Sleep Inn Kansas City International Airport

Rooms and beds were small as well as the bathroom and shower but they all worked for the weekend. Looked clean but the place smells. People were outside the back door smoking a blunt at 9 am saturday morning. Walking distance to waffle house and a steakhouse. They were both good as well. The pool was closed but its not even may yet. We didnt try the breakfast. I may stay there again if i need to.

Quiet and clean enough for a one-night stay before a morning flight. The room smelled strongly of incense, but at least that was better than smoke. The toilet was wobbly and there were some holes in the blanket, but nothing was soiled. AC was strong and shower was great. Basically the property is slightly outdated/worn but decent enough overall. A bigger frustration is that they are an airport hotel but do not offer an airport shuttle. If you are looking for a budget option, be sure to factor in that you will need an Uber or Lyft before a flight.

First off, I appreciate that the Sleep Inn is advertised as a smoke-free hotel, which is definitely a plus for those of us who are sensitive to smoke. However, I was quite taken aback by the smell in the hallways. While I expected a fresh, clean environment, the strong odor of weed was pervasive and really detracted from the overall experience. It was disappointing, especially given the smoke-free designation.

The rooms themselves were decent and clean, offering the usual amenities you'd expect from a budget hotel. The bedding was comfortable, and I did manage to get a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and accommodating upon check-in, which added a nice touch to my stay. However, with the unpleasant smell in the hallways, it made me question the hotel's commitment to providing a truly smoke-free environment.

In terms of location, the hotel is convenient for travelers as it's very close to the airport, which is great if you have an early flight. Overall, I’d rate my experience as a 3-star one.
