AC Hotel by Marriott Des Moines East Village

Had a wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly. Special thanks to Sheila! She was so wonderful, helpful and friendly. She went out of her way to provide us with excellent customer service. She was professional, yet personable and friendly. I really cannot say enough good things about her as the face of the hotel. She made us feel extremely welcomed. She has ensured that I will be a return guest. Thanks again Sheila for the great stay.

This was my first time staying at an AC Hotel by Marriott and it did not disappoint. I was staying here for business so a short trip. Connor at the front desk checked me in and arranged my airport transportation for my departure. He recommended The Republic on Grand for dinner and cocktails my first night. Highly recommend getting the avocado fries to start! The service was very attentive and fast on getting my food out. Later I played some pool with coworkers which I thought was a real neat touch to have in the hotel. The gym I used in the morning and it is very pristine and well done as well. Overall, it was the perfect location for being downtown on a business trip. I will be staying here again on my next trip in.

Great hotel for both business and leisure. Our company partnered with this hotel based on location, accessibility to surrounding event venues and dinner spots. The rooftop restaurant and bar is perfect for networking or a nightcap. Staff was accommodating and attentive to our needs. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Great place to stay! Staff and service were excellent. Seemed to be located in an area with easy access to shops, restaurants, and bars. Had an awesome night visiting the republic rooftop bar which had well made drinks and delicious food. I would recommend this place!

The hotel seems newish and is very modern and clean. A few things we didn't like:
- no carpet in room - cold floor when you get out of bed in the morning
- breakfast is very expensive
- you need a science degree to figure out the shower adjustments! (Luckily my husband and I each have one!)
On the plus side the restaurant is good as long as you're not real hungry.
We would stay here again.

A modern hotel that boasts a beautiful setting. Lovely clean rooms and two nice bars, one located on the ground floor near the lobby and the other in the 6th floor. Located in a great area where it is easy to get to and from the hotel.

AC Hotel is another great iteration of the Marriott brand.

This past weekend, my wife and I were celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary in the East Village, which I mentioned conversationally to the concierge upon check-in. As a way of congratulations, the Marriott employee upgraded us to their penthouse suite throughout our stay. It was thoughtful of him and we sincerely appreciated the gesture. The room was great and we loved our stay.

I'm thankful to Marriott for giving their employees the decision-making authority to create memorable experiences for their customers, like us, even with the little things.
