Kauai Shores Hotel

Beautiful beach on property. Lounge chairs to sit on the beach in the evening and listen to the ocean. Absolutely relaxing, be careful though, you may fall asleep.

Front desk staff and housekeepers were all friendly and always helpful.

Only 2 floors, which is nice, less crowded. Our room was clean and beds were firm which is how I like it.

Parking is first come first serve, but they have valet parking for free. Never had to use this service cause there was always a spot. People are coming and going at all times of the day and night.

I would recommend this hotel for families or couples. Definitely will make this our go to when visiting Kauai in the near future.

Nice hotel overall — clean and quiet. Check in and check out went very smooth. Housekeeping is very efficient and kind.

Parking is very limited at nighttime, not as bad during the day. We didn’t have any problems finding parking, but we also didn’t stay out very late in the evening and had a sedan.

We would definitely stay again if we came back to Kauai — good value for cost overall.

Great location. This particular facility has not been remodeled in a long time and the rooms definitely show that. It does not have very nice rooms. The facility is kind of old.The location is great. Service is very good. Definitely worth it. Very good food but lots of birds eating the food from the table you eat at. They are very pretty birds though good pictures. Not a good place to bring children in my opinion.

I was a little worried after reading some reviews but we were so impressed with this hotel, especially the grounds. So beautiful! The staff were amazing. The beach right out back was actually one of our favorite on the island, it was the perfect place to watch the sunrise everyday. The smoothies at the lava lava beach club were so good. I would absolutely stay here again

For the price, it gets 5 stars. You get a really good bang for your buck. The hotel invested in what matters most for vacation.

First, the beds were quite comfortable.

Second, the amenities were nice. There are 2 pools and a v. nice hot tub and it's by a beach (an OK one). House cleaning was better than I expected. The restaurant was by the beach and the live music was good. The early morning yoga session we attended was great.

The sound isolation is decent, but I had to use earplugs to sleep thru the roosters.

The self parking spots were teeny, but the valet was complimentary and convenient. We only had to use it once, we managed to find a spot the other 3 nights.

The location is central on the island. There are a lot of good food options nearby and the market in the Coconut Marketplace was very convenient.

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and loved it. The rooms were good (Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn equivalent) and the location and service were excellent.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the evening but there's free valet parking available to guests, so it's really not an issue.

The Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant (on the hotel property) was our go to spot for breakfast on the beach. The breakfast menu isn't extensive but the location can't be beat. The dinner experience is really good. They have live music every night and good food.

The front desk checks in regularly via text and was very responsive to our needs. Highly recommended.

Stayed here Nov 25-Dec 3 and had a great time. Hotel was just what we needed. Rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. Hotel was a good central
location to either end of the island. Lava Lava Beach Club restaurant was very good and nice to have on site. Will miss the FBI omelette. I believe her name was Angela but she was so lovely and helpful at the front desk. She was genuinely friendly/engaging. If we ever come back to the island would stay here again. Thanks again.
