Galt House Hotel, A Trademark Collection Hotel

All the people working here are great! The reason I would not come back is because of the amount of chemical smell in the lobby. That is very hard to walk into, and I would not think it is healthy for the staff at all. It doesn’t even smell like the kind of fragrance you would want to keep things fresh. I honestly could not wait to get out of that atmosphere! The rooms themselves are not super nice…I had no view at all and really, really dirty windows. The mattress had a visible sag. All in all, I think this place could be really nice, and they have a talented staff, but it’s in need of some care in terms of the rooms and open space.

Planned a getaway for me and my wife for our anniversary as we love Louisville and always have great time in the city!!!!! Stayed at hotel this weekend, service was unfriendly and actually no help whatsoever!!!! There were no carts to move luggage, asked valet and answer was short and no help!!!! Spoke to front desk and they were no help also and very short!!!!! Love the atmosphere which is why we stayed there but never again.... I travel to Louisville often for work and other events and couldn't be more disappointed in a hotel. We were put in west tower and nobody was working at front desk or in lobby!!!! Which meant you had to go to east tower to talk with anyone. Parking was inconvenient and difficult to get to which I could deal with but the service and unhappy staff is what got us. Bedding was like laying in paper and uncomfortable. For expense and reviews I expected way more and to top it off I am a Wyndham reward member and they did not put it on my account. We were there for a quick fun anniversary trip and we're taken back by quality of service.

Not worth the money. From the moment we checked in, I knew it wouldn't be a good stay. The customer service representative who checked us in did not attempt to explain the property. We asked for a luggage cart, and she said, “they are across the street.” We asked about parking, and she couldn’t explain that either. The rooms were pretty clean. Don’t turn on the TV; you might get five stations. Granted, the bars and restaurants that are on the property are lovely. I feel that $1000 for two nights is not worth that type of money to stay here. There are a lot of nicer new hotels in the area that would probably appreciate you staying with them.
