Reception very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. On a main drag in downtown, so there is the street-noise issue. (They provide ear plugs free of charge) There is a Skywalk access to parking garage across the street with elevator service. Avoid traffic and weather. Nice hotel in the Cedar Rapids area close to the highway and a lot of restaurants. There’s a Perkin’s right across the lot within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Only knock on this place is there is a loud knocking sound within their HVAC system. It’s almost like a pounding at times. It bothered me at first, but I got used to it and it did not affect my sleep.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very close to I-380 and close to the places we wanted to go to in the area. Fitness area had equipment that was in good shape. Hot tub was not working during our stay. We would stay there again.

Nice hotel. We had the suite which was 2 rooms with 2 queen beds, couch desk, 2 tvs, microwave and fridge. The towels were fluffy and the beds were comfortable. This hotel is very quiet! The staffing is very accommodating and super friendly. Every area is incredibly clean. I travel to Cedar Rapids every year and this will be where I stay from now on. Came for a birthday pool party. Apparently, the hotel was aware there were going to be a bunch of girls swimming ahead of time. The rooms were very large and had great accommodations. The entire are was clean. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was that there were only 3 dry towels in the pool area and 10 wet children.

This is my go to hotel in Cedar Rapids. I travel for work and appreciate the staff, and the fact that they make sure I have a room. The breakfast isn't the greatest, but a hotel doesn't have to feed you. Overall it's clean and I appreciate that they remember me. I've been told that the pool will be open this week.

The staff at Hometown are like family. They watched over me when I mentioned that questionable men had checked in. They ended up kicking them out due to bad behavior. One man was taken to jail. Such a gorgeous location! We brought our service dog with no issues at all. It was a wonderful stay. We had a whirlpool suite, which was absolutely lovely. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was huge! It was very much worth our time. The staff were so kind and treated us well. Definitely will come back if we're in town!

We were a bit disappointed this time. We stayed there about 3 weeks ago and used the park and fly and everything worked great. I guess they have changed it now, because they said it would be extra if we wanted to use park and fly. The front desk people weren't very apologetic. This is probably the 4th time staying at this location with our dogs. Rooms are nice and spacious as usual. This time, however, we stayed when the weather was in the single digits or below zero, and there was cold air coming from the window area. Overall, though, the value was quite good.

Our family of six just stayed here for a week due to some home renovations. The staff was very friendly. The two bedroom suite was spacious with a nicely equipped kitchen. The room was cleaned well each day. Morning breakfast is nicely done and higher quality than most. The staff maintaining the eating area kept it very clean all week. Some staff were nice. Rooms were decently clean. Price is fair but not great. You do get what you pay for.

The staff is friendly. The beds are comfortable. The wifi is good enough to stream live video without interruption. The rooms are always very clean. The price is right. The manager and her staff take your comfort and rest extremely seriously. I'm not sure what else you can expect from a hotel. Stay there.

This is very much not a luxury stay, it's more of a "just need a bed to sleep in". The location is good for Marion and even Cedar Rapids. Wifi is good. Breakfast is included, but very limited. Staff is friendly. Sufficient parking in free lot.

The room was extremely clean though extremely small. The majority of the rooms are 240 sq.ft. except for the doubles. If I ever came back I'd just book a two bed room just for the space. The room was good. Nothing wrong with the bathroom, TV, or beds. I would prefer a softer bed & pillow but that's a personal preference. Other than that, our stay was great. Good location easy to get to. Friendly and helpful staff. A great place and a great price.

The price is great. Staff friendly. Missed having coffeemaker in room. Chain had been busted off the door and not repaired. Breakfast could have been better.

I love this chain and have never once suffered a displeasure or negative experience in any way. The staff, the atmosphere, maybe the layout perhaps contributes, but I swear they seem much less bothered, more experienced, easygoing, professional, something..I can't quite explain it but the people that run them are just better then most. They make it seem like being super friendly and expediting everything...

The rooms were clean, towels were soft, but the bed was awful. The heater sounded like it was going to fall off the wall it was so loud. Breakfast for the kiddos was great, but there was no option for someone who can't have sugar. The location is a building away from the interstate and a set of active railroad tracks.

We stayed for 7 days during Thanksgiving. It's right off the I-380. Check In was fast and staff was friendly. Room was clean and inviting. Breakfast was subpar. There wasn't even cereal or milk. Very little selection. Coffee in the room was gross. But overall it was a nice stay.

We stayed here to be close to the hospital for my daughter's surgery. The location was great, as it was only a six minutes drive to the hospital and would be a convenient location for various other destinations. The employees at the service desk were kind and helpful and checking in and out was quick. There were plenty of options for breakfast in the morning and the room we stayed in was very nice...
