This place is so cozy and charming. We loved sitting on the back patio for coffee and looking over the lake. I was seriously not excited about staying in a best western but the Big Bear Château is a very charming vintage hotel. The staff is excellent. Cozy beds, warm fire place in my room. Very nice place to stay at when it’s covered by snow. Not too much cold as I expected, but enough to hold a snowman stand still for a week 😀. Fire pits, dining area, whole kitchen, a small church like those in the monasteries of the Egyptian deserts. One floor and two floor cabins. Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s romantic and it’s private and it’s a two minute walk to the fun center. It is clean with plenty of clean towels… A kitchenette and a grill. Stayed there for the night for a friend's birthday .. requested a late check out after check in and was accommodated at no charge for a extra 1 hour and half. The only bad thing we experienced was the room didn't look as clean other than that great stay.

What a quaint little find in the middle of Big Bear Village! Vintage props lined the room and we found the accommodations to be very spacious for a family of three with a pooch. We had a 2 full size bed room, one of the cheaper and it was definitely NO frills. The beds were not very comfortable at all, no AC for summer, but there was a mini fridge and a little desk. The whole cabin was beautiful. My family stayed in a two story with plenty of room for recreation. The hot tub was amazing and board games and pool was very fun. The room was clean and quiet. However, it was really hot inside and AC wasn't functional. We turned on all the fans but the ventilation was just not enough to cool the room. It’s kind of late when we returned from the local bar so we didn’t bother to ask front desk but definitely check the AC when you first got the room.

Great little cabin. Well equiped with kitchen cooking facilities and a good amount of space. Easy access to the village centre . Highly recommend . Pull out sofa bed is suitable for kids/young teens but wouldn’t recommend the pull out for adults .

Great location, so close to Woodland trail, Boulder Bay park and Castle Rock trail. And the Village is in walking distance but it’s so quiet here in the cabins! The Cabin is very clean and they use brand shampoo, dishwash and hand wash. We had a perfect getaway with the kids enjoying their s’mores. Love the peaceful night here and the hospitality from the host manager David!
