I am not used to a full concierge service hotel...it was great! The company my husband works for scheduled an employee appreciation meeting hosted at the downtown DesMoines Marriott. The location and staff were top notch and accommodating!

The wife and I delved into our music and we drove aimlessly until we got to the next biggest town from kc. The further north from KCMO we got the closer we got to Des Moines. No other reason to drive other than the nice time with the wife and some good tunes. Once we got to the Marriott we were greeted by many great employees. The shuttle driver was just amazing. We were in town for a wedding and most of the guests and wedding party stayed at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The bar is nice and the rooms are comfortable. Our view was fantastic. I will say that the virtual key option did not work for a few people in our group so we had to wait in line and get regular keys.

We were in town for our Great niece’s graduation 👩‍🎓 from Iowa State! We had a wonderful time!

It's a Marriott! If you have status, it's probably worth it to visit the mezzanine level for their evening food & drinks. The host is named Mary, and she's very friendly. You do pay for drinks, but the food is free and I really enjoyed the whole thing. Otherwise, the hotel is everything you would expect. Clean, helpful staff, no issues at all.

Absolutely love this place! From the minute you pull up to the valet parking you’re greeted with class. I enjoyed a beautiful corporate event here in their second floor space and it was beautiful. We also looked here as a place to hold our wedding reception; and I wish we would have! The staff was very responsive, professional, and friendly. Every time I’ve come here I’ve had a great experience.

Hotel staff was great. Easy parking. Close to downtown. Please retire the mattresses in 325. terrible. Did not sleep. Other than the entire kitchen does not know how to make or offer ice tea the stay was great.

Guests are treated respectfully. Invited to use the amenities, given a list of downtown restaurants. Rooms well maintained and everything is within a walk or a mile or two. Did I mention some of the finest selection of foods and drinks I've seen

Attended a wedding reception at Top of the Tower. It's been 29 years since I was last here for my own wedding reception. Views were beautiful and the hotel staff were wonderful. Very polite and managed the buffet & bussing of tables very well. Food was really good too! Only draw back was the room no longer rotates. That's why I gave a total of 4 stars.

I am attending this hotel for a conference. The grounds were exceptionally clean and nice. The staff was amazing and accommodated my needs to pump throughout the conference. Would gladly give this place my business!!

The rooms are a nice size but the carpet in my room was dirty. The bed had the common worn section on the side used most to get in and out. There is a railroad track in front of the hotel. The trains are loud with their horns. Trains can come by at any time. It was pretty consistent to have a train passing every night at 3:40am. I reviewed this Hampton Inn before. Forgot to add only negative: the awful coffee and coffee makers in the room. Hope they replace with small Keurig machines. Good coffee choices in the lobby, tho, 24-7, I think.

The staff is impeccable! The 2 ladies at the front desk I know one was names Christina do not know the name of the other one were so amazing! My friends and I stayed here for the weekend, the ladies treated us like family absolutely amazing never met a nicer set of staff at a front desk at any hotel.

Though you can tell that they are understaffed, those who were there were amazing. I stayed with my French Bulldog, and everyone that worked there treated her like a princess. They brought dog cookies in from home for her, one even cooked her sausages for breakfast! Excellent! The room I stayed in was very clean. We don't remember having such a great night's sleep in a hotel before! Phenomenal beds and pillows! Our room was very very nice and comfortable.

This wasn’t the newest the nicest Motel 6 I’ve stayed at, but it was fine for the number of days I stayed. I stayed in the room a lot because of the weather. The staff were good about refilling my linens when I asked. I started in room 129, but it didn’t have a remote and apparently couldn’t be replaced. Great staff. I recommend this place for both short and long term stay. It has nice facilities. A swimming pool and a hot tub to serve a small family size. You can choose to go to the pool when kids turn is over. There’s a fitness center which can hold about 14 people at a time and dry sauna for sauna lovers. Stayed overnight as I had an early flight. Location is very good for easy and quick access to airport and parking. This place has gotten a little run down in the last few years. BUT it's quiet at night and I always get a great night of sleep here. For the price, it is a great place to crash before an early am flight or after a late arrival.

The ambiance is very good and the staff is very friendly. My stay with them went very smoothly just like I expected. This is a unique and very special hotel. The elegant and interesting decor in the lobby will keep a person entertained for quite a while if they admire each of the tableaus The rooms are large and lovely with high ceilings. Ours had a fireplace. The hotel is well situated near the Civic Center and a number of good restaurants.

Absolutely perfect! We stayed in a king suite with jacuzzi and it was spacious and luxurious. It’s not often I just want to sleep in and stay longer at a hotel but I had to drag myself out of bed.
