Great hotel in a great location. Room was spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Amenities are excellent: it might seem like a small thing, but the on-site bike rental with two free hours included is really cool.
Our "partial ocean view" room had a small balcony with a very nice view.
Key West prices have gotten really crazy over the last few years, but at least I felt like this hotel tries to give you your money's worth.

Walked into the courtyard to see a huge Macaw bird in a 2ft wide x 4ft foot long cage. The cage has thick plastic PVC on the front & back & only the sides of the cage are breathable. Poor bird could barely breath & directly in the sun on a 97°degree day! Little water bowl! So, so sad! What a slow miserable death!! I'm sure the bird gets fed daily, but why is the cage enclosed with thick PVC plastic? As an advocate & donor for a bird/wildlife sanctuary here in Florida, the Hyatt could really afford to build a better cage & habitat for their beloved rescued bird, Odie!!!

This hotel has some positives BUT BEWARE...Based on the cost of the property and my experience at other Hyatt Resorts, I was SURPRISED and DISAPPOINTED to discover that the property was very "public". That is, there is not controlled or monitored access to the property, limiting only hotel guests access. The small pool area was primarily comprised of drunk, non-hotel guests occupying most of the pool lounge chairs while creating a non-Hyatt Resort atmosphere and experience for paying guests. I observed the non-hotel guests being loud, rude and disrespectful to hotel guests and hotel staff. Because common area access to bathrooms at the property were limited, I also observed multiple non-hotel guests urinating in the bushes directly adjacent to the pool area. These non-hotel guests were most likely staying at less expensive properties with little to no amenities and so they were taking advantage of the amenities Hyatt property at the expense of actual, paying Hyatt guests. It would appear that Hyatt has made the decision to put revenue above guest experience by opening up their pool and pool bar area to non-hotel guests in order to generate more income.
Additionally, there was no controlled access to the gym. I workout every day and observed non-hotel guests entering the property and using the gym each day. I had to wait to use equipment due to these non- hotel guests being present. Again, taking away from paying Hyatt guests experience.
I would not recommend this property for this reason. Stay next door at the Pier House if you want an better experience.

Beautiful hotel located right on the water. Very small public beach, but rent yourself a golf cart and take a scenic ride to beaches close by. Location was one block from Duval St. Ate the included breakfast at the restaurant every morning, which was very good with a beautiful view and friendly staff. Everything you need is right there and within walking distance to everything. Everything from the welcoming glass of champagne, kettle drum music by the pool, to feeding the turtles every morning really was a nice touch. Would definitely splurge to stay there again!

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Centric Key West in an oceanfront room. Compared to other hotels in the area, the Hyatt Centric is one of the nicer options that Key West has to offer. However, I don't think the rooms justify the high prices.
The oceanfront room had a great view and the bathrooms seem recently updated with nice finishes. However, the bedroom itself felt a bit dated and in need of some renovations, especially considering the nightly rates. The loud, rattling AC unit fan also made it difficult to sleep. For the premium price, I expected a more luxurious room.
The Hyatt Centric staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service during my stay. The common areas of the hotel like the lobby and pool deck were stylish and nicely maintained.
However, I cannot recommend eating at the on-site restaurants. The food was overwhelmingly bland and lacking in flavor. For a hotel and location like this, far better dining options exist elsewhere in Key West.
Overall, the Hyatt Centric makes for a pleasant but overpriced stay while visiting Key West. Unless renovations are done to improve the rooms and on-site dining, I likely would not return and cannot wholeheartedly recommend. The kind staff and lovely views, while nice, still do not provide enough value compared to the nightly rates charged here.

Nice looking grounds. Modern room with great shower and small balconey for two. Smallish but adequate pool. Tepid hot tub. Access to the gulf for swimming. Live music by the pool during happy hour. Casual outside bar/dining by the pool and nicer restaurant with formal indoor seating and outside seating facing the ocean. Included in service fee: pool towels, water, sunblock, after sun lotion, daily courtesy cocktail

My husband and I are leaving here today, refreshed and relaxed. The staff could not have been better from the cleaning crew to the front desk, concierge and spa! They cater to your every need. The coffee is first class and so is the SHOR restaurant and outside bar. The view of the harbor is spectacular and the location is a ten! You don't need a car as everything you need is in walking distance or a short cab ride away. I can't recommend this hotel enough and after many years of coming here, trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Very well located in Key west easy walk to everything and everywhere, on the waters edge with a great view of the sunset from the piers. Staff where wonderful and helpful and made the trip a delight

If you're looking for an amazing place to have dinner on the water, with THE best view of the sunset, and some of nicest staff on the island, go to SHOR! The pecan crusted grouper was amazing!

I'd like to give 6 stars.
I checked in on the 1st night they re-opened after Irma.
At check in Maria took great care of me.
Excellent Deluxe room.
I stayed 3 nights and housekeeping were polite , helpful and friendly every day.
Plus the Turtle ponds .
Groundskeeping did a top notch job of clean up after the Hurricane, even with overblown trees.
Good job everyone.
Check out couldn't have been smoother.
