Congress Hall

I absolutely love this hotel. It's the oldest seaside resort in America. It's absolutely charming. It has a restaurant, The Blue Pig, with excellent food. There's also a coffee shop with bakery goods and sundries, along with a couple of small gift/clothing/souvenir shops.
I asked for a quiet room on our 3rd visit, and the request was not honored. Also, we were shut out of the fabulous Thanksgiving buffet, and I firmly believe there should be a spot available for everyone staying at the resort over the holidays.
The decorations are amazing, the lobby is welcoming, with a fireplace and cozy seating. Two bars and a beautifully decorated yard round out the experience.

There is no better spot than Congress Hall in Cape May. You are in the middle of the action so you can valet your car for the weekend and walk to shops & restaurants, not to mention the beach! That's if you even want to leave. Between the Brown Room and the Veranda, there is always something going on. The food and service at the Blue Pig are always top notch. It's the perfect home base for exploring all that Cape May has to offer in any season!

Such a beautiful Hotel! It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The bar was so cozy with a beautiful vibe and gorgeous fireplace. Going to make this a holiday tradition. The rooms were clean and quaint. Loved that they had outdoor seating with heaters in the winter. Great outdoor concessions for holiday shopping. Loved the churro and hot chocolate bar. Everything was just beautiful!

Not only is this hotel steeped in history and the tradition of the east coast's first seaside resort town, they know hospitality!
The hotel is located perfectly near the ocean with views galore! Our room provided the unique opportunity to see BOTH sunset and sunrise through the same window!
Fireside couches, a cozy upscale bar setting and dining/shopping options on site make for a complete vacation experience. We will return!

The hotel has everything. It is quaint with a wonderful history. It is central to Cape May shopping, restaurants and the beach (tags included) all within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable with nice furniture, good bedding and a well stocked bathroom with plenty of amenities including bath robes and an umbrella. The internet service was stable and secure. The television worked with plenty of channels. The a/c was comfortable. The parking lot had plenty of spaces for the guests without additional charges and a valet service was available if you preferred it.. There were good restaurants on site. There was an inside and outside bar. There were shops available on the first floor to buy clothing and other items. There was a nice coffee shop on the first floor that had sandwiches, baked goods, snacks and news papers. The grounds had a very spacious lawn with plenty of tables and chairs to sit and relax in while enjoying the view of the Atlantic Ocean and beaches across the street.

A wonderful place. Everyone is treated with respect here and this then brings a warm and friendly atmosphere that's unmatched! Call it southern hospitality if you will. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are always fabulous at the blue pig restaurant. Top off the night listening and dancing at the boiler room.
