Disappointing Experience Due to Non-Functional AC.

I recently stayed at Courtyard By Marriott Cocoa Beach Cape Canaveral and unfortunately, my experience was marred by a significant issue: the air conditioning system was not working throughout my stay. Despite informing the front desk staff about the problem, it remained unresolved.

From the moment I entered my room, I noticed that the air was stale and warm, far from the refreshing coolness one expects from a hotel room. After attempting to adjust the thermostat to no avail, I contacted the front desk to report the issue. The staff assured me that they were aware of the problem and that it would be fixed promptly. However, despite their assurances, the AC remained non-functional for the duration of my stay.

As a result, my comfort and overall experience were greatly compromised. Sleeping in a stuffy room made for restless nights, and returning to a hot room after a day of exploring was not the relaxing experience I had hoped for. Additionally, the lack of proper ventilation made the room feel damp and uncomfortable.

While I understand that technical issues can arise, the disappointing aspect was the lack of effective communication and resolution from the hotel staff. It would have been preferable to be offered a room change or some form of compensation for the inconvenience caused by the faulty AC, but all I got during check out was “I’ll let maintenance people know”

In conclusion, my stay at Courtyard By Marriott Cocoa Beach Cape Canaveral was overshadowed by the discomfort of the non-functional air conditioning system and the inadequate response from the front desk staff. I hope that the hotel takes steps to address this issue to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guests. FYI the room number is 253

We attended a five-day reunion

The good:

Comfortable bed and quiet A/C.

The bad:

Long walk to beach via a neighboring hotel parking lot and past a large condomium complex. Definitely not beachfront.

Advance check-in did not work. Digital room key did not work. They will bug you on your phone to activate them. It said it took but it was not working when we arrived around 4:10 PM. Checkin was at 4:00 PM but the app said we were too early. It did work the next day.

No frills lodging. Very spartan.

Flimsy, scratchy toilet paper. Soap and shampoo are affixed to the back wall of the tub. Bring your readers to read what's in the pump bottles. To me, the tub was a little slippery. Maybe because the soap and shampoo were on the back wall. There was no bath mat.

Maid servive was every other day.

In room coffee consisted of one puck decaf and one puck regular for two days. Plus, two paper cups for two days. You can go down to the desk for more.

No night light. Room lighting was too bright.

Poor, slow, and unstable WiFi. The TV had Netflix. A nice feature if it worked. A "tech" responded and fooled around a bit and gave up. It was eventually fixed on our forth day.
