Amelia Island Williams House

I booked the Amelia Island Williams House as the last stop on our vacation and what a treat it was. Veronica was absolutely wonderful about keeping in touch with me and making sure we were comfortable. The property is stunning from inside to outside. After arriving from a long day of travel we were thrilled to find out about that there was a complimentary wine hour in the parlor. In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful sit down breakfast with the other guests in the dining room. I really wish that we could have stayed one more night but I’m glad that we got to end our trip here at The Williams House. Thank you to Veronica and her staff!

The Williams House is a wonderful place! The rooms and the rest of the inn are clean, upscale, and full of character. The service from owner Veronica and her staff are truly excellent. Veronica has great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. She also provides delicious gourmet breakfasts each morning. The location of the inn allows guests to walk pretty much wherever they want to go in Fernandina Beach, so you can park your car at the inn when you arrive and not use it again until you leave. My highest recommendation!

Absolutely wonderful experience at the Williams House. Beautiful B&B with so much history. Very clean and comfortable and accommodating. Veronica, the innkeeper, is lovely and such a wonderful host - she has truly thought of everything. Breakfast all three days was absolutely delicious too. Wine is offered in the early evening and it is especially nice to sip it out on the beautiful front porch. We borrowed the property's bikes and took a nice ride around town and up to the beach which was a nice little touch. Veronica had lots of recommendations for things to do, places to eat, and things to see. We really felt like valued guests while we were there and felt very much at home. I wish all B&Bs were like this one!

My husband took me to Amelia Island for my birthday and we stayed at the Williams House. We had never been to a bed and breakfast before and did not know what to expect. Veronica, the innkeeper, made our first bed and breakfast experience one we will never forget. She was very attentive to all our needs and took the time to find out what our needs were. For example, I am lactose intolerant and she made sure every breakfast was lactose free. My husband loves ice tea with agave and she made sure he had as much ice tea as he wanted and she provided agave for his drink. She was very knowledgeable about where to go on the island for shopping, restaurants and beaches. We stayed at the Williams House for five days and every morning the breakfast was delicious and filling. So filling that we were never hungry for lunch. Veronica had fresh baked cookies out all day long and every night she provided wine for the guests in the parlor. Part of our stay included a picnic which Veronica made. She included every detail for the picnic lunch and even provided a map to the best places to have the picnic on the beach. I could go on and on about how wonderful Veronica and the Williams House is but I think you should find out for yourself. I highly recommend it and look forward to going back.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Amelia Island William House! Veronica was a wonderful host and very attentive to all of our needs!! The gourmet breakfast was delicious both days and presented in such an elegant manner...we have never been so pampered during breakfast! The Smugglers Cove room was fantastic. The private screened in porch was a nice treat, even though it was a bit chilly on the days that we were in town. Location is perfect. Easy walk to restaurants, bars, shops...and there are so many great ones to choose from! We also took advantage of the complimentary bikes included with our stay and took a nice long bike ride of the island! All in all it was a wonderful getaway weekend for my husband and I... Would highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Williams House during our first visit to Amelia Island. Although the house is old, it is extremely well cared for and in great condition. Upon arrival the innkeeper, Veronica, quickly got us checked into our room. The room was well sized, with a great bathroom (with jet tub and large walk-in shower). The bed was comfy and the sheets were awesome. The Inn is close-by to downtown for an easy walk down to the waterfront. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and bike available for use. Although we only got to enjoy one breakfast experience… it was just that… an experience…. Holy cow it was amazing! Veronica knows how to spoil you when it comes to food! Overall a great experience - highly recommend!

Clean, quiet and quintessentially Amelia Island. Veronica and her staff have created a welcoming environment that enhances your stay while visiting Fernandina Beach. Perfect location as a home base while exploring all the island has to offer. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast to start the day, the bikes that were available to use to find our way to the best spots, as well as sipping wine during happy hour and relaxing on the front porch. Amelia Island is a location rich in history and the Williams House added to the experience of being a part of it.

Couldn't have chosen a better place to rest our tired feet after our wedding close by. What a stunningly beautiful old home that is well cared for by exceedingly helpful and welcoming staff. Breakfast was delicious. The room and bathroom were so beautiful down to the smallest of details. We cannot wait to stay here again, might be an anniversary spot! On a side note I bought my new favorite coffee mug. Thanks to everyone at the Williams House!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed! Everything was impeccable. Veronica is amazing and I’m shocked to read a couple of the negative reviews. I can’t imagine her behaving in those ways. Our experience was top notch! The Inn is impeccably maintained. Our room was gorgeous and spotless! We enjoyed the fireplace and the giant jetted bathtub several times during our stay. The breakfasts every day were works of art and Veronica has an eye for detail! It’s evident in everything around the Inn. The artwork is very interesting and adds a nice touch to the property. Our bed was cozy and comfortable. Water, coffee and tea were right outside our door at all times. Veronica is so pleasant and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with her and we will be returning. Many times! Above and beyond!

Stayed one night in mid June ‘22. We stayed in the Catherine’s Chamber room in the Hearthstone house. The entire stay was wonderful. This place gets labeled as a B&B, but felt more like a full service Inn. Veronica was super friendly, helpful and professional. The room was clean, enormous, and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and the art collection throughout the house was fascinating. Go, and enjoy your stay!
