Hotels in Gainesville

As many have already suggested, (some of) the rooms are not up to Hilton standards, as they are in desperate need of renovating (some have already been renovated, and they are just fine). The lobby and common areas are nice, however. It’s a shame, because at one time this was supposed to be the nicest hotel in town.

Although the lobby of this hotel is beautiful & the location is outstanding, there is a huge problem with this hotel. We booked this hotel for two nights & upon arrival to our room on night one, the smell inside the room was horrendous. Great service! Mike, the front desk attendant, was super friendly when I first arrived. I had a problem with my card and he was very helpful and patient. Came here for a convention. Wonderful place. Had breakfast buffet, which included coffee cake & fruit filled crepes. Lunch buffet was incredible! The hotel was clean and the staff were nice. Signature drinks at the bar were very good. The thermostat in our room stopped working during our first night stay but they fixed it quickly. The bed was comfortable. The shower head was terrible and is overdue to be updated. The cable TV service failed frequently. The breakfast buffet at Shula's was very underwhelming especially considering the price.

I was scared I wouldn't be okay with this hotel because of the reviews. My room was fine. The mirror was old and rusty. There was no microwave but there was a refrigerator and a hair dryer. The carpet wasn't too gross but I wore slippers. The bathroom counter was really nice and the air conditioning worked well. I liked the design of the room. And the location was great.

It was a pleasant experience, I booked a room online and was able to check in way before the 4pm check in time which was great. The beds in our room were awesome. Was a bit disappointed in not having any tissue or extra toilet paper. But overall it was a great room for the price for the night.

Nice and clean rooms. You will get a nice and warm feeling as soon as you walk inside the hotel. It's a regular Hilton hotel with nice clean rooms and a good set of toiletries and no complimentary breakfast. Over this location is a very prime location. The huge tree in the parking lot adds up a very nice and aesthetic feeling or it's just me.

Ask for Room 357. We stayed for five nights and I slept great! It was quiet, clean, and updated with a newer bathroom. The beds were perfectly comfortable. The A/C was quiet, easy to operate, and very cold. This particular room has a good window with lots of natural light. Be careful, the bathroom floor is slippery when wet. Great Hotel. Clean with a friendly staff. Room was always taken care of. Plenty of room to park. Due to my short visit wasn't able to experience much of the hotel itself but it's nearby to Target and a majority of all that Gainesville has to offer. Great location. Our entire stay was flawless. The 2:45 am check - in. .. the yummy morning breakfast in the Doubletree's restaurant.. the quiet room that let us oversleep in the comfy bed. I have nothing but compliments for that Doubletree location!

Decent room for the price. The breakfast wasn't the greatest but the gentleman I dealt with both checking in and checking out was very polite. I am in a large local group of Florida Gator boosters. We have used large rooms all over Gainesville. In all my experience in dealing with conference spaces this Holiday Inn has been the best place we have ever been. The facilities are nice, clean and remodeled. We love this Best Western. The rooms are large, the beds are very comfortable, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is GREAT. It is a comfortable hotel in a good location for a great price. Rooms are always amazing, I stay here whenever I'm in gainesville. They're pet friendly, always clean and helpful, and right off the highway so really prime real-estate for traveling.

The room was great. We stayed before Hurricane Ian hit. Once we heard that our are might be spared the devastation we cancelled the last two nights reservation to return home. I have yet to be able to get a refund on the last nights stay. We actually lost out on two nights stay, but I can’t get a call back from the manager on refunding the last night stay! Poor business!

Stayed here two years in a row on New Year's Eve after long drives from up north. Friendly, helpful staff. Room is not your typical boring box. Well designed with some unexpectedly nice appointments. Exceptionally clean! Courtyard has swimming pool and firepit seating, great place to drink a beer and ponder the upcoming year. Will stay here again.

I stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Gainesville for a business meeting and a family stay too. The hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and my daughter loved the pool area. I would 100% stay here again!

Breakfast was very good. Also again I thank the Hilton chain in not getting a hard time on a service dog. I realize this can be abused by many people the dogs there are clearly not trained, but the staff could clearly see that it was a service dog. The staff was also very very nice.

This was a very nice hotel. Rooms were clean, staff was nice and internet worked rather well for the free version. This hotel is perfectly placed for the game day experience. It is close to everything. Older hotel, but updated. The staff was friendly and attentive. The fitness room is functional and clean, but no towels, water, wipes etc. On gameday, all hotels in the area are way more expensive than they should be and Hampton is no different. They have hot and cold breakfast 😋 My only problem was with the beds,, I personally don't like soft beds. Oh and I don't like elevators and to make it worse it was 1 and a little thing at that lol. Yes I would recommend 👌

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! Stayed here heading out of Florida directly after Hurricane Ian and stayed again when we were returning. They were extremely helpful, ran a clean place, and only had polite things to say. Barbara helped us find a good mechanic, Taylor made sure we had the perfect room with and even wrangled a cot for us, and the breakfast guy (can't remember his name) was phenomenal...

Comfort inn isn't quite worth it in comparison to its competition. It's free breakfast is simplistic. The juice was just a bit off for some odd reason. The room was fine but the TV is particularly small. The customer service is decent with nice enough staff. Not the worst hotel but there are definitely better ones out there. And even in the area as well.

Above average 3 star hotel that lives up to it's name. Having stayed at quite a few Comfort Inns lately, I have been very satisfied with the rooms, the bedding, the cleanliness & the food. Everything is just a bit better than other hotels in the same category. And, they all had friendly staff, too. I will be sticking with Comfort Inn whenever I can.

A very comfortable stay with plenty of room in the suite. The pool was a great addition and everything was very clean.

They all went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and had no wants. They took the time to learn our names and understand our reason for our stay and engaged us at every chance to check on our well-being. This has been the most memorable stay I’ve had at a Hilton because of the superior level of customer service.

The hotel staff is very welcoming. The location is great. Plenty of parking and easy to enter and exit. The entire facility was clean. Breakfast was hot and fresh. There are refreshments on Wednesday evening only which was disappointing.

Staff goes above and beyond! Every single staff member I encountered was kind and helpful. Everyone from front desk personnel to housekeeping, even kitchen staff was great! Room was spacious, I even had a toaster and microwave in my room. I came after evacuating hurricane Ian and the staff was a blessing. I was able to bring my dog here as well. Had to make a last minute reservation due to a family member passing away and the staff were so nice, especially to my wife who got there early, they made sure everything was taken care of, our room request was met, and even some snacks, drinks and a very sweet card. THIS facility is great. The facilities are pleasant and the people are wonderful. However a newly enforced corporate policy regarding reservation cancellation is a deal breaker. 48 hours advance notice resulting in full price charges is unconscionable.
