Was in great location for walking in Anchorage. Seemed a little tired in decor & accommodation. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Tried to book another night and they were full. We had to transfer to another hotel for our extended stay after getting off the ship.

Not sure how to rate this hotel. Hotel in Alaska are generally no frills. This hotel on the other hand has a lot of services. It is older and could use some touching up. But then again, this is Alaska and this is a great hotel by Alaska standards. The best hotel in Anchorage! Location is superb, staff are friendly and helpful, makes you feel at home. The interior is rather outdated but the place is well maintained and clean. Easily fully booked so plan the trip as early as possible. Plenty of famous eateries around hotel but at the moment we stayed there, nearby pharmacies or groceries were non existent so load up before check in.

An excellent location in the hub of Anchorage, this charming hotel is a great destination for your daily adventures. The food is good, and staff are excellent and friendly. This hotel has an awesome location situated right in downtown Anchorage surrounded by other cool restaurants, bars and everything was walkable. Hotel had a great vibe. We stayed in a room which was on the higher floors and had a great view. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. However I felt that the rooms were on the pricier side.

We have had a wonderful stay! New gym with great equipment, hot tub, and salt water pool. Food is top notch. So clean. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. We’ll be back!

Hotel service is extraordinary. Last night we were cold, tired after a long business day and wanted some hot drinks. Lola and Dave went out of their way, opened up the coffee bar ( after it had closed hours ago), to steam hot milk and make us fresh hot chocolate. No charge. They are so helpful that all we had to do was ask, and they stepped up was the best service attitude ever. Spectacular.

Stayed here for a banquet, only reason I chose this hotel. For the price I was disappointed. First the good; front desk staff was wonderful, rooms were clean. Negative; no bath tub, one of the blackout curtains was missing from our room, and there were issues communicating and retreiving our car. Not what I would expect for the price.

Great experience! I was in Anchorage for a conference and the service was great! The staff was very pleasant to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The room service was great as well! Room was clean when I got there and everyday had great cleaning service! My view from the room was great as well! Of course when the weather was nice!

Easy to find and a short taxi ride from the airport. Taxi and Lyft prices are similar. Hotel has a very helpful staff with clean and well appointed rooms. There is a bar and a restaurant on site and a fitness room. There is a nice concierge room for higher-tier Marriott Rewards members where there is a free breakfast as well as light fare and deserts in the evenings.

The room was nice and the bathroom was too small to clear the toilet. When you entered it you had to step around the toilet to close the door - - -poor remodeling plan... Closest ice was 7 floors down on 8th floor and had minimal signs to locate it. The staff was great however as was the breakfast buffet. The bartender that served us Sunday night was fantastic.

Large clean newly renovated rooms. Service is excellent. Parking is $15 though you can also park on street if you desire. Some blocks away from actual downtown but not too inconvenient.

Very small bathrooms. Rooms are okay. Always clean. Beds are why we stay there. Amazing beds and bedding. Friendly staff. The food is very good but the menu is extremely limited. There is only bar type seating for dinner. This is our home away from home. We stay there at least twice a month.

This hotel was wonderful! They took dozens of us in last minute when a flight cancelled, fed us pizza at midnight or so after getting there because we were all starving, and kept some great company as we were there for the next day. If I ever go back to Anchorage, I am going to stay there again. This is a locally-owned hotel and the husband and wife who run it are great people.

Place is comfortable, clean and not fancy. Not a bad place to stay. If you are used to regular fancy hotels, stay elsewhere. However if you like a bit more character, but still good, give this place a try. :)

Love the location of this place. Is a bit out of town but have a free shuttle. Staff have been great and food in the restaurants can be a little pricey but really good. Can't beat sitting out on the deck watching the float planes take off and land. Will definitely come back here again.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a view of Lake Hood and could see the float planes taking off and landing. There was a regular shuttle from the hotel to downtown Anchorage which we found very convenient. The Fancy Moose was a relaxed atmosphere for a casual meal with live music from a singer and his guitar.

Love this hotel and the location. Staff is always really friendly. Food is good as well. There's a free shuttle into town during the summer months. Rooms have excellent black out curtains, soft, comfortable beds. The lake is right there which provides great scenic views and wildlife (keep an eye out for the moose though).

Nice hotel. Breakfast was very good. Nice lobby. Swimming pool was open and nice, although could use a cleaning. Our key cards did stop working 15 minutes before noon which was annoying when we were trying to pack. Thankfully my 5 year old could open the door. Every employee we encountered at this hotel was amazing. They went above and beyond to help us. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast is very good. One of the best places to stay in Anchorage. Clean rooms very new feel to the building. Has a bar in the lobby and a kitchen. Extra large room with basic furnishings. Breakfast is free, but very simple. Housekeeping service ran really late, one time when we came back at 5pm, they were still cleaning the room; next day, they came at 4:15pm, and they can't come back at later time, so we only asked for clean towels without cleaning the room.

There's little I enjoy more than being recognized at a hotel. Good management creates great employees, and the adjacent Garden Inn folks are the best with Homewood very close behind. Neither hotel recognizes Diamond members with more than words and higher-end Internet access. (You'll have to have the Internet charges deducted from the bill.)

For what was presented for Sunday night fare was non-existent, hadn't been told they don't have a fare on Sun. Monday was not what was supposed to be. Facility had everything plus more than we expected. To have a kitchenette with full refrigerator was a pleasant surprise. Curtains block out sun a big plus.

This hotel was great, and was pretty standard of what you come to expect of a Homewood Suites. The TV service was good and had an actual menu! I did manage to get a good rate for an event in town, but I noticed after I'd gone home that there was an extra $20 for the rate on the 2nd out of 3 nights, with zero explanation. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Large rooms but pool is very cold, I'm not even sure it was heated beyond room temp and spa was down which was A disappointment because i called and asked if they had a hot tub and pool and they said yes and never mentioned that the hot tub didn't work

The service and breakfast were great. The location was great. Our room smelled like pool. The building was being renovated which excused the smells in the hallways and stairwells, but our room shouldnt have smelt like that. The parking was limited, and I had to park on the dimly lit street in a less than comfortable part of town.

The staff is welcoming and very nice! The rooms are clean and smell clean. The bedroom is separate from the living area by a door. A TV in each room, which is nice if someone wants to sleep and the other person is wide awake. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast - eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee, etc... Lots of choices all good, no reason to leave hungry....

The ladies working at the Townplace Suites Anchorage are top notch employees (Falei ..serving breakfast and Kone working the front desk) ( I probably spelled the names wrong) they went over and beyond to make my stay pleasant. They are always smiling and a joy to see when staying there.

We were in Isolation 5 days due to positive Covid result for me. My wife had to be in also. The Mgr, Gordon was extremely helpful & went above & beyond to shop for us, Milk, eggs, etc. He also provided much needed info as to rules, etc & leaving for our flights home. Thank you, Gordon !!

The staff were lovely but housekeeping was not great. Not the worst but not great. The bath gel and shampoo dispensers were empty and when we went looking for dishes in the cabinets there weren't many because most of the dishes were in the dishwasher.
