I was seriously not excited about staying in a best western but the Big Bear Château is a very charming vintage hotel. The staff is excellent. Cozy beds, warm fire place in my room. We had dinner at the restaurant and it’s very convenient and tasty. The breakfast included in your stay is very convenient. Another added extra is the trail behind the hotel. We played in the snow and enjoyed our time.

We had a pleasant stay at The Lodge Holiday Inn over a weeknight in Big Bear. Fantastic facility with cozy and clean rooms, staff is helpful and kind. It is a basic motel 6. We needed somewhere to stay and this did the trick. There’s no pet fee, of course. The heaters were out so they provided space heaters for us. I do feel like the price is a little high for the quality of room, but I don’t have any complaints. The staff was really kind and nice too!

Wasn't expecting much but it wasn't as well kept as ai hoped. There was some hair on one of our beds, under the pillow, that didn't belong to my wife or I. The bathroom had a bit of mold growing in it on the ceiling and you could smell it too (you know that subtle but undeniable old gym bag smell).

Stayed with my husband and daughter. We checked in earlier than the check in time of 3pm which was so convenient. The clerk who checked us in was Lisa. If you want to stay in a noisy hotel, this is the is the place for you. When we got here, we could hear the upstairs neighbors, and they were banging on the floor for some reason, and I could hear it most of the night. We stay here every time we visit Big Bear. The rooms are so cozy with fire-places and jet tubs. Everywhere we love to stop at is within walking distance. Also....I added the whole tiny bottle of shower gel to the jet tub which gave us bubbles to the ceiling. Don't do that. Lol

I liked it here! As some of the other reviews have pointed out, the rooms are dated and in need of upgrades. But the service is great, you can't beat the location and I loved the spa tub!

Very nice place to stay at when it’s covered by snow. Not too much cold as I expected, but enough to hold a snowman stand still for a week 😀. Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s romantic and it’s private and it’s a two minute walk to the fun center. It is clean with plenty of clean towels… A kitchenette and a grill. What a hidden gem this place is!!!! The price for what you get is unbeatable. The cottages are very cute and unbelievably cozy and comfortable!! Everything was spotlessly clean and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Absolutely recommended!! The basic cottages do not have microwave nor coffee , so if you need those, need to upgrade.

Stayed for 4 nights over MLK weekend. Staff was friendly enough and the room was clean and very cozy. Always had a parking spot even after it got crowded sat/sun. Picked the place online, with the big tub and fireplace as selling points. Was disappointed when I arrived and learned I wasnt allowed to use bubble bath in the tub or burn real wood in the fireplace (duraflame only).

What a quaint little find in the middle of Big Bear Village! Vintage props lined the room and we found the accommodations to be very spacious for a family of three with a pooch. The room was clean and quiet. However, it was really hot inside and AC wasn't functional. We turned on all the fans but the ventilation was just not enough to cool the room. It’s kind of late when we returned from the local bar so we didn’t bother to ask front desk but definitely check the AC when you first got the room.

Great little place to get away for a few days. Has everything you need, close to the lake, a park, a ski-musment park, and restaraunts. Great, personal staff that are very accommodating.

Stayed here for a romantic getaway and enjoyed the cabin. We built fires, relaxed, and enjoyed the quietness. They had great internet connections and satellite TV. Will stay there again in the future.

We had a great time. We stayed in the Farm house. Very clean and has everything we needed. Staff very friendly. One thing they could do, is upgrade their mattress. We will go again.

Had a little trouble checking in. Would be helpful if there was in person office contact. Kid in the red shirt was very helpful and made sure we enjoyed every part of the stay. Also helped with the nearby food places. Surprised he is hired for his age but he is very helpful. Also a short walk to the nearby park which was amazing, and we went rock climbing in boulder bay

Pretty cheap little cabins with the bare basics. Beds are pretty uncomfortable and the cabins are musky. Not all rooms have hot tubs (#5 doesn’t).

This property is right on the water. The facilities are great. Our room was clean and the staff was quite helpful. They are renovating the property at the end of March 2020. It does need an update but all in all a stay hotel. Right across the street from downtown Big Bear.

Tastefully designed with modernity & warmth. Pool & hot tub look lovely but were closed during our stay (December 2022). There is even a lovely little slope that was perfect for sledding. We had a wonderful stay at Marina Riviera. This property is a true gem, with incredible attention to detail in terms of the architecture, decor, snacks, and even scent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal for accessing both the town and the slopes. We can’t wait to come back soon!

The rooms where clean spacious and right in front of the lake,customers service ok,in the lobby they had coffee, tea ,cocoa hot water and cookies that was nice . For one or two days is fine and close to the big bear village.
