DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cedar Rapids Convention Complex, Cedar Rapids1 / 22High rating

Fast and friendly service, it was overpriced but there was a high-profile event next door in the arena, so I’m sure that contributed to the price. Always love the cookie at check in and the rooms were clean and quiet for the most part. We were on the 14th floor so street noise wasn’t a problem for us, but the rail line is a block from the hotel, the train went through at 4 am and woke up my girlfriend...
Tiffany, Mandie, and DeAndre deserve a raise in compensation and promotion. They made our stay so much better. Thank you. The hotel is conveniently located next to the concert hall. The bathrooms in the rooms are very outdated and can use a deep remodel. The tub lost its non slip and feels like sand coming off. It looks stuck in the 80s. The room price is inflated due to events nearby. The installations...
I love a Double Tree. I've been to this one before, but they changed it since last I was there. You could only access your floor with your key card... Which normally, would be fine, but we needed to get to Grandma on a different floor (multiple times) and it made the experience very annoying. Seems like an interesting choice for the hotel attached to the conference center. Cedar Rapids is also an...
Reception very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. On a main drag in downtown, so there is the street-noise issue. (They provide ear plugs free of charge) There is a Skywalk access to parking garage across the street with elevator service. Avoid traffic and weather. As with downtown hotels, restaurant is essential. The food and service were wonderful.
We had a pleasant stay overall, but for a 5 star rating and the price, I would expect a lot more. The train was the most obnoxious part - we had the farthest room from the tracks, but there's no way to sleep through that when it keeps blaring for 5-10 minutes at 3am. Happened both nights we were there. A handheld shower sprayer would have been nice, as would a jacuzzi by the pool - which was fairly...
We were hit with a stomach bug so the day we were supposed to arrive we have to cancel. They waived the full charge. Great customer service ❤️

My hotel stay here was excellent! The room was very clean and had so many good amenities. It was nice, warm, and relaxing especially during a blizzard when my heat went out in my apartment. The staff was so nice and understanding and even let me bring my pet so she wouldn’t freeze in my apartment!
Hotel front desk staff was amazing! They were having some computer difficulties which made a couple items difficult but overall not too terrible. My biggest complaint was the shower. There was pink mildew spots in both corners and in a low spot of the tub base.
Breakfast was awesome, workers were very nice, room was great. Price was great too. Good location with lots to do/eat around. Was sad that the pool was too cold for me to take my niece swimming in, that was the part of our trip she was looking forward to most.
This was a great Holiday Inn Express experience! The girl at the front desk was friendly, the rooms were newly remodeled and clean, comfy beds and pillows, AC was cold, good water pressure for the shower, and the room itself is much larger than a typical newly built Holiday Inn Express, as you can tell this was an older building, back when the rooms were designed with lots of square footage. But again...
Great place overall. Love the room set-ups. Although we should work better on customer service. The front desk lady was too busy flirting with guys by the swimming pool while we waited to get checked in for five minutes.
I’ll start with the good: SUPER friendly staff, clean rooms, reasonable price. Not so good uncles: poorly sound insulated in all ways. In room 211 I could literally hear one of the neighbors pressing the buttons on a microwave. I heard every toilet flush, every hallway conversation, etc. I am an early riser, and in the morning did not feel comfortable turning on the TV as a courtesy to the other...

Was a nice hotel. Rooms were large. Pool was small, but didn't really have time to use it anyway. Staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast had a good selection.
We had a very good stay. The pillows were awesome! Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from. Close to several places to eat. Shopping mall very close. The staff was VERY friendly and liked to joke. Little hard to see, but very easy to get to. Thank you for a nice place to stay.
Very nice place to stay. We rented a suite for a very cheap price! Very clean and very well managed! One of the best place to stay in town!
Probably one of the best hotel stays in a long time. Staff superb and helpful every way. We will definitely stay here when traveling in the future. Also close to shopping and fine dining opportunities.
WOW WOW WOW are you looking for a discount hotel with a 5 * rating .. this is it . I will always stay here when in cedar rapids so long as it's managed as it is now . Rooms super clean, staff were incredibly nice , my only wish is that we had more time to stay another night! Both the front desk clerk and the manager ( maybe franchisee) were friendly and accommodating... Red Roof TOWNHOUSE in grand...
Harry was awesome. Always gave a friendly face and fun and playful jokes as I came through the lobby. Room was clean and what I expected at the price point. Fair price and exception accommodations.

The room smelled funny and the blankets were not warm. Bummer there is no breakfast served. Other than that it was a place to stay and relatively cheap.
Bed was very comfy. Got in around 1am and house keeping was knocking on the door before 10am, didn't like that. Plus the shower curtain had mold all over it and the wall was coming apart. The staff was very friendly though.
The room was very nice, service was great and the breakfast was amazing as well. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is wonderful. It is a basic no frills place. My #1 priority is cleanliness and this hotel was exceptional. Comfy beds, soft towels, sink outside of shower/toilet room which is so convenient when you want to fix hair and makeup and the other person can still shower, etc. It had a fridge and microwave. Desk folks were friendly. Breakfast is hotel norm - waffles, toast, cereal, pastries, ...
Pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. I have stayed at other budget accommodations, the one's where you don't risk walking on the carpet without shoes or worried about getting bedbugs. However this place is not one of the. I was very surprised with this facility and have stayed here on three separate occasions for work and each time has been good. I have read the negative reviews and cannot...
I arrived on Nov 8th. The computers were acting up and I stood at the desk for 20mins. I read the reviews on line so I did take my own pillow. What disappointed me the most was the sad condition of the lobby. The entrance was very uninviting. The furniture was dark and very worn. Honestly, I was afraid to see my room. My room was clean and had a new shower/tub surround. The fan was very noisy. The...
