Hyatt Place Charlottesville

There were several eateries within walking distance to the hotel. The hotel was close to major highways was well which made it convenient to attend the conference I was in town for. The continental breakfast was also delicious and had a nice variety of food.

It's rated 3 stars but should be higher. While I didn't stay there I met a friend there who was. The room was very nice with lots of space. What is really nice is the amount of restaurants and stores within a few minutes walk. No need to drive around looking for a place to eat.

For a business traveller it largely meets the requirements. Plain, simple, clean. Grand lobby in front, big parking lot in back. Very plain, in fact, even compared to the usual. Everything in place but nothing seems just so. The water was warm, but not hot, the AC sounds a bit like a jet engine, the furniture just seems spare without being sophisticated. The staff are very nice, the neighborhood that's going up around it is dominated by slightly fancy outlet stores and matching restaurants. LL Bean, Brooks Brothers, Vineyard Vines, Trader Joe's. Feels safe, up-to-date, without having character; and it doesn't extend very far. The restaurants look serviceable for travel.

We always love our stay here when we are in town. The Hyatt Place is impeccably clean, quiet, comfortable rooms with separate seating areas (makes them feel very homey), and the staff are all wonderful! We will continue to stay here on our visits!

Our stay was awesome. The rooms were in great condition and very clean! Everyday they came in a straighten the room, cleaned and made the beds which is so nice and has seemed to disappear since COVID. Also the continental breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel. Fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, bagels, fresh eggs and bacon. The location is excellent too. There is a nice shopping area and restaurants across the street that you can walk to. It’s easy to get downtown and to UVA. I would definitely stay here again. Could not have been more pleased.

Their breakfast was great. The rooms and hotel are clean with nice decor. The rooms themselves are not unique but at least comfortable. The pool was warm in the winter. Good value overall and would stay here again.

Best Hotel in Charlottesville hands down. Clean rooms, fast and friendly room service, and less than a mile from the UVA campus. Free breakfast was delicious and the pool is well kept. I wouldn't stay anywhere else while visiting Charlottesville
