Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa, Aloha Kona1 / 50
Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa
Aloha Kona, 78-128 Ehukai Street 🧭 Map
Hotel has mold issues, decor/rooms are dated. The grout needed a good cleaning, the shower decorative rings we're falling off. Beds were not terribly comfortable. If you have lergies to cats, they have strays that hang out by/in Ray's (restaurant). The location was nice, might do in a pinch if you get a room without mold spots. Being on an old lava flow was pretty interesting. Seemed to be far from...
The resort was very nice. It felt open and airy with beautiful ocean views. The courtyard area featured a sprawling pool with a walk-over bridge and a waterfall. The pool extended to the exterior where there was a sizable water slide. The room and bed we're comfortable, though the bathroom lacked any charm whatsoever. Overall, I was pleased with the stay.
On the first night of our stay, we were surprised to see that we only had one king-sized bed in our room. We are a family of four so that was simply not enough. We called the front desk, asking for a different room, but they said that they did not have any available rooms. This I do not believe because Sheraton Kona is a huge resort with several floors and wings. Even though it was not their fault...
Second time at the Sheraton and probably not our last. The rooms are comfortable, with nice beds/linens, small fridge, and balcony. The A/C worked almost too well. The rooms are a bit dated with some signs of wear and tear, but I didn't come to Hawaii to spend my time in a hotel room. The pool is great, especially if you have kids. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the ability to check out basketballs...
Be prepared for a $30/day +tax “resort fee” that includes a lot of amenities you will not use. The WiFi was incredibly spotty- rendering it almost unusable. No room service. They used to have it- but not anymore. All the services were average/poor in my opinion for a “4 star” hotel. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning in the room is very cool- sleeping was...

Nice staff. Hotel could use some updates. Carpet should definitely go, smells mildewy. Gym was basic and small (more than 3 people was a crowd). Nice location in heart of kona so that is nice. Great historical museum/contribution throughout the hotel on the Kamehameha family. ABC store connected to hotel as well As a coffee shop and shave ice. Pool bar has a nice happy hour and cheerful servers. Only...
Nice place. Nice location. Food and shopping very nearby and you feel like you're right in town. Small hotel beach but close to boat rentals and super convenient if you're staying at the hotel. Mini-mall as part of the hotel with a coffee shop, awesome shave ice, and ABC convenience store. Rooms were decent and service was good. Not as fancy as other resorts but appreciably relaxing there, you definitely...
Great service and great location. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are great. There is a small beach inside a protected inlet that the kids loved to snorkel in. They saw all kinds of fish and crabs. They have a small pool there too. The location is next to many little shops to walk through. I will be staying here again.
The luau was fantastic in almost every respect, the only downside was that they take advantage of your vacation splurging and try to upsell you on average 20% more than the cost of the luau. When tickets average ~$100, the $10 for flower leighs and $20 for the picture don't seem like too bad of pricing, but does feel to cheapen the experience. Personally I'd be happier spending an additional $20/person...
Friendly accomodating staff. Clean room and comfortable bed. Great view of the bay. Nice sand beach. Plan on eating at one of the nice restaurants close by within walking distance and stroll down Ali'i Drive and shop.
The Courtyard by Marriott is close to many amenities and restaurants are within walking distance. Outside the hotel is a small beach area where you can swim. The water is clear and the location is absolutely amazing. There is a spa located on the main floor, along with a gym area and shops. The hotel has a pool next to the restaurant.

Front desk needs better training. They sent me to the wrong building and disclosed incorrect information about the resort fee. Also the wifi in the hotel sucks. There is street parking that is between the hotel buildings and their parking lots. If you arrive in the afternoon, you can usually find a spot and save yourself $25. Also, I booked my stay here about three months early. When I checked rates...
Location can’t be beat. The lobby is incredible. Complimentary Mai Tai’s at check in is a good plus. King beds are not guaranteed so when we showed up we ended up having to pay an extra $60/night so we could sleep in the same bed. We had a corner king room and the view was amazing. The water pressure in the shower was some of the worst I’ve seen, and after long days outside in the saltwater, you need...
The service at the hotel as well as the quality of the room was excellent. There was a little exterior work being done, but it was almost unnoticeable while we were there. The interior courtyard of our building was a little rough on the edges and could use a little refresh. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again. While we had a car for other travel sightseeing, we enjoyed having so much...
Really enjoyed this hotel! Rooms are a bit outdated but the service, friendliness, and scenery overcome that obstacle. Lacy served us(a good size group) two nights in the bar and didn't miss a beat. She was amazing and fun! Saw Spinner dolphins around 2-3 daily. The open air restaurant and bar had great food and portions for a very reasonable price. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side...
I have to start by saying that even though I am giving this review I would likely stay here again due to the location of this hotel. The rooms are standard hotel rooms, a bit spacious but musty/mildew smells and old lighting fixtures. I believe a 3 star rating is accurate. It’s an older hotel. It is updated in certain areas like check in. The rooms were a bit dingy. Unfortunately we were not able to...
The location is great! It is very convenient as it is in the center of the village. The beaches are all nearby, and several are within walking distance. Also quite near is the main nightlife of the place. The hotel itself is very comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Finally, it has a super cool Luau show! Totally worthy.

We booked a Hotwire 3.5 star condo and got this. Not bad for what we paid. Spacious floor plans. No beach / waterfront access near as I can tell.
Another great reason to stay here: AT&T Wi-Fi is one of the many amenities here for guests. It’s fast and easy to connect.

Great large apartments. I like that they have invested in solar panels and that the AC turns off when the balcony door are open. Great parking spaces, comfy beds. Reasonably close to Kailua-Kona centre.
Two different stays in a 2 bed dlx: In both stays we had a balcony with 2 beach type chairs, a small table & a close up, lovely ocean view. Both units had a lot of natural light in both bedrooms. This is a Wyndham timeshare.
Convenient location. Great landscaping! Good service. Well appointed comfy rooms, including bathrooms & kitchen. Adequate parking. We stayed 4 nights in Nov and were very satisfied with arrangements. They could not give us late checkout on the departure day so had to vacate by 10 am.
I love this place. The views are just so beautiful and the staff are unbelievable. There so nice. Close to town and they have a shuttle bus that picks people up.
I like this place. Well organized and managed. 2 pools and the apartments are really nice. Waste sorting as well which is great. Nice AC and Wifi works.
The two bedroom deluxe is great, make sure to get ocean views. The pools are small but great for kids

Shared an apartment with two companions during our week there. Our lodgings and the whole property were nicely appointed. Inside our rooms were two bedrooms, two full baths, a living room with a sofa bed, and a kitchen with everything needed to cook a vacation meal if you were so inclined. Outside, two grills are ready for guests to use. Sitting on our Lanai, we were able to enjoy hearing birdsong...
We were put into a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with all the immenities we could want. We were super happy to find the washer and dryer since we had very dirty clothing from a 6 mile hike that was very dusty and hot. Only disappointment was the jacuzzi tub won't hold water. Bummer since we were looking forward to it after hiking. Check in and out was a breeze. We opted out of the timeshare presentation...
Generally a lovely experience but our room needed some updating. Light switches to nothing. Or placed in the oddest locations. Smelled like it had been closed up for a while. Toilets all ran without making sure you fiddled with the handles. Just small things. But the location was perfect and the landscaping and feel we're beautiful. The staff. Was more than accommodating.
Where do I begin the resort is well maintained, the floral landscape, the rooms, the pool/spa area. The grounds offer such invitation to relax. I traveled with my 7&9 year to celebrate my 50th birthday and low and behold the answer to my prayers was "Ms. Joy" resort coordinator. She was phenomenal! Each days activity offers more information on the Hawaiian culture, dance, Leis, history, the arts and...
Very spacious and clean rooms with much to do all around the resort. Pretty close to restaurants and a few beaches. A bit of a drive to get to the popular beaches farther up north but a great choice to stay at in Kona
Staff were very friendly and they'll give you money if you sit through their timeshare routine. the villas are also very nice and had plenty of space. Would definitely recommend.

My overall stay was good at the Royal Sea Cliff. The air conditioner was adequate and the staff is very friendly and accommodating to their guests. I truly enjoy how they connect their guests to do many companies in Kona and help them get better deals to adventure and explore the island. Overall, my stay has been good and I would recommend it to others.
They have been very helpful and have accomadates all my needs. This hotel also provided a lot of helpful information for a Hawaiian vacation and any adventurous activities that can be done in the area. So I enjoy my stay so far.
Finally getting around to reviewing. We stayed there last year through a Costco travel arrangement, and lucked out on the room. Because many of the rooms are individually owned, there's some that are nicer and more updated than others. Gorgeous view, large accommodations. Weird experience one night where I was in bed and it started shaking for about a minute. It didn't wake up my husband, but I...
Perfect clean, beautiful, spacious suite for a family vacation. Everything we needed was right there - blender, hair dryer, iron, beach towels. Didn't hear any noise. Staff was very kind and engaging. The plants throughout the terraced open air courtyard are gorgeous. If you have teenagers (we do), this location is great - there isn't a playground or easy beach access so I imagine with toddlers, perhaps...
Nice location with an ocean view. Staff at the front desk were helpful. Our suite was fine, although clearly well used. The carpets were stained and bathroom was a little grimey. The tub got stopped up every time we showered. If you sit through the Wyndham timeshare presentation, you get a free gift.

This place was perfect in every way. The grounds are well-kept, and our condo unit was exquisite, with a beautiful lanai and spacious, well-stocked kitchen. The location is also great - it's so close to an excellent supermarket, and just a short walk to the bay that has snorkeling trips and manta ray swims. We definitely will stay here next time we visit.
We stayed at Kanaloa at Kona Condo 2204 in January 2024 for two wonderful weeks. Darrell quickly responded to any inquiries and was a joy to deal with. The condo was very well appointed, commanding one of the best locations in the resort with picture perfect views of the sunset from the lanai and easy access to all three pools. This property had so many beautiful features- very comfortable and spacious rooms, amazing pools and views, lush greenery and access to shopping nearby and the main town a short drive away.
Airbnb’s site for Kanaloa at Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii shows a list of icons of amenities including air conditioning. I loved it there. It was affordable, clean, and I had a private lanai facing the pool. The only thing missing was a kitchenette. But other than that, perfect. I walked across the street to the ocean every morning. There’s a picture right below.
Room was clean except the floors were fithly, we ended up putting used towels on the floor to walk on. The location was good and worked for us, the price was good as well and all rooms had balconies. All the staff members were great. We'd consider staying again, but will definitely ask to see the room first.
This place is a dump. Don't stay here. No AC and lots of mildew and or mold. I felt like I needed a silkwood shower after staying here.

A short trip from the airport to a beautiful location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The inn was very comfortable and beautifully designed. Lots of covered but open spaces. We absolutely loved our stay at the Holualoa Inn! We stayed in the Red Barn for 5 nights - the space was enormous and so secluded and peaceful. Absolutely in love with this place. Peaceful, tranquil but close enough to everything and everywhere you'd want to explore. What a very lucky find. My husband and I spent two glorious nights at Lilikoi Inn. Our hosts Shai and Trina were warm and welcoming. Shai is an amazing chef who made us amazing breakfasts. He gives great advice on what to do while in Kona. We followed his directions to a tee and we were thrilled with our itinerary ! Our room was beautiful, clean homey and delightful. We will return.
Trina and Shai have created a lovely B&B for guests to relax, unwind & rejuvenate. The views from the balconies are incredible, Shai’s homemade breakfasts are delicious and the bed we stayed on was very comfortable.

Fully refinished and expanded, this place is so convenient to Kona airport, Kailua-Kona, and places north. So peaceful and relaxing. Enjoy a simple stay on a working coffee farm.
We are truly enjoying a tranquility that you can't get at any resort. Peaceful with a fabulous view of the ocean. The sunsets here are gorgeous. The hosts (owners) are such lovely people. We have enjoyed visiting with them and learned so much about the area, climate, etc.. and of course Kona coffee. Fresh fruits and veggies with breakfast every day.
I recommend this BnB. Squeaky clean, comfortable beds, quite peaceful mountainside retreat with a western coast view not to miss. Excellent place to unwind. Stay to the left to get the right driveway as it is a 1/2 mile drive to the BnB as it is a coffee farm. Nice hosts. Good munchies in the AM.
Lovely calm B'n'B, gorgeous varying breakfirst (thanks Marsha!), interesting facts on coffee growth and production. Try the dark roast coffee for breakfirst! Would come back :).
Wonderful little bnb with a terrific view down the hill to Kona. The breakfast was delicious, and the owners were extremely helpful and interesting. We love this resort that is next to a golf club. The condos are very spacious like a home. Dated decor but they have started renovating. Very quiet, peaceful with gardens all around. Most cars must park in the garage away from the condo units but you can ask for assistance with your groceries or bags.
Got the 2 bedroom garden view. Love the place however you would need a car if you want to go places. The place was clean, big and nice. It's quiet and not crowded. Don't have housekeeping but can call the front desk if you need something.
Great place! We stayed 5 nights and it was quite and no need to worry about noises. Besides, the resort is a natural-closed area and you can find some amazing small animals in this beautiful area. We stayed in a 1b1b room and it had everything we needed, including washer, dryer and dish washer. The staffs here are pretty nice and kind!
Units are very clean, spacious, and well appointed, however slightly dated, but they even admit that the kitchen and bath renovations are on "island time". The grounds are beautiful and nicely manicured. There are multiple pools throughout the facility, as well as many tennis courts. There are several BBQs across the property, that include sanitizing stations. The only 2 cons I can come up...
My wife and I went for our honeymoon and we had a great time. The suite and the staff were excellent. It’s really nice that there are 6 pools on the property because if there were people at one, we could just walk to another.
