Hotel is exceptionally run in every aspect. Arrival, check-in staff, the rooms are spot less and top notch bedding and finishes.

I booked this hotel for my daughter’s cheer competition because it was close in proximity to the convention center. I am an avid review reader before I stay somewhere and these 4.5/5 stars do not add up for this establishment.
We booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite for 4 adults and 2 children. This room had plenty of space and the exposed brick was a nice vibe. Unfortunately that is where the positivity in this review ends.
Our room was DIRTY. There was dust in very viable places including on the windowsill behind the night stand. The refrigerator had crumbs in it. There was a peanut m&m found in the living room under the coffee table. If there is that amount of dust in a clearly visible area, I’m worried for what is being left uncleaned in the areas you can’t see so well.
Another large part in where I choose to stay is choosing a hotel that offers breakfast. When I say the food was disappointing that is an understatement. This place is going to get people sick. The hot food (eggs, sausage etc.) were cold. My mother in law brought it to an employees attention to make sure the burners were on and nothing was done to rectify the situation.
My father in law booked this room and used his Hilton points for it. If I had booked this room I would have raised hell. This is completely unacceptable and for $300/night I expect a lot more.

Bill and his team went above and beyond to make my little girls 3rd birthday extra special and even were able to impress my teenager as well (nearly impossible these days) the room was amazing with an awesome view of Grand Rapids! Location is great. Only downfall is parking but that’s the case in all of downtown. The breakfast lady chef was also extremely personable and I was told makes a mean biscuits and gravy! The summer would be amazing time to visit with access to the roof top bar!! Thanks again guys you were amazing!!!!

I had a deal by paying in advance, non refundable, which made it decent value for money. I read the reviews to avoid the first floor but couldn't avoid it by paying in advance, ended up being the only room available when checking in in advance... Bright hallway to the garage is the window view so bring a hair clip to close the curtains fully. Bathroom door wouldn't slide properly and couldn't close fully. However, spending minimal time in the room and being able to walk around downtown for a weekend is good for those looking for a decent deal.

This hotel is one of my new favorites in GR. The rooms are beautiful, the kitchenettes are very convenient, and the staff are top notch. Whenever I had a need or issue, they worked to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. The *only* minor issue I had was that the floors are pretty squeaky, so if you’re a light sleeper, request a high floor.

Parking and access to the lobby was easy. Lobby area was well kept and room was clean. I've never seen hard wood in a hotel room. It was unique but the hallways had carpet over the hardwood which creaked when people walked by. Breakfast was yummy and buffet was well stocked.

The hotel is a little pricey but it's downtown and makes up for it in a couple ways. They have many complimentary items besides just breakfast and the rooms are clean and nice. I enjoy the brick wall and hardwood floor as something different for a hotel. Really lovely room but the floors squeak and the sound proofing could be better. $30 a day to park. Nice people.

Nice space, but the flooring is not kind... it creaks. Everywhere. In the lobby, hallways, rooms. When trying to sleep, you can hear the upstairs neighbors and those to the left and right walking around. Also, the construction across the street? Started at 730 in the morning. I had a late night in, but a late start and wanted to sleep in. Nope. Otherwise, LOVELY space. Friendly staff. Very clean. And wonderful location.

My stay was wonderful! The staff were phenomenal, my room was beautiful, and the location was perfect. There was a small issue with a railing and some of the flooring in my suite and after I shot off an email, the assistant general manager personally called me to let me know it'd be taken care of very quickly. It's staff like these fine folks that bolster my loyalty to Hilton Hotels! My only real complaint is the cost of the attached parking garage, but that's Ellis Parking so that doesn't count (plus you can park in the Pearl & Ionia garage a block away for about half the cost). Overall a great experience and I would gladly stay again!
