Fountain Beach Resort - Daytona Beach

Not a bad place to stay, Location is solid and has perks and my bed was comfortable. My only issue is they need to work on repairs around the building and make it a little more appealing with some updating. Might consider staying here again in the future when I decide to come back to Daytona if they have a good rate going on.

Location is great. Staff was 10/10. The building is older, but ok. The room left a lot to be desired. Room was damp, cracks in the walls, Door to balcony didn't close and lock properly.. Cheap roadside quality bathroom, shower, etc. Looks to have been finished out by someone who had no idea what they were doing. Ive had better quality rooms for half the cost.

Room was decent. Looks like all the rooms on our floor have different decor and set up. Some nicer than others. Front desk was super nice and accommodating. Tiki bar bartenders are extremely nice. The 3 stars for me was the disappointing free breakfast. You were given bracelets to wear at check-in and told there would be a attendant checking them. So my expectations were set high thinking wow this must be a good breakfast. Only to find that morning around 8 am full of disappointment. They had packaged muffins and danishes some still frozen when bitten into and stale. No warm items. No fruit, no toaster, and out of orange juice. They had few cereal options if you didn’t want a half stale and frozen muffin. There was an attendant with a tip jar. She seemed nice. She Counseled us on how to operate the coffee. And hovered over while we picked our limited items. She stood in the small eating area and legit made us feel so uncomfortable. We were afraid honestly if we threw these poor tasting items away she would have said something to us. But we ended grabbing our items and leaving cause it was so uncomfortable. We ended up going back to room and throwing it all in the trash and headed out to find a better breakfast. I have had better breakfasts at lower star hotels at much cheaper rates.
