Killington Grand Resort Hotel
Killington, 228 East Mountain Road 🧭 Map
Stayed for a conference.
The good:
The food, accommodations, and staff were excellent. The room was spacious. The heated pool and hot tub were great. All areas I went to were extremely clean including the room
The bad:
The murphy bed (something I've never seen in a hotel before) was one of the stiffest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. The couch in the room was also quite uncomfortable...
Great location for large conferences. Attended ATMNE conference on site for two days with several hundred people and at least a dozen venders. I commuted to event both days. Staff were professional. Food provided by resort kitchen was excellent with diverse dietary options. Conference rooms were clean, with good audio/tech for events. Ballroom easily converted to multiple conference rooms in seemingly...
Love this place, definitely worth the price to have everything you need or want in one spot. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, restaurant is great, pool and hot tub are wonderful for the family. Oh, and the mountains, restaurants and shops in the area aren't too shabby either!
Had a great weekend getaway here! The room was large and clean. And the kitchenette had everything you would need. The amenities were also great, especially the heated pool and hot tub that had amazing views of the mountain. The staff were also very friendly. I also recommend trying out the restaurant at the resort, it was very tasty.
Stayed in a two bedroom suite that was supposed to sleep 8 with "two queen size beds" in one of the rooms. The room itself was smaller than two queen beds and it had twin mattresses. It's a good thing there weren't 8 of us trying to stay here. As far as the rest of the hotel the amenities are fine. Nothing special. The food offerings are adequate. For the money I spent I would have expected things...
About the wedding venue aspect only: the ballroom is very spacious, with a lot of staff to help with catering and decorating for the wedding. Screens are available inside the ballroom. Not many windows unfortunately. They offer a lot of assistance in terms of decorations and changes to the menu. One thing with the outside ceremony section though is that there's a pool right near the event that's open...

Killington Mountain Lodge, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
Killington, 2617 Killington Road 🧭 Map
Honest Review: I see a lot of grumbling on here about the hotel. Yes, it is a Tapestry Collection, and certain aspects are desired for these types of hotels. However, having stayed at easily over 200+ Hilton properties, there are certain things to understand. The hotel is an older property (built in 1987) that Hilton (affiliates) took on and did some beautiful upgrades to. I loved the look of the property...
Negative reviews are always hard to write, but I'm hoping people see this before spending any hard-earned money at this Hilton property. Unfortunately I didn't and I spent over $600 for night! If I visit again, I would look anywhere else. There are plenty of B&Bs or motels that will surely give a much better experience and value for the money.
What was wrong? In no particular order:
1. There was...
We stayed at this hotel in August and found a few drawbacks. There was no breakfast available, and despite expecting an indoor pool, we discovered there wasn’t one. There is a small hot tub outside, but it’s only open from 10 AM to 10 PM.
On the positive side, the room size was great for our family of four. It’s usually difficult to find a suite with one king bed and two twin beds. The rooms appeared...
Overall, we had a nice time at Killington. I was a little disappointed in the resort. The room was nice and clean, but the TV did not work well at all. It appears the TVs are connected through the Internet and there was a horrible lag. We were under the impression there would be a pool, but there is no pool. There is one large hot tub only. At one point we wanted to go outside and drink our coffee...
I will start by saying we really liked the hotel and location and our room. Our room was clean and must have been recently renovated. But we definitely had some issues. During our 3 night stay we had no hot water which is really awful after coming back to your room after skiing all day and you would like a hot shower. When we asked the staff about the issue they told us that it was because it was ...
Our room was very clean and cozy! There's alot of space in the rooms so you don't feel cramped. The bed was extremely comfortable! The lighting in the bathroom is perfect, and if you like to do makeup they have ring lit mirrors in the rooms as well. If you like to watch TV they have flat screens that appear to be very new. The scene by the hot tub is beautiful and again very cozy. The staff is extremely...

Summit Lodge
Killington, 200 SUMMIT ROAD 🧭 Map
The room was very quiet and fairly large, the staff was extremely nice, the grounds are wonderful (too bad I stayed only for one night), and breakfast was small, but good quality.
Rustic lodge on the Killington access road. Lovely common room with warming fireplace. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean though basic. A great place to stay near the ski slopes.
We were there for our oldest son's wedding! The rooms were a bit outdated but definitely homelike and comfortable! The staff were amazing! The location was wonderful!
Had our Daughter's Wedding there. Everything was perfect. Venue was beautiful with the rustic charm that we were looking for. Our family and friends were able to stay and enjoy the amenities and the Staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Food was delicious too.
can't say enough about the Summit.
Great resort place to stay! We liked it a lot! Will come back definitely. Had great time there after hiking - they have heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bar and live music. For kids a lot games. The staff is amazing and very helpful!
This was the coolest place, so beautiful! We stayed here on our way through town, wish we would have had another night to enjoy the area and premises more. We loved the food and bar, and talking with the local regulars. The rooms were basic, but just what we needed for the night, and what you'd expect a ski lodge to be. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

it was a very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel. the receptionist was very helpful on arrival.
the restaurant provided a good meal with a nice glass of wine.
Clean, Excellent service, great location. Had a great experience. Clean rooms, great hot water and shower. Used heated pool , which is outside and great. Continental breakfast worked well, great coffee. Chocolate Chip Cookies on arrival is always a plus. JP was very helpful with reservations over the phone, which is always the best way to go when making last minute plans! Would we stay there...
Good amenities for a local small hotel/ motel. Everyone that we interacted with was super nice! Rooms are the three star rating. Outlets are non existent especially if you are skiing and need to dry boots or gloves. Paper thin pillows (2 per bed) and mattresses that are starting to sag. But hey the rates are descent and again the people were just really nice.
For the money, great quality!
Nice and cozy hotel with comfortable bed and great rooms. Friendly customer service.
2 complaints:
Doors to bathroom are terribly thin and do not close all the way. Which makes it unsecured.
Second thing is towels. They seem to be a way old and shabby.
The res was awesome. Nice location, great parking space, complimentary breakfast.
We were greeted at the door and checked in by Kat! She was delightful, extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was on the smaller side, but just enough for 3 of us. Very clean and the view of the mountain was beautiful. Breakfast was good, the banana nut muffin was one of the best I have ever had. Price was right and our stay was very nice. Would stay again in a heartbeat! The freshly baked...
we could not have had a better experience! hospitality was amazing.. as soon as we walked in we were greeted on a first name basis by multiple staff members and made to feel at home.. they were exceptionally welcoming to our puppy. our room was clean and cozy with a fireplace and nice view of Killington Mountain. We had dinner outside at the distillery and wow... amazing drinks & farm-to-table meals...

Amenities galore. This place is the ideal location for a ski trip with your friends or family. When you pull up there is an overhang for unloading incase of heavy snow (or rain). (10) Complementary BOOT DRYERS. The great room is huge and is where the delicious free breakfast is served. Fire was roaring as soon as we arrived was going every day. The GAME ROOM in the basement was a huge bonus. I've never...
My experience with Trailside Inn was so delightful, I'm not even sure how to start describing it. In the summer of 2021 my (then) fiancé and I were somewhat frantically searching for a wedding venue. We wanted a place where we would be able to host most if not all of our family and friends because the most important thing was that we were able to relax and connect with our guests. It was on a rainy...
Really beautiful place! The wood features in the room and throughout the venue is from an architectural dream! The staff was very friendly and were sure to help with any questions about the town and the scenic hikes! Definitely recommend to have an event here! Very accommodating and absolutely one of the wonders of the world! It was really great to sit outside and enjoy the nature during your morning...
Went here for a wedding. The place itself was wonderful and cozy. The drive through Vermont to get to the place was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it, especially in the winter. Great place for a ski trip.
One of the best weekends of my life. Had a wedding here, and the owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
If you're considering an event here, you should immeadiately choose Trailside for it. I could not possibly be happier with how everything turned out, and will make a point to return during ski season for more of the same environment.
Solid Vermont Inn with fantastic staff. Good value. If you are a light sleeper, recommend something to drown out ambient noise from other guests. We'll be back.

It reminded us of younger days when we would go skiing in the mountains. Definitely furnished for skiers.
We stayed here based on the positive reviews and the breakfast offered!
Cozy Inn and had such charm! Beds were comfortable and the place was well maintained. Would definitely stay here again!
We came during the foliage season, many hotels around are fully booked and left us no choice but to book this 2* inn, It turned out a very happy experience. The room is big, the staff, everyone, is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is acceptable with many choices, though the space is little. Overall, we had a very good rest here.
We waited to find a place to stay and come cross this lovely Inn. The decor and atmosphere was warm and cozy. Lots of local touches to admire, it has a gift too. The beds slept well and staff were friendly. We had a wonderful conversation with a few the guest and staff. We will come again.
We stayed there for 2 nights. This place is very well decorated in a Victorian theme. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Steve which i think is the owner is very attentive to his guests. They serve simple breakfast in the dining area. Very comfortable cozy place. We will definitely stay there again.
This is our "go-to" stay while in Killington and have been there in the past. We love it and the breakfast items are a genuine treat. There's a beautiful trail with a clear stream behind the hotel. Couldn't ask for anything more. We will stay again.

We’ll definitely be coming back. This is a true bed and breakfast experience. Bill and Mary have created a warm, inviting, well appointed and extremely comfortable place that feels like home away from home. Food is excellent. Don’t hesitate to spend your time here, be it for a stay or just for dinner. Can’t go wrong!
When we arrived we were greeted by Bill. He is very helpful and friendly and walks you to your room and goes over everything. He gives you recommendations for restaurants to go to. We stayed in this inn several times in the past when our son was a young kid. We loved it, especially the full breakfast included in the price. We wanted to book this inn again for our upcoming trip in March. However, our son is a big boy now and he needs a separate bed from us. We very much enjoyed our stay at this quaint family run location and both Bill and Mary made us feel very welcome. Rooms were nice and clean, and the common areas were very cozy with a roaring fire during the cold winter nights. The location was perfect, less than a mile from Killington and only a few miles from Pico mountain. The on-site restaurant was excellent with world-class food.

Wonderful cozy stay here for the Spartan beast weekend! Bill and Mary were delightful hosts and so sweetly accommodated our early morning breakfast for the race. The room and location was great and the homemade breakfast was fantastic! Can’t wait to stay again when we’re back in the area.

Great place in a beautiful location. Mike and Barb were very friendly and welcoming and cooked us a delicious breakfast
One of the nicest places I’ve stayed at in a long time, probably ever, this property is beautifully remote surrounded by trees and mountains and pure nature, the faint sounds of birds in the morning and the absolutely stunning night sky are enough to impress but it only gets better. Wow what a wonderful experience. I cannot speak highly enough of this bed and breakfast. Very friendly and courteous hosts. Excellent homemade breakfast. The owners are super nice and interesting people.. And the morning coffee, fresh roasted beans and absolutely delicious because the also own Killington Coffee Roasters.
Nice convenient motel located close to Killington ski resort. They served muffins and coffee in the morning. Unfortunately it looks like the owners are looking to sell. I would stay here again if I was ever looking for somewhere to stay near Killington since it was affordable and close to the mountain. No complaints. Thank you.
The hosts are very nice, friendly, and accommodating people. I asked for late check-in even though they don't offer it because we were cutting it close with our driving and departure time, and they decided to make an exception for us! Fortunately, we arrived just in time. They also roast and brew their own coffee and have a variety of great coffees for sale.

The Killington Motel may appear unassuming from the outside, but it’s retro charm only lends itself to the experience. The lobby felt incredibly welcoming and homey which was very reassuring. I love this place. It’s clean, affordable and in the middle of everything. The owner/hostess makes you feel like you’re a family guest, not just a customer. The big fireplace and cozy great room are wonderful after a day on the cold slopes.
The rooms are pretty much run of the mill two beds and some space. Everything was clean, and the towels, pillows and all of the linen were upgraded and better than expected.

Vastly improved over my last visit (which was probably 8-10 years ago). Staff is friendly & helpful, hot breakfast was included, accommodations adequate with relaxing indoor open space/common area, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Only gave 4stars for room which could have been more thoroughly cleaned. We will be back!
I enjoyed my stay. The guy at the front desk offered to give me a tour of the place when I checked in. It's perfect for skiers and borders. There is a tuning room. There are comfortable, common areas to hang out, watch TV, etc. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Having breakfast is a real bonus! I will stay here again and would recommend it to others.
A place clearly designed for skiers who are more interested in the slopes than accommodations. The rooms are basic with few amenities, flimsy doors, thin walls and ancient furniture. On the plus side, prices are low, the free breakfast is great, and the common areas are warm and inviting. Less tangible, the Inn has a welcoming vibe--people chatting on the porch, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere
I was very impressed with this place. Very inexpensive compared to other places in the area. And yet the room was very big with a huge bathroom. And they just upgraded the rooms. The breakfast was perfect. Had everything that I eat when I'm home, oatmeal eggs yogurt Raisin Bran. And very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place
No complaints! We booked this the day of staying, the bed was comfortable and the bedding smelled so good - very clean! The deluxe rooms have mini fridge, which we appreciated as well. Deluxe rooms also have tubs, which we didn't use but would be nice. My husband is hiking the AT and this was perfect for us. Breakfast is bagels, muffins, donuts, coffee. Not a huge selection but definitely really nice...

Cozy little hotel on Killington Road. Owner is very friendly. Free breakfast in the morning. Yes it is not a 5 star hotel, but at this price, with breakfast, AND it's proximity to the mountain, it's great. The breakfast is really a godsend, for people in hotels (with no kitchens) breakfast can be a pain around here, especially with large groups. It really makes mornings before skiing quick and convenient
We've been staying at Butternut for years and Jim and his friendly staff always exceed expectations! Rooms here are rustic and cozy, and everything is clean and well-maintained. Had a wonderful stay at the Butternut Inn! The rooms are nothing fancy, but are nice a comfortable for up to 4 people (most likely skiiers). But the breakfast was amazing!
Important note, the water out of the taps is soft water, and very hard to drink. If you want normal hard water to drink, there is a water container in the dining area you can fill your water bottle up at. Was a life saver.
First off the breakfast here is really good! The best breakfast included I have ever had at an inn, hotel, or what have you. My wife and I spent four nights here while skiing killington. Very convenient stay. I arrived at 5am and they left the room key at the front desk so I could get to my room. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. There was also a great place in the garage for me to store my bikes, as well as tools to work on them.
It's a great affordable place close to Killington and more importantly for us, the Appalachian Trail. The staff were great, breakfast was high-quality, and the rooms were charming. The hot water in the bathroom takes quite a while to reach the upper floors, but that is a fairly minor complaint.
It’s a beautiful, family style but professional lodge. Caretaker at Breakfast (I think her name was Audrey) is excellent and went an extra step to make my kids comfortable . She specially cut fresh fruits for them when they were being picky. My kids enjoyed puzzles in common area. Good spread at breakfast time. Owners are friendly and they invited us to their July 4th party. I will give 10/10 stars...

Heated pool, sauna, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, play area with lots of games and things to do. Big room for 4 adults and 2 kids, even the sofa bed was comfortable. The view from the room is so lovely in fall, which I did not expect. Overall the hotel was very lovely and cozy. Would love to come back.
Rooms clean, very hot in the room and hard to reach air conditioner. Good service, and I thought the addition of a family room was very nice. The pool was amazing. If you need a snack from their little shop it's also relatively well priced. Overall a very nice stay.
Always a great go-to spot on the access road. Never had a bad time. Very chill environment bar upstairs, nice big Vermont fire place in lobby.
Awesome customer service!!! We had booked a basic room due to budget but then called to see what kind of rate we could get for a king suite and they by far gave is an amazing deal. The staff is very friendly and the room was beautiful. This is our favorite little get away. Very nice heated pool. The room has a nice big jacuzzi tubing it beds very comfortable the room very cozy!!
Slightly dated hotel and room, and the beds are noisy but everything was working when we went and the staff was nice, polite and accommodating. Pool was between 102 and 105 when we were there which was fantastic. The gym was better than you would expect. The restaurant was not open but the bar is open on weekends. Overall, North Star was a really nice stay. Thank you!
The room was nice, however the furniture in the room was not cleaned and the dishes had to be cleaned before we could use them.
