Spent a wonderful anniversary weekend here. Our room had a bathtub so big I could swim in it. The breakfasts were delicious and the owners are so welcoming and warm. It was a truly wonderful place to stay. The home itself is a absolutely work of art and spotless. This was in March and not being used to the cold I had never been anywhere that cold silly summer child lol. I look forward to visiting in...
This is a super laid back atmosphere in a beautiful cabin with outstanding breakfast and the host are so knowledgeable about the area and things that are available to do for guest. We will be coming back to stay again
We really enjoyed are 2 night stay. Bill and Nancy are great hosts! The breakfasts were really good! We loved the dog Bo!
This place is so cozy and charming. We loved sitting on the back patio for coffee and looking over the lake. The food is excellent, the owners sit and eat with you and you can tell they really value their guests. Very helpful if you need recommendations on where to hike, eat, or sight see. Highly recommend staying here!
Everything plus more than a B&B... a quick relaxing getaway, amazing views, cozy, uber comfortable linens and beds... Nancy was fantastic!
It was a wonderful and welcoming place, the service was excellent. You have an excellent view of the lake. It was overall a great experience and the staff was attentive and professional.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B and the experience was amazing! Fantastic gormet breakfast with superb incredients, warm hospitality, cozy accommodations, wine and delicious appetizers are impossible to beat. My only complaint is that they have ruined any other B&B experience for us in the future :) we are without a doubt coming back and bringing our family and friends. From the bottom of our hearts...
This is the perfect place to stay when you visit Big Bear. Johann and Evelyn are the nicest host you can ask for. The main building is like a huge cabin but gives out such homely feeling. The rooms are cozy and quiet. One thing you will love here is the food. Johann is a cooking ensusiastic. He really put his heart in his cooking. He always servers South Africa style breakfast, which is included in...
This was my first experience at a Bed and Breakfast, and I am afraid that my future expectations have been set pretty high by the Alpenhorn! I really can't think of a thing I would change or improve on! Johann greeted us by name at the front door when we arrived. We got settled into our room and then he invited us down to the kitchen to see some of the preparations for the following nights meal...
The Alpenhorn is one of the best B&B inns we've ever stayed at. Innkeepers Johann and Evelyn are as gracious as they come. They made us feel so welcome. And the food, I can't say enough about it. This is an area where a lot of B&B's fall down, but the Alpenhorn shines. Johann is a world class chef and his hors d'oeuvres where nothing short of 5 star. A full gourmet breakfast awaits you every morning...
Celebrated friend's wedding here. The venue was beautiful and the hosts cooked incredible South African food. Absolutely recommend this place!
Hands down the best B 'n B experience I've had. The first B: comfortable bed, romantic room with a fireplace, and beautiful view of a verdant, peaceful backyard. The location is within walking distance of the lake and local hikes. Intimate and cozy. The second B: I am still thinking about the breakfast months later. Johann is an incredible cook and knows his ingredients inside and out. (And explains...

Breakfast - nice surprise. Very good - location hotel staff cleanliness! This is our 2nd stay. Yes! Definitely we will be staying here again in Oct. great value- no hassle- perfect for families!!
I was seriously not excited about staying in a best western but the Big Bear Château is a very charming vintage hotel. The staff is excellent. Cozy beds, warm fire place in my room. We had dinner at the restaurant and it’s very convenient and tasty. The breakfast included in your stay is very convenient. Another added extra is the trail behind the hotel. We played in the snow and enjoyed our time.
I loved the quiet, serene feel and small forest trail behind property away from crowds but close enough to access everything. It is a unique property and didn’t feel like a generic chain hotel. Walls are really nice and thick and I didn’t hear any neighboring lodgers. The front desk staff was really kind and friendly. Breakfast had a lot of options, and I really liked the fruit salad. The quality of...
Wonderful stay! Room was very clean and the bathroom and shower were nice. Complimentary breakfast was good as well with lots of options. About 5 mins away from Snow Summit and Bear Mountain with a shuttle that will take you to either. Walking distance to some good places as well. Great stay for real.
Our stay was great! Met all our expectations and included free breakfast with various options. Our room had a nice fire place which we loved! Staff was super helpful and welcoming Kimberly and Penny made our stay smooth and very easy! We enjoyed the game room and can’t wait to go back!
My wife and I had a very nice stay at the Chateau. Our room with a gas fireplace was very nice. Very clean and nicely decorated. The included breakfast buffet was nice also. Had various types of scramble eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit in one self serve line. The other had a pancake machine, cereals hot and cold, yogurts, bread for toast and some darn good muffins that went well with their...

Was here the weekend of August 13th. It was good to get away from the city, perfect time ,just before the kids go back to school, quiet ,very clean and plenty of activities for the kids to have a blast. The host Jesus was very attentive and friendly, always making sure we we’re having a pleasant time and asking if we needed anything, he had some good pointers for a hiking trail and places to eat. Stayed at Noon Lodge in August 2022. Instantly fell in love with the lodge the moment we parked. I wanted to leave this review to thank Jesus the Manager of the property for making our stay perfect. He was very sweet and accommodating, working hard to make everyone's stay perfect. One item we were hoping for was the lake access from the property. Unfortunately there is no water at the dock on the...
Great scenic remodeled lodge in Big Bear. Big pool, shuffle board, bachi ball, evening fire pits, fire place with comfortable seating.. My only complaint would be the couches in seating in the living rooms need to be replaced. Jesus does a great job at maintaining the grounds and dealing with any issues that you may have. Very nice place to stay at when it’s covered by snow. Not too much cold as I expected, but enough to hold a snowman stand still for a week 😀. Fire pits, dining area, whole kitchen, a small church like those in the monasteries of the Egyptian deserts. One floor and two floor cabins. A very different experience, and I definitely recommend it, for a small or a big number of people.
I Like the place,The man in the management is really a very professional one and helpful. all the time asking if we need anything and gave us late checkout because of the weather.....Thanks Samy for your help .
The manager is awesome. He was able to accommodate my reservations since I had to make two to three changes. The cabins are perfect, very cozy and inviting. I really recommend this place.
Came here two months ago with my wife and we loved it. The price was reasonable, our little cabin for two, the number 15, was homey and cozy. Two months later, we're back for seconds but this time around we stayed at cabin number five. Eddy was very hospitable and attentive to us. Our little cabin had a jacuzzi and came with everything we could possibly need. The place was spotless when we arrived...
Great service. Very accommodating gave us a late check-out no problem. Cabins are clean and well taken care of. Pillows leave something to be desired. Would recommend it to somebody who is looking for a unique mountain cabin experiance and doesn't want the cookie cutter convenience of a chain hotel

Place was amazing! We will absolutely be back. Staff was awesome!!! Cabin had a nice cozy home atmosphere. I've read recent post where people mentioned the cabins were falling apart or needed remodeling...
Amazingly nice owners who go the extra mile. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Landscaping is awesome! Easy check in and out. Was allowed to check in earlier since we arrived too early. My hubby and I stayed last weekend. We explored the Big Bear Village. Had a great lunch in town. Then, set off to our cozy studio. It was perfect. We stayed in #1 Sunday evening. Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s romantic and it’s private and it’s a two minute walk to the fun center. It is clean with plenty of clean towels… A kitchenette and a grill. It has a large bed and the Jacuzzi tub is big enough for two large people. Has a flat screen TV with all of the movie apps and a fireplace as well. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

This is certainly the best deal in big bear. If you are planning a trip, I suggest you go during the week. Weekend prices in big bear are 300-400% higher. After hiking the PCT, this is sheer luxury! What an amazing place to stay in Big Bear Lake. Close to local bars & restaurants and the jacuzzi bath is just excellent for aching feet and legs. Would definitely recommend!!!
Small boutique hotel that is very cute. Nice modern design to the room. Has a big flat screen TV. Nice and warm room! Enjoyed the indoor hot tub. Will stay here again!
Stayed there for the night for a friend's birthday .. requested a late check out after check in and was accommodated at no charge for a extra 1 hour and half. The only bad thing we experienced was the room didn't look as clean other than that great stay.

Omg the cutest little cabin perfect for the little family getaway. Loved it. They have little plug in Heaters in each room & a heated blanket too. My babies slept as if they were at home ! Suggest making all your last min stops before driving up there. We had to drive an hour away cause we forgot to stop at the store
We showed up without a reservation, but had no trouble getting a cabin for the night. Called the manager, who was off-site, he met us there within 5 min. Cabin was definitely dated, hello 1980's, but was clean & super cozy! Beautiful big stone gas fireplace, but manager did say other cabins had wood burning ones. Definitely would stay again!
Rented this place through Air bnb. Amazingly located right off the main road and walking distance to the Alpine Coaster and a few food spots and stores. We arrived early Saturday morning and got to check in early. Our cabin was great, had its own fireplace and jacuzzi tub, as well as a shower in the bathroom. Since the cabin is smaller the water heater takes a little bit of time to warm the tub but...
What a hidden gem this place is!!!! The price for what you get is unbeatable. The cottages are very cute and unbelievably cozy and comfortable!! Everything was spotlessly clean and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Absolutely recommended!! The basic cottages do not have microwave nor coffee , so if you need those, need to upgrade.
I love this spot. This is our traditional spot.
Stayed for 4 nights over MLK weekend. Staff was friendly enough and the room was clean and very cozy. Always had a parking spot even after it got crowded sat/sun. Picked the place online, with the big tub and fireplace as selling points. Was disappointed when I arrived and learned I wasnt allowed to use bubble bath in the tub or burn real wood in the fireplace (duraflame only).

Staff was very accommodating to our needs. For a nice stay at an inexpensive place that's located within walking distance of restaurants, night-life, shops; I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend.
Great location. Inside village and everything you need is in walking distance (except for skiing/snowboarding). Staff(Wes) was very friendly and room is very cozy. Our family enjoyed our stay.
What a quaint little find in the middle of Big Bear Village! Vintage props lined the room and we found the accommodations to be very spacious for a family of three with a pooch. It's pretty much like a one bedroom apartment with a nice little kitchen and gas fireplace. The furnishings are a little outdated but it was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for fun in the village and beyond!
Clean, affordable. My family and I loved how location was IN the village. Place is a bit older, but well maintained. Price is all inclusive and you pay upfront with no extra fees or additional deposits. My family enjoyed the amenities that came with the suite. The price includes utensils, cookware, and extra supplies if needed. I really loved how the lodge and village were pet friendly. We only paid...
We had a 2 full size bed room, one of the cheaper and it was definitely NO frills. The beds were not very comfortable at all, no AC for summer, but there was a mini fridge and a little desk. It is a basic motel 6. We needed somewhere to stay and this did the trick. There’s no pet fee, of course. The heaters were out so they provided space heaters for us. I do feel like the price is a little high for the quality of room, but I don’t have any complaints. The staff was really kind and nice too!
Wasn't expecting much but it wasn't as well kept as ai hoped. There was some hair on one of our beds, under the pillow, that didn't belong to my wife or I. The bathroom had a bit of mold growing in it on the ceiling and you could smell it too (you know that subtle but undeniable old gym bag smell).
Photos were after we got comfy, overall pleased with the room. Room was a little small but clean and well maintained. I’m glad the flooring was wood laminate and not carpet. No USB ports, no refrigerator, no iron or ironing board, no hair dryer. Ice machine and vending machine available near office. Reasonable rates. Pleased with our stay. Nice little motel. 👍🏼😎
Stayed with my husband and daughter. We checked in earlier than the check in time of 3pm which was so convenient. The clerk who checked us in was Lisa. She was so friendly and gave great recommendations for what to do around town. We will be back for sure. Our room was clean and nice. Thank Big Bear Motel 6 and thanks again Lisa.
Tired and needing relaxation and sleep we quickly found it at the “Motel 6 Big Bear!” The Manager was just awesome and extremely friendly also refreshingly helpful. the price was fine, but maintenance of the room was not very good. the window had a slide lock that was broken and made it very difficult to open or close. the aluminum track was deeply scratched so this was not a new problem. Also know as Cienaga Creek Ranch. A group of individual cabins for rent. Owned by a wonderful family. Beautiful setting in the trees. Cabins are wonderful. Nice small kitchen and living room. Bedroom in nice size with a jacuzzi tub. Hosts provided us with some pastries fresh eggs. Couldn't be happier and we will absolutely be back.
The whole cabin was beautiful. My family stayed in a two story with plenty of room for recreation. The hot tub was amazing and board games and pool was very fun. Perfect weekend getaway cabin. the only downside is the very top windows on the top story do not shade and the light is very bothersome, somehow it always got in our way and in our eyes.

We had a great time. We stayed in the Farm house. Very clean and has everything we needed. Staff very friendly. One thing they could do, is upgrade their mattress. We will go again.
Had a little trouble checking in. Would be helpful if there was in person office contact. Kid in the red shirt was very helpful and made sure we enjoyed every part of the stay. Great little cabin. Well equiped with kitchen cooking facilities and a good amount of space. Easy access to the village centre . Highly recommend . Pull out sofa bed is suitable for kids/young teens but wouldn’t recommend the pull out for adults .
Great cabins and host. Would recommend to all I know

The decor was very personalized and homey, and was stocked with anything we could need. It was a perfect retreat for two people. Jennie is such a great host and was very helpful and responsive. Great location, so close to Woodland trail, Boulder Bay park and Castle Rock trail. And the Village is in walking distance but it’s so quiet here in the cabins! The Cabin is very clean and they use brand shampoo, dishwash and hand wash. We had a perfect getaway with the kids enjoying their s’mores. Love the peaceful night here and the hospitality from the host manager David!
