I was seriously not excited about staying in a best western but the Big Bear Château is a very charming vintage hotel. The staff is excellent. Cozy beds, warm fire place in my room. It is a basic motel 6. We needed somewhere to stay and this did the trick. There’s no pet fee, of course. The heaters were out so they provided space heaters for us. I do feel like the price is a little high for the quality of room, but I don’t have any complaints. The staff was really kind and nice too!

Wasn't expecting much but it wasn't as well kept as ai hoped. There was some hair on one of our beds, under the pillow, that didn't belong to my wife or I. The bathroom had a bit of mold growing in it on the ceiling and you could smell it too (you know that subtle but undeniable old gym bag smell).

This place is so cozy and charming. We loved sitting on the back patio for coffee and looking over the lake. Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s romantic and it’s private and it’s a two minute walk to the fun center. It is clean with plenty of clean towels… A kitchenette and a grill. Omg the cutest little cabin perfect for the little family getaway. Loved it. They have little plug in Heaters in each room & a heated blanket too. My babies slept as if they were at home ! Suggest making all your last min stops before driving up there. We had to drive an hour away cause we forgot to stop at the store

We showed up without a reservation, but had no trouble getting a cabin for the night. Called the manager, who was off-site, he met us there within 5 min. What a hidden gem this place is!!!! The price for what you get is unbeatable. The cottages are very cute and unbelievably cozy and comfortable!! Everything was spotlessly clean and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Absolutely recommended!! The basic cottages do not have microwave nor coffee , so if you need those, need to upgrade.

Stayed for 4 nights over MLK weekend. Staff was friendly enough and the room was clean and very cozy. Always had a parking spot even after it got crowded sat/sun. Picked the place online, with the big tub and fireplace as selling points. Was disappointed when I arrived and learned I wasnt allowed to use bubble bath in the tub or burn real wood in the fireplace (duraflame only).

The room was clean and quiet. However, it was really hot inside and AC wasn't functional. We turned on all the fans but the ventilation was just not enough to cool the room. It’s kind of late when we returned from the local bar so we didn’t bother to ask front desk but definitely check the AC when you first got the room.

My family and I went to Big Bear lake for a mini vacation and we had a great time. The Travelodge was the best. It's not five star hotel, but I give them 5 stars for Service and accommodations. It's the best deal for the money.
