We stayed here with celebrity cruise lines for a land travel stay We enjoyed the location of this hotel and had a beautiful view the mountains. The concierge lounge gives a standard breakfast to get your day started. The gentleman working the lounge was extremely considerate and made sure we left with waters to have for our day My daughter used the gym and we sat by the pool for a little social time. If you go to anchorage consider staying here. Plus it is good walking distance to wild scoops. Get the baked Alaska ice cream!!!

We came the day before a cruise. The hotel was wonderful. We had a very good meal in the concierge lounge. Our stay was short, but we enjoyed it greatly.

I feel I'm being generous giving this hotel a 3 stars. We stayed here one night before a cruise. The rooms were average... although I didn't get the feeling the rooms were very clean based on a few things I noticed (see the photo I've posted of the light switch in the bathroom). Yuck. There was one bell person to handle all the luggage for busloads of people checking in. My husband found our luggage unattended in the front of the hotel with other luggage and brought it in himself. The area around the hotel seemed a bit sketchy so I'm glad nothing happened to our luggage. Not sure what other choices you have for staying before a cruise... may the odds be ever in your favor.

I’d like to give special thanks to Mila Ostojic, who served me at breakfast in the Marriott. She was kind, professional, and made me feel very welcome. Excellent service! The hotel itself is fantastic — great breakfast, friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. I look forward to coming back.

Consistent Marriott facilities, clean and well maintained. Front desk service is a little dry, but professional and helpful. Don't be discouraged by the very serious demeanor. I had an issue with my key and they were very helpful. So, I am ok with the lack of smiles. The breakfast buffet was good and the service there was outstanding. We also tried the bar/restaurant on site and the food was excellent. I wish I had known before. I would have eaten there more times. I recommend the bear battered fish and the lava cake. They were outstanding!

Rajesh was amazing. He always made sure that we had enough to drink and he would also wait at the omelette and waffle bar just to deliver it to us when it was ready to eat. If you go to the Marriott in Anchorage i highly recommend trying to get Rajesh as a waiter! He is the best!

The bed stood out here as exceptional. The property was clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and in very good working order. Hotel staff were very helpful. The in house restaurant was expensive but the breakfast buffet was quite good, offering omelets and waffles to order, plus abundant fruits. Most of the guests appeared to be tour groups. There is a bar in the hotel too.

Restaurant - Rajesh treated us with a sense of respect, importance, elegance. Attentive to our needs and while it is a Buffett hand delivered the items I was waiting on like toast and my omelet that I order. Essentially I didn’t have to wait myself and he brought it to the table directly. Excellent service Rajesh! Food was excellent and fresh fruit etc. only draw back was no Grape Jelly.

Been coming here over the last 10 years, and while there was some remodeling done - they were all cosmetic. The A/C and furnace still use old technology with water pipes that need to be turned ON/OFF by the maintenance folks when the seasons change. Very bothersome asking for this, as they are usually not ahead of the game here. Beds are all sunken, and not firm anymore after years of utilization. Sheets are not pressed, and wrinkled - even looked like someone's been on it before. Golly - I really hope they do change the sheets. Lighting in the rooms is actually too dim, even with the backlighting. Fitness room has equipment dating back to the 2000s. Some are even broken and the free weights have rust accumulation. Definitely need a major update. Compared to many Marriotts (especially overseas), this property is far from the brand's image.
