Holiday Inn Express Boca Raton - West, an IHG Hotel

So I never write reviews usually but I’ve felt particularly inclined to leave this here to hopefully save the next person from making the mistake of booking here. I’ll keep it brief…it’s absolutely unacceptable to have roaches at a hotel. My situation was in the bathroom…in the TOILET paper roll. On top of that, this hotel only offers two full-size towels for a king bed, and there is no option to receive extra towels. Couple that with an elevator that barely works and has duct tape holding it together, dirty carpet, and the worst customer service we’ve ever received. One night we came back from dinner and went to check out the pool thinking that our card would let us back in. We were locked outside for 20 minutes and called the hotel to see if someone could let us in and had to resort to pounding on the glass door for someone to hear us to come and let us back in and then was met with the hotel attendant threatening to call the police on my husband and kick us out…and he was also very aggressive and started stepping towards us in a fighting manner, which was quite frankly scary. Everything about this hotel is run down and dirty. When we asked for extra towels, they told us that it’s an outside service and they could not do that for us. Just do yourself a favor and don’t book here. It’s not priced much differently than hotels surrounding and there are MUCH better options for the same price!!

TV didn’t work on arrival, was fixed promptly but shouldn’t happen. Taking a shower in the morning the body wash was empty (again, easy to check) and getting out of the shower there were no full sized towels (seriously!). The AC is loud. The room was fairly clean but I noticed in the room and throughout the property lots of, I guess I’d say dirt. Like crumbs everywhere. The facility is dated and needs a full makeover. Not what I’ve experienced at other express locations.

I’ve been staying in Holiday Inn’s for a month across Florida and Tennessee. I get to this one and my credit card gets declined. I try another card and it was also declined. I called my bank and everything was fine with my cards. Instead of the hotel trying to help me figure it out they insisted that it was my problem not theirs. I had to leave and find a new hotel. It’s crazy how the same credit card worked at the other Holiday inn hotel on the other side of town. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Instead of helping the customer they blame them and send them away. I would never waste time with this hotel.

IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE 0/5 I WOULD!!!! Rachel the front desk manager was super helpful and generous, although, the problems at this hotel is beyond her. My towels were washed of course but DIRTY REUSED towel with stains all over, it was so bad to the point my boyfriend and I had to use the same towel which was the most clean-looking. The room SMELLED HORRIBLE, like cigarettes and mold. The carpet leading up to the rooms were stained and dirty which made the hallways smell soooo bad!!! The wall unit AC is dusty and smells. I had to strip one of the sheets off of my bed because it was so stained. Pillowcases had hair all over them. Would not recommend anyone who like a nice clean environment to this place. 0/5 0/5 0/5!!! The front desk is renovated but dont let that mislead you, the room are super old and disgusting.
