La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Cocoa Beach-Port Canaveral

We arrived after 12hrs of traveling, the front desk lady was very nice and informative, she describedvv how best to get to our room without walking in the rain, booked our shuttle for the next day, and let us know the bar was open and serving food until 11. We got to our room which wasn’t bad, and decided to just grab food at the bar since we were exhausted and it was a little after 10. Got to the bar looked at the menu then went to order and were told the kitchen is closed, I responded saying the front desk said it was open til 11, the bartender said ya sometimes they decide to stop early, ummm what?!? Nice they can randomly decide they’re closing early even though guests are being told they can get food until 11. We ended up ordering DoorDash from 7-11 then went to bed, after turning off the lights we saw there was an outside light right outside our window blasting light into our room, the curtains aren’t dark enough to block it out. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room had a horrible stench. My wife had an allergic respiratory reaction and couldn't breathe. I had to take her out of the room and was about to call EMS when she slowly got better. She could have died. The air conditioner was thick with dust and fungus. I believe it had never been cleaned. We had paid for two nights and stayed only one. When I reported this incident to the front desk attendant she rudely said: "Your problem, sir."

I would not recommend to picking this hotel except in a pinch. The room was very dirty (cute wildlife though, we like lizards) and didn’t feel safe. The day desk person was not polite, but the night people were okay. The area didn’t feel super safe but it’s possible this feeling was enhanced but the fact that the door didn’t seal well. It is very near a lot of things to do and see.

First couple of days were good until my husband found a bed bug in the ice bucket in our room...no others were found after a thorough search everywhere but we still decided to move rooms... then the new rooms refrigerator didn't work.
The rooms were clean (except the 1 bug found).. the staff was helpful and very nice, except the maintenance man, he was rude.
The pool was great. The location to restaurants, stores & beach is great! The fitness center next door that was included in our stay was awesome! Breakfast was so so.

It's a decent stay if you're on a budget. But always search your room!
