Hilton Garden Inn Hilton Head

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn as a group for my daughter's wedding. They were very accommodating, the rooms were perfect and they were very easy to deal with about details. I think in all we had 14 rooms and I believe everyone was happy. We also made welcome bags for our guests and the front desk staff was so kind to pass them out as the guest arrived. Will stay again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Bluffton, SC

We were greeted warmly by the hungry alligator in the parking lot pond 😂 (harmless as there’s a gate around the whole pond)
We stayed for 9 nights with a very well behaved English Mastiff and two kids. We chose the first floor, it was great because we were next to the gym (very basic but it works) and the laundry room (the machines are small for a family but cleaned well and dried well).
The location is perfect as you’re a few minutes from Bluffton and a few minutes from Hilton Head. You have excellent options for dinner.
The kids loved the pool, the pool area is big and great for tanning and reading too.
There’s a lot of wildlife in the parking lot and grassy areas around the hotel, it was a lot of fun for the kids (crabs everywhere and in the pool!, anoles, geckos, raccoons, garter snakes).
The two things I think they could be doing better are:
1. Breakfast is not free and it makes no sense. It should be free for kids at least. Kids 10 and under pay $10 to eat cereal boxes and drink a glass of OJ. That includes the hot buffet and allows them to eat eggs and bacon but most kids under 10 don’t eat like that.
They can order things like waffles or pancakes ala carte that are between $10-$15. Hot buffet for anyone over 10 is $15.
You can go out for breakfast and have a much better breakfast. The table service not very friendly and they don’t do much but clean up after you.
2. Housekeeping only makes the bed, replenishes shampoo and soap, and replenishes towels every other day. They don’t actually clean anything when you’re as long as we were which I didn’t like.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is absolutely the cleanest we have stayed in for years.
When we checked in we were exhausted so we decided to eat in the garden grille. Lesa was our waitress/bartender and she took GREAT care of us. Helping with food and beverage selections. After her great care, it was no surprise to hear she is also the executive housekeeper of your very clean facility. Lesa is a jewel and a valuable member of your team. A well run establishment.

Nice hotel, nothing fancy. Service was good. Parking locations weren't so great, we had to make our own spot outside the parking areas like some others did.
