Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

Expensive ($160/night on a Saturday in August) for the quality of the hotel. Staff is friendly, but possibly overworked. The rooms are in need of repair: scratched and scuffed walls, drill holes in multiple places, cords hanging visibly out, and the air conditioning was very loud and knocked around a bit. The TV seemed to be from the 1990s, and the wifi wouldn't connect. The beds were clean and comfortable though, and I saw other guests with pets. Not a terrible place, but it does come with continental breakfast (waffles, bagels, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and coffee). "First world" problems, right?

If I could give a rating of 0 I would however 1 is the lowest score. I say this because when I called to ask about room reservations & rates I spoke with a woman who had an accent who was very unprofessional and rude. My first call with her was abrupt; she gave me the information I needed but did not give the standard "goodbye message" - e.g. thank you for calling, have a pleasant day. Instead she shared the pricing and hung up - talk about rude & unprofessional. I wasn't done with checking other competitors so I called a nearby spot and was greeted with a pleasant experience and was told about a discount (staying a certain number of nights) and figured America's Best had it (if so I wasn't told about it) or that they could match it. So, I called back and got the same woman; I told her that a competitor had this discount and was wondering if she could match it. In a tone of voice I would describe as "displeased" she said "No, go stay with them" and hung up. I was appalled - I've never had such a terrible customer service interaction ever (and just so you know I've worked in Customer Relations/Services Industry and understand employees can have a bad day and may not be the happiest person over the phone, but this was just unprofessional). If this is the level of customer service that is to be expected when dealing with America's Best then I DO NOT want to give them my money (this doesn't include other reviewers’ comments about the actual stay). Oh, even though in my searching America's Best did in fact have the cheapest rate (beat the competitor's by about 40 dollars) it did not make up for the service I had.

Point is: DO NOT stay here; spend the extra couple of dollars to go elsewhere that will treat you with the courtesy and respect you deserve.

The worst breakfast or even breakfast options I've ever seen in my life for a hotel and I had two rooms and the Wi-Fi Did Not Work in neither room, neither did their Televisions they give you Eight👀 different wi-fi options and I swear to God all eight did not work or produce Wi-Fi SMFH!!!!💩🤬🤔

Internet isn't strong enough to use the TV that requires streaming to watch anything. When I called the front desk to ask about the wifi password, I was asked to hold for a moment. I then listened to him talk to someone about a job with full benefits, and then check in a couple other guests. I hung up and called back after 26 minutes of listening to chit-chat. That's when I was informed that he'd give me the password but it wouldn't matter because it isn't strong enough to use anyway.
Our room was by the outside door and the ice machine which woke us up when it banged every hour all night.
The staff was wonderful but it was definitely not a place I'll stay again.
