again!
Service was great! The position of the TV needs to be changed, also the TV dims without light being on near it. We visited a relative who was spending the week in town. The lobby looked like a weird restaurant, not in a bad way. The pool was tiny but my 7 and 5 year olds enjoyed it.
Great place. Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean and and perfectly made up. Coffee maker was stocked, bottled water was provided and the bed was very comfortable.
The bedding was very comfortable, room looked newly renovated with a modern feel. Toilet and shower were in separate wash rooms, which made three person washing in parallel possible. I love Hampton and Hilton in. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Last time I was there, everything was perfect. This time around… breakfast was blah and the refrigerator in the room did not work. I did not tell the front desk bc I was only there for two nights and I already unpacked. I’m confident if I had said something, they would have sent someone or changed my room. I’d stay again....
I stayed with my son and my dog, for my son's soccer tournament. The hotel was clean, staff were welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was excellent, as were the room amenities (microwave and fridge). They use minimal disposable products, which I was happy with from a sustainability perspective. The gym was awesome and my son enjoyed the pool. I would come again and highly recommend.

We stayed in a two bedroom with a den when we visited TownePlace Suites. It is obviously an older hotel (circa popcorn ceilings) and although some of the aesthetics have been updated, the slow draining tub and sink in the bathroom made it obvious that the updates stopped with the walls. Pros: The bed is comfortable, it's really quiet. The kitchenette is great. It's a quick drive to some really nice restaurants/cafes. Cons: The room didn't seem super clean (found some dead wasps in the bathroom, the carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed). The breakfast was pretty "meh".
Decent for the price. The place is dated, but all suites nice for families. There is a pool ...outdoors for summer.
Good price to value. We are health and cleanliness focused. As such, we were disappointed that hygienic ice bucket liners were not available. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. After a long day of travelling I was excited to learn they had a complimentary dinner served with beer & wine. Would definitely recommend it!

Airport convenience, nice appearance. Reasonable price for the area... but you better be a sound sleeper if you have the AC on. Wow so loud. Couldn't sleep. Turned it off and listened to the hum from adjacent rooms. So, not staying here again. Test, done.
My daughter’s flight was diverted from LGA to Albany. We made a last minute reservation. She missed what was supposed to be the last shuttle, but made sure to go back to get her. The staff was above and beyond accommodating. They made sure she was safe and cared for. I cannot thank them enough or show enough gratitude.
My stay was great, the hotel is great, clean and close to the airport. 24/7 check in which is really hepful when your flight is delayed
Absolutely wonderful in every way! Beautiful rooms, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff and best of all, it was connected to the wonderful Hyde Park restaurant. There is also a dog park in the center courtyard that was perfect for my service dog.
Staff were some of the nicest we've encountered. Room was great and very clean. Food and coffee was very good. They were short staffed but they did their best and we're very polite.
Beautiful hotel with very nicely newly renovated and spacious rooms. Booked different room types for family visit and the king bed room was very spacious. Could fit another king in it. Double queen beds room always also very spacious. Receptionist was very courteous and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay. My only regret was not asking for a tub (my bad, assumed it had) to have a bubble bath after...

Clean quiet rooms right across the street from the University. They serve both a happy hour in the evening and a continental breakfast in the morning
Booked a two-bedroom suite with another couple for a better rate than we could have got for two separate rooms. The living room was much better suited for socializing than a standard hotel room. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. A nice variety of food was provided at the complimentary breakfast.
Big room, clean. Very good breakfast. Bathroom fan didn't work, and you really had to maneuver the faucet to get it to stop running. Good price for the room. Very spacious. I wish I used the kitchenette just didn't need to.
Breakfast was great, room comfy and soundproof (neighborh was loud but didn't I hear a single thing once the door was closed) and the price was fair.
Older but well maintained all-suite hotel. Rooms are spacious and they have a full kitchen with oven and DW in every room. Laundry machines are free. Just bring your soap and dryer sheets. Good rates most days. Very close to UAlbany.
Staff has been helpful. The rooms are dated and not cleaned well but the price for a long term stay were very reasonable. Just be sure to get your own cleaning supplies.
