Harrah's North Kansas City Hotel & Casino

Rooms in the KC Tower are extremely outdated and...really gross, honestly. Our tub took about 45 minutes to drain after each shower. The carpet had more stains and filth than you could imagine. Frankly, I'm excited to go home and take a long shower after spending a few days here. Caesar's should be embarrassed that this is how their brand is represented.

If you have an opportunity to come here, don't. Could be fun to spend an hour here at the Casino, but for the amount you pay to stay, rooms should at least be clean.

So I was looking to get away from my smoking neighbor and searched out a hotel for the night. I told them face to face at the front desk that I have terrible asthma and was looking for a place to respite overnight till the property manager came in on Monday.

They proceeded to send me up a smoked filled elevator into a room that smelled of smoke, too. I was willing to give it a try, but within 5 minutes, my eyes were burning, and my nose was running!

I go back to the check-in desk and ask for another room. They proceeded to put me in a room on the 1st floor. "Pet friendly" is what they called it. So again willing to try... trusting in their judgment. I drag my stuff down a long hallway to the bsck of the hotel.

Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was that the couch was so stained that I refused to even sit my bags on it! And you could definitely smell pets! I was so tired and weary that I was willing to put up with it. So I thought.

I dressed for bed, fell asleep, and 1 hour later, I woke up choking! I got up re dressed and I called my booking company for a refund.

I got to the front desk to turn my key in and asked, "Why on Earth would you call any of these rooms non-smoking?" The girl who was helping me said in a smart tone,"no one else complains. " I was completely taken back.

Do not ever stay here if you have asthma! And pet friendly rooms should be 1/2 priced. Never again... like the old saying goes... "Once bitten, twice shy."
