We had a great time! Gorgeous hotel. The location is priceless - literally beside the downtown mall, which worked well for us as we were going to a concert at the Paramount theater. We were able to walk around until late and enjoy the area. The service was good too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was the loud music around the bar area until midnight.

Thank you all so much for such a beautiful experience at the Omni! From the hotel shuttle to the rooms, everything was perfect. The aesthetics were beautiful! I really enjoyed the personal touches like the robe in my room. The Tangerine body was smelled really good also. I took a quick moment to check out the exercise facilities and I was blown away! A hot tub, pool, elite workout equipment, and sauna… what more could you ask for? Even though this was a lean over for me I was amazed. I am looking forward to coming back to stay longer. The front desk receptionist welcomed us with a warm smile and she was so kind. The entire hotel was clean. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience. -Camelia

They're just finishing remodeling and the rooms are very nice. The whole inside area is beautiful, our room overlooked the atrium which had a fountain, so the experience was really unique. We loved being right next to downtown Charlottesville as well.

Booked for a couple of nights around Labor Day. There was still construction going on, but we barely heard any of it in our rooms. Aside from the lobby, the hotel was very quiet. The website did not disclose that the hotel was undergoing renovations, but I assumed something like that was going on due to the very low rates ( I paid around $165/night).
The only cons were a couple of outlets in my room weren't working, and the new sliding bathroom doors were a bit fiddly and occasionally needed to be wrestled open or closed.
The new furnishings in the rooms were gorgeous, and the staff was wonderful!

Great location. Service was good.
At the time of writing this it is still under renovation. Many rooms were actively undergoing construction and the dining area was limited.
If you plan on being in your room during the day I would not recommend until construction is complete as there was a lot of noise until 5 pm.
The water level in the toilet is too high. Experienced the witch's kiss. Dipped my hand trying to wipe. Not particularly well endowed and things were touching the water which should not.

The room was super comfortable in temperature and the bed was one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. Staff in the bar and at breakfast where very friendly.

Five stars for the staff. From the front desk to the maintenance crew, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel experience, on the other hand, is a missed opportunity. Prime location, yes but amenities are underwhelming. Beautiful outdoor pool space, completely empty, no vibe, on a nice afternoon. Perfect space to host a nice happy hour with music, drinks, food specials. The restaurant/bar area completely dead. The hotel was a ghost town. How about a concert special rate for those traveling to see a show at Ting Pavilion. Another miss. And finally proof that the Omni has given up, three flags flying above the entrance are in tatters. Especially the Omni flag. Put some money into it and make it a destination!

The housekeeping in this hotel is unacceptable. Upon check- in we were given a key to a room that when we entered had an unflushed (used) toilet in the bathroom.
We were moved to a different room (given breakfast vouchers). Two days later, we were packing to leave. We had a “do not disturb/privacy” sign on the door. We had not checked out, but my my husband left the room to take some luggage to the car while I was still getting dressed. Within minutes of his exit (and while I was still getting dressed), housekeeping keyed our room and entered. They did not knock. It was terrifying. The response from the hotel has been terrible. We have heard nothing from the general manager of the hotel. This is a safety issue. For an “upscale” hotel this property has serious lapses in cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The weekend I stayed it was a little over $700 for a 2 night stay. My expectations may have been high considering the price, but I’ve stayed at Marriott hotels in other cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, and and Orlando within the last year, and the hotels cost $350-500 for 2 night stays. This hotel is essentially an old motel that is more than 2 stories tall. The rooms were dated, TVs from 2005, no cable just bad satellite, a bathroom with about 2 sq foot of space, and felt dreary overall. While the location to the downtown area with some nice food and shopping spots is great, it’s all this motel has going for it. I wouldn’t leave as harsh of a review if the Omni didn’t advertise as a 4 star hotel, it’s a 2 star hotel at best and more similar to motels I’ve stayed in.

Clean up to date room. Well maintained.Very courteous and helpful staff.Pleasurable experience. Only problem was the bed . The sheets and duvet were lovely, fine quality material. The mattress however was very uncomfortable. Perhaps they need replacing. Wyndham hotels have wonderful mattresses and known for their comfort. Another problem was the toilet in the bathroom. It a as so low to the floor that there was difficulty sitting and then standing. In fact the seat was the same level as the tub. However reiterating, the rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff awesome
