The second shift individual working on the evening of Tuesday, Feb 14 was so very personable and delightful that I thought I had won some sort of reward until I noticed she treated everyone with the same respect and courtesy. I believe her name was Alicia. She should be rewarded. Thanks for making my stay very pleasant.
It's a really nice hotel, very beautiful building and spacious. The front desk young lady was very attentive and cordial. The room and the whole hotel in general was very clean. I had dinner and had the salmon with coleslaw, it was very tasty, the server was great. The Only one observation we had, the back of the hotel has a big space (I've seen pictures and they hold weddings and events there) so...
I stayed in this hotel for three nights in separate rooms, due to changes in my plans. Each room was clean with very comfortable beds/pillows. I will admit that the bathrooms are a bit small for a 3 star hotel, which would be difficult for more than one person, or someone with mobility challenges. I did enjoy the bar cocktails and food, which were priced as expected for a hotel property, but still...
I've returned for my company's annual conference. There are a few hundred of us and the hotel takes care of us wonderfully! My room is clean, housekeeping does a great job! The staff are friendly and professional. My only complaint is that one elevator is out of service! I feel like this happened 2 years ago but could be thinking of another hotel. Huge inconvenience! Free cookies are warm and delicious...
Overall, great hotel experience, but there were several details lacking, such as the lack of mini fridge in the some of the rooms, no k cups for coffee in the rooms, and an exercise bike that broke down on me. BUT the breakfast was literally the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, and I've been to plenty of hotels. Fresh and delicious, and the omelette bar was incredible.
A wonderful place to stay while visiting the area! Great rooms with comfy accomplishments. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of variety. Definitely on my favorites list!

Breakfast was a good buffet, pretty outdoor patio, good service. Facilities were well maintained and pretty. Peaceful setting but still close drive to everything.
Our pros: The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas, The rooms were clean & comfy. The food was great in the Mill Room. The staff were all very personable & helpful. It was a great mini vacation for us to celebrate our 1st anniversary!
Our cons: We did not feel like the Winter Wander was worth the cost. We are from a large city & can see better lights driving around town. There...
Very friendly and helpful staff! Beautiful property! The Winter Wander was fun but there was a long line to get through the light tunnel which wasn’t fun especially in the cold. I didn’t get to stay long enough to try out any of their other activities but wish I could have.
Tonie at the front desk got us started out right! She was very welcoming, thorough, and thoughtful about our one night stay. Thanks Tonie! We were so lucky to visit while the light show around the lake was in full glory and decorations were up and so festive. The weather cooperated but I love the various fire pits that families can enjoy as well a couple of large ones to gather round. Ate in the...
They were booked for our anniversary visit, but we made it to The Mill Room for the fantastic Saturday brunch. Amanda, the hostess is friendly and more than helpful. She answers questions and is fun to talk to.
Now, Donna, our server was wonderful.
She was friendly and attentive.
A very beautiful location with many nice trails to walk and peaceful views. Management really needs to step it up. I was quoted a rate at the time of my reservation and upon checking in the 2 night stay was $100 higher than quoted. It took 3 stops to the front desk and a screen shot of the rate on their own web site plus 3 emails to finally rectify the problem. I never did receive a final email showing...

University of Virginia Inn at Darden
Charlottesville, 10 Duffy Boulevard. 🧭 Map
Elegant and historic but make sure you are ready for smaller rooms. If historic houses are your thing, you should be quite a home. The common areas are updated and beautiful and the staff is attentive and warm.
Very nice stay. It’s right on campus. Be prepared to walk. It’s a nice walk, though. Beautiful architecture and history all around. Highly recommend staying if you are doing anything campus related because it is so close to almost all the facilities. It’s an old Inn, so you could hear noise out in the hallway, but it wasn’t racket. Breakfast bar was great. Tons to choose from. You do have to walk,...
I was visiting family at the UVA hospital and needed a room quickly. I google searched and found a great rate with this location. It was raining that night, and I drove right past the office to check in. The first building on the right is the gate house and that is where you check in.
The gentleman who checked me in was extremely nice. He was very helpful in showing me where to park and the location...
Beautiful clean room. Very well priced. Great, friendly service. Super breakfast with many healthy (and not so healthy choices).
Convenient, family friendly UVA on campus location. Free parking. It was spectacular on Easter with the pink trees and yellow and purple flowers on immaculate landscaped grounds.
Only negative is that distances to parling and food may be difficult for those with mobility...
On our recent trip here we had a nightmare with a rude manager. We woke up just before midnight to a running toilet only to find the toilet pipe held together with a hair clip. We tried to turn the water off and it began to leak on the floor. When we called the front desk we were told we needed to change rooms. The manager, Karen, asked us what do we expect and offered a 15% discount before she hung...
The Inn at Darden is a beautiful, clean, and safe hotel to stay at. Also, the breakfast was amazing! It was no continental breakfast loaded with cheap carbs and sugar; no, the breakfast consisted of healthy and hearty options. I can't believe rooms are as affordable as they are! I participated in a week long training program at the law school. Part of my package deal included room and board and...

Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello, an IHG Hotel
Charlottesville, 1200 5th Street SW 🧭 Map
The front desk man, Sam, who checked us in was very personal wanting to make sure that everything was in order. Breakfast the next morning was served by a smiling kitchen worker. Always nice to be around a cheerful hotel staff. We also enjoyed the clean outdoor pool surrounded by trees.
The front desk staff is friendly, and efficient. Check-in was easy, and went to the room. Room was clean and airy as I entered. Ample lighting illuminated the room. Pillows were soft and scrumptious. Standard fare in restaurant, served quickly. Overall, a good property for the value.
Room was OK, not spacious. Good mattress, terribly soft pillows. Included keurig-like coffee machine and powdered sugar and creamer. Small fridge under TV but no way to lower temp in it. Best part was the very friendly and amenable staff. From housekeeper to reception to bartender, all very pleasant as could be.
I did an over night stay here. They let me know ahead of time that they will be doing maintenance on their elevators and it could be noisy. They offered ear plugs and offered to let me move to a different room if I needed it, but I wasn't bothered by it at all. The staff was very friendly and the room clean and maintained.

Great staff, particularly Matthew and Patrick. Hotel has a great rooftop.
However, rooms are tired and could do with thicker doors and walls (for better soundproofing). The third floor is also in front of the parking lot and some of my family reported having headlights flash into their room into the early hours.
The property needs investment to match the calibre of care provided by the staff and...
We also comb out the cheapest air tickets for our customers flying from their respective source to Delhi (DEL) destination.
Very nice hotel. Bar service could have been better. Location is fabulous and rooms are well-appointed.
The Graduate is conveniently located near UVA, many restaurants, shops, and bars. Parking is valet only. Superficially, the hotel looks great, but as you exit the lobby you quickly notice its age and lack of upkeep. Older looking carpet and damage to the walls and doors give it an unkempt air. However, my room was clean and comfortable. It was equipped with a safe and mini fridge, but no hair dryer...
We were there for a reunion dinner. The bar tender was great but overworked since there was only one for the entire crowd. The meal was fine. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Nice staff.
Very cozy hotel. Staff seemed a bit in a hurry a lot of the time but other than that they were very nice. The restaurant upstairs was awesome. Literally the best wings. They have a neat game room too, cozy reading tables. I'd love to spend time reading there. Definitely recommend.

This hotel is quite nice and worth a stay however, during our stay there was some cleanliness issues with our room. The dishes in our dishwasher of the kitchenette we're not stowed away and rather left in the dishwasher. The ice holder was dirty, and there was some kind of orangish crusty stain on the underside of our comforter when I turned the bed down to go to sleep. There's a high probability...
We happened to wind up here after a reservation difficulty occurred at the Hampton Inn next door. I reserved a handicap accessible room and they didn’t have one available. This hotel was able to accommodate that.
The accommodations in the room are great for mobility challenged people. The shower is a roll in shower, the toilet is higher, there is a lot of room in the bathroom, and the bed in the room...
Spacious, clean room. Friendly, helpful staff. Eric at the front desk greeted us with a friendly smile & a joke🤣 & later went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.
I enjoyed my stay. The purpose of my trip was medical treatment. The room was spacious and ideal for resting after treatment. Breakfast was pretty good with hot and cold items. I selected this hotel because it was a quick drive from UVA and close the a variety of restaurants. Eric, the hotel reception, repeatedly checked on me throughout your stay. One night, I was feeling so exhausted and just bad...
Room was clean and well taken care of. The inside of the building was very well decorated as well. Loved the atmosphere.
This is a great place to host a meeting. The conference room is right off the lobby cafe, but very quiet when you close the doors. Great coffee service in the room, lighting that's easy on the eyes, lots of parking. I hope more of my meeting is happen here!

We had a great time! Gorgeous hotel. The location is priceless - literally beside the downtown mall, which worked well for us as we were going to a concert at the Paramount theater. We were able to walk around until late and enjoy the area. The service was good too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was the loud music around the bar area until midnight.
Thank you all so much for such a beautiful experience at the Omni! From the hotel shuttle to the rooms, everything was perfect. The aesthetics were beautiful! I really enjoyed the personal touches like the robe in my room. The Tangerine body was smelled really good also. I took a quick moment to check out the exercise facilities and I was blown away! A hot tub, pool, elite workout equipment, and sauna...
They're just finishing remodeling and the rooms are very nice. The whole inside area is beautiful, our room overlooked the atrium which had a fountain, so the experience was really unique. We loved being right next to downtown Charlottesville as well.
Booked for a couple of nights around Labor Day. There was still construction going on, but we barely heard any of it in our rooms. Aside from the lobby, the hotel was very quiet. The website did not disclose that the hotel was undergoing renovations, but I assumed something like that was going on due to the very low rates ( I paid around $165/night).
The only cons were a couple of outlets in my room...
Great location. Service was good.
At the time of writing this it is still under renovation. Many rooms were actively undergoing construction and the dining area was limited.
If you plan on being in your room during the day I would not recommend until construction is complete as there was a lot of noise until 5 pm.

This is a nice, clean hotel, the staff are friendly & professional. The breakfast was good& the area was consistently kept clean& stocked up.
The place is clean and has the standard Hilton setup which is always a good thing. Rooms are very tight spaced. No room to kick your legs even. This staff seem welcoming to most but not understanding of everbody. 4 stars simply because it's a Hilton. I won't stay here again.
Although this Hampton has yet to receive an entire overhaul of the rooms, it is very clean, and above all the entire staff is commendable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as always...there are Hamptons that do not live the Hilton values and would suggest they come to Charlottesville at this location to learn a thing or two about the Hilton experience.
Cathy Cooper, manager:,
You have an absolutely wonderful staff! Everyone that we have interacted with has been pleasant, engaging and helpful.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn because our daughter had a medical emergency. Each staff member was beyond kind and caring. All areas were clean and well maintained. And the pool was lovely. We stayed for two weeks until our daughter was released from the hospital.

The team behind the desk…Eric, Jeff and of course the beautiful lady with gorgeous skin solved my problem. The English Inn of Charlottesville

We were visiting friends down in Charlottesville and needed a place for our family of four to stay; when I was booking I was looking for two things - a place with an indoor pool for my kids to blow off some steam after traveling all day, and somewhere with breakfast included to make it easy in the morning. I'm so glad I stumbled upon the English Inn of Charlottesville! We'll be making this our place...
This hotel is a gem. It's beautiful, clean, and quiet. It's close to UVA medical buildings and easy to get in and out of with a red light exit. The people were very kind. The pool was warm and clean. We will be staying again anytime we are in town for appointments.
I was visiting a relative in the hospital and needed something close. The English Inn is 2.2 miles from the hospital. The rates were very competitive. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was super clean & the breakfast had many different options. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the Charlottesville area.
Excellent hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms beds firm but pillows and covers are very soft and confortable.
Shower has excellent pressure.
Room by the lobby was very quiet.
Food hot , taste and very clean.
We were going to stay 1 night ended up 3 nights.
Would come here again.
Parking well lighted and easy to excess from your room.
Very impressed with how clean English Inn was. They offer you coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day. Cookies are a great afternoon snack. Pool was clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Will be booking with them on our next visit.
it’s a lovely Inn. they have a nice fireplace in the lobby and the rooms are very comfortable! the breakfast is yummy too. we travelled with our dog and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. if I go back to Charlottesville, I will definitely stay there again!
Breakfast is good. I am a vegetarian and found many good choices. Enjoyed the peanut butter cookies at 4 pm.
Breakfast was delicious! Honestly the dining hall felt like a five star restaurant with a sweet lady overseeing everything was kept in order and a gentleman dressed in restaurant attire ensured everything was wiped off and finger pointless! soft classical music filled the morning breakfast as we ate. Three nights in Sept 2022.
Good: Location. Walking distance to campus, hospitals, restaurants, bars. The neighborhood is crowded with college students, which might be good or bad, depending on your outlook.
Bed: comfortable, except for the wimpy pillows. I brought my own, slept well.
Not good: Price. $435 for three nights, including tax, city tax, $10 per night parking fee (which I didn't expect!)...

The rooms are large, bright, well-equipped, and clean. On this visit every staff member I spoke with was courteous and helpful. On previous visits we have eaten breakfast there and it has always been good.
Yes, it is a little expensive, but it has been reliably a good place to stay.
The property the hotel sits on is beautiful, but we didn't enjoy the stay or the area as much as we would have hoped. We upgraded to a suite to get a little extra space. The room was okay, but had inconveniences we wouldn't have expected for a Hilton Garden Inn, especially at the cost of a suite.

We've stayed at many Hilton's. This particular Hilton is one of the nicest. Don't be deceived by the lack-luster front. The inside is beautiful, clean and spacious. Clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. Conveniently located. Nice breakfast options. Staff were nice but would have really inappropriate conversations where they could be heard. Made me uncomfortable.
Very nice hotel approx 1 km walk from the University of Virginia, a couple of hundred meters walk from the Amtrak train station and a short drive to Monticello. My friend and I really appreciated the free shuttle bus service which remarkably could be organized to take us places and pick us up at short notice. We felt most fortunate. Rooms was very clean. Nice lobby area as well. Restaurant was closed when we arrived so I didn't experience that.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. However, the front desk customer service employees made check in time consuming and rude. To the point that caused a complaint to corporate. We were very disappointed that this had to happen. Other then that we had a nice visit.

When we walked in, the hallway smelled a bit smoky, so I was.worried, but when we got to the room, everything was perfect. It was all clean, no smoke smell, nice big TV. Heater kept the room warm. Water pressure in the shower left a little to...
Quaint little hotel right off the highway. Stayed there after the drive back home from out of state wasn't gonna be possible. They are currently undergoing some renovations so it wasnt at its best but looks like things are going smoothly. Main carpeting in the halls were pulled up but the rooms on the floor we stayed at were all done and looked nice. The lobby is small and hosts a small little bar...
I made my reservation about a week in advance cause I knew driving home after a concert was not going to be an option. I arrived at the hotel right at 4 o'clock and was informed the room I had reserved was not available. I was given a room on the second floor that reaked of marijuana, the whole floor not just the room. I have stayed in the hotel many times for over 15 years, long before marijuana...
Cheap room. nice staff. Couple burn holes in the blanket and on the bathtub but it is a smoking room. For this price its really nice and convenient.
Yesterday I had an excellent experience working with one of the managers, Jennifer. We had an unusual situation come up that required some extra time and care to unravel, and Jennifer went above and beyond, staying on the phone with me while we got everything sorted out. In my experience, the management at this establishment takes the time to work with individuals and meet their needs. If you're reading...
Make sure you get more towels at the desk when you check in because they only give you two bath towels if you don't ask foe more at check in. I guess the owners of this "fine" establishment count the towels. What a cheap ass!

This hotel is a must stay. The staff is friendly and competent and the rooms are clean. Our company has stayed there for over 4 months working on a project and the staff makes every effort to accommodate our employees. Last minute adjustments to rooms has never been an issue. I especially give extra stars to Emily who is proactive on any upcoming issues or needs that she sees. Thank you!
I was skeptical at first when we booked this location but was absolutely thrilled. The hotel is clean, well renovated, and quiet. The lady working the desk really made the visit; she was kind and you got the impression she cared. I'd definitely go back. As a bonus the free breakfast was actually decent (waffles, hot eggs, yogurt etc) and is a cost savings versus going out.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was very welcoming, pleasant, and professional - great customer service! This location is a little difficult to get into and out of, turning left into the parking lot requires crossing several lanes of traffic on a fairly busy street. Our room was not bad at all! Beds are comfortable, and the room felt clean.
Always a pleasure to stay at LaQuinta Inn & Suites. Professional, friendly staff. Always clean and ready to provide the best service to their guests. I always look for them where ever I travel with my dogs or without.
Great hotel with so friendly staff such as Yazzni the manager. Jenni, James and Bledwill. Due to some fire issues in our apt we stayed there for couple weeks we really enjoyed the stay in La Quinta Inn.
We really appreciate their caring for us as we were the fire victims and we got some discounts too!
La Quinta is the best!
(Not to Compare to other hotels in very neighboring area we got laugh at...
