Galt House Hotel, A Trademark Collection Hotel, Louisville1 / 25

Louisville, 140 North 4th Street 🧭 Map
This was a really nice hotel. The lobby was super nice. You can tell it’s an older hotel. It had an old city hotel feel but kept up to date. Glass elevators that go up through the main lobby. The hotel is separated. It has two main buildings that are connected by a walkway between the two buildings. I believe the one building is the original hotel and the second building where the lobby is located...
The hotel is very beautiful and elegant, but the room itself was pretty basic. We expected more from the room. It is in a great location and the amenities that it does have to offer is very great. The one restaurant inside that serves the pizza was not good. Service was good but food was not but the hotel overall is very beautiful and in a good location for visiting Louisville.
We stayed in the East Tower - suite. Rooms were a great size! Location was perfect!!! We were able to walk everywhere. Front desk was a bit eh. And while the rooms were nice they were great. Now! The valet staff were top notch amazing!! Nick and Chance were especially fantastic. 100 times over recommend using their valet services.
The location was superb. Right in the middle of everything. Good in walking distance. Great murals painted everywhere.
Stayed 3 nights, each day they cleaned the room, fresh towels. TV wasn't working they fixed quickly. Staff all very nice as well. Walking distance to everything downtown and nice bars, restraunts in house as well. Only down side was the additional 30.00 daily parking. Did also appreciate the added security of needing the room key to access elevator. Wish we would of upgraded to room with a view. Ate...
This hotel is bar none, my absolute favorite and I was so sad to leave. We booked a 2 bedroom suite with private balcony in the east tower. The view of the Ohio River was spectacular. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was super friendly. Gerard, our bellhop, was so welcoming. We stayed here 9/2-9/4. The valet service was worth every penny and not a single hotel worker expected a tip, but was gracious...

The hotel is conveniently located across from the convention center; there’s even an enclosed walkway to utilize in bad weather. The rooms are updated, clean, and spacious. I was disappointed they didn’t offer breakfast included. There is a restaurant and a coffee shop in the lobby. There’s also a club Marriott on the ground floor.
I'm checking out later today. My plane got me in early and they were able to graciously offer me an early check-in. The professional who checked me in was also able to give me a quick checklist of sites that are walkable in between my conference sessions. The hotel room was the cleanest I've ever seen. I always check when I first enter a hotel room and the housekeeping staff are really exceptional...
I have had a great stay at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. Here for a three-night work trip. Service has been stellar. I am particularly impressed with the folks in the concierge/l lounge/M Club and with the valet staff. In particular, Briana on the valet team was a delightful person and very helpful! Would definitely return and stay here.
The hotel was beautiful! Our room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a nice view of the river. The staff was friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We went out to eat a couple of times at some great restaurants that were within a 10-minute walk. The M Club was nice, but we were frequently hounded about membership access, even though we had already paid for it.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Louisville Marriott Downtown Hotel, and "pleasure" doesn’t even begin to describe our experience. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were warmly greeted by every staff member we encountered. The front desk team, including the manager Oliver Jenks, made us feel incredibly welcome, enhancing our joy by acknowledging our anniversary with heartfelt...
Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any resort. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down. Rare 5 of 5 for me. Very nice, and updated hotel. Check...

Louisville, 335 West Broadway 🧭 Map
We are frequent guests at The Brown, always outstanding in every way. I have ordered the scallops many times in past dining, always amazing. My meal last night was rather disappointing, the Scallops were gritty like pieces of sand on them—My friend’s Scallops were as well. I feel they also needed a risotto or some sort of starch side with the Scallops, I was not able to eat the mushrooms served...
Perfect location for exploring Louisville. Beautiful historical hotel on the main drag! Easy to walk to restaurants. Rooms need some updating, but they are kept to the historic period. Beds are comfortable. Love the friendly valet service, especially Mahid. Margaret B at the front desk was so helpful and professional. We enjoyed our stay. Ice view from the rooftop.
We had an exceptional stay this past weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The checking process was quick and easy and the front desk was wonderful and I love that they acknowledged and gave me my iprefer member benefits! Room was nice, clean and spacious. Very quiet and no issues with noise. Would like to have a refrigerator in the room or at least...
Had a great dining experience while visiting today. Our serving staff was amazing and made for a great dining experience. Kris was a wonderful host with the best sense of humor. Harold was a pleasure with his quick wit and easy charisma. The hot Brown was a very good dinner and we will definitely be back when we visit again
Very helpful staff, the place was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I took an unguided tour, even played a couple of games of chess. The room was spacious so was the bathroom. We were greeted promptly and also given ideas for dinner if we decided to venture off. The only downside was the bed. Felt like we sleeping on the floor. Like literally that hard.
This hotel is the perfect blend of sophisticated elegance and modern convenience. A difficult task that the Brown has achieved. From the moment i walked into the door I was captivated by its architecture and history not to mention the piano playing softly in the background. Our room was clean comfortable and well appointed. Our dinner was superb and our server Kris was excellent. The staff was warm...

Location Location location. The hotel is located downtown with ample food and entertainment options within a short distance. Lobby has plenty of games and seating with a nice bar/restaurant. Staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are average and being on lower floors can be very noisy. Valet parking is expensive but well worth it.
Great location to everything Louisville! The rooms were clean and quiet! The food and bar was perfect. But the service was beyond spectacular! Tyler is a gem in the service industry, she made us feel at home. Keep it up!
Location is excellent on Whiskey Row, easy walk to multiple restaurants, bars and distilleries. Beautiful, modern lobby and lobby bar. Easy check in, valet service was great. Front deak never acknowledged when turning in keys at checkout and mumbled something when requested valet at checkout. odd fellow Room 501 was a unique setup, very clean, lots of space but small bath/shower. Ice machine...
One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Aloft is centrally located in town and has lots of things to do close by. It’s a very short walk from Waterfront park and the Big Four Bridge. It’s a lot to be desired for as far as having a river view or even a city view but that is the only thing negative I can say. The staff is very friendly and professional and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable
Great hotel, nice grown vibe. Location is great. Being originally from Louisville, it was a great place to stay and be able to walk around downtown. Huge plus that there was a White Castle right across the street! Davon the front desk rep that work over night the weekend we were there ( funk fest), was the best. His customer service and can/will do attitude would have made even the worst stay still...
I came to Louisville for a wedding on Sept 3rd and stayed at the Aloft for 2 nights. The location was great and everyone that worked there was so nice. I especially had the pleasure of meeting one of the Guest Service Members, Kimberly Andrews. A little off the beaten path, but outstanding design touches. It just made me relax to know I was somewhere safe, where the service was excellent, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The 44 foot pool was fab, it's rare to find a hotel where you can lap swim comfortably. The restaurant was convenient and had a good menu. But, overall, I was so relieved to find such a nice hotel after spending...
The beds are super comfy, but the rooms are slightly outdated and need better housekeeping—lots of marks on the walls, dust in the bathroom, etc. The lobby is the star of the hotel and is absolutely beautiful, but that’s where the glamour stops. If there’s a conference, parking can become a real challenge. Although decent for one night, I would not come back here. Shocked that AAA gave this a four...
I had a great stay at the Marriott East. The cleanliness of the hotel was great from rooms to public areas. I used their meeting room space for a meeting and they had an excellent partner for audio visuals , they were very professional, customer service oriented and very proactive with our needs during our event, overall a great business experience for our group. Highly recommend.
Stayed at this Marriott a number of times during business trips to the area. The hotel has a vip lounge that can be used free of charge by Marriott loyalty program customers. It’s well stocked with snacks, throughout the day and offers great breakfasts and decent appetizer selection in the evening. The rooms are just okay. I typically do little floor tile sweep when I get into the room to get rid of...
The hotel is beautiful inside and outside. The beds were so amazing I was trying to find a way to smuggle the mattress and boxsprings out to taken them home. Lol. The food was really delicious. I loved that check in, room key and check out was all on my phone with the Marriott app. Overall a great experience and incredible night's sleep.
We stay a weekend every year for a company function, and it is always clean and comfortable. Only downside was this year I left a dress behind. After several phone calls and promises I still don’t have my dress back a month later.

Excellent facilities, clean and decent location. Decent breakfast too. The beds in particular were incredibly comfortable.
First time passing through Louisville, I will come back to see the area and to stay here specifically. The lobby is clean and inviting, friendly service even at a later hour. The room was easy to access; also very clean and stylish. Slept great after a long day and couldn’t be happier to have stayed.
We had a good experience, although we didn't spend much time at the hotel. We dropped our stuff off before dinner and then went to the Jack O Lantern Spectacular, so we really only were there to sleep and eat breakfast. The breakfast was your typical continental breakfast, but was yummy. I would consider staying here again. The staff was all very friendly throughout our stay. My only complaint would...
I’ve travelled a ton and have stayed in a lot of hotels but I had never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express until this weekend. Might I say, I was fairly impressed. Check in was easy and the receptionist was sweet and helpful. The room was very spacious and had all the necessities. Fridge, microwave, nice bed, and nice view. The location was awesome. Easy access to the interstate. Having to use your room...
It’s peaceful, and the food’s alright. However, room I stayed in (303) smelled like feet or cheese or something. Either way, the smell was unpleasant. The towels didn’t smell totally clean, and there was some fuzz on them. I didn’t expect them to smell super aromatic or anything, but the smell was a bit off. Also, on the first night the bed made me all itchy.
We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast ample and very good. Reception Staff very friendly and helpful. Could do an easy walk to Downtown and our car was safely parked in the secure parking garage

FYI if you have kids: stay to the left or to the right after you walk through the front entry and the kids will love the exhibits there. Especially the interactive art and the puffing smoke piece. But, if you go down the stairs, some of the art has nudity. If you have kids, and your not prepared for it, it can cause a conversation. Otherwise…this is a fantastic and free experience I’m the heart of...
We had an incredible time at this hotel. My daughter and I spent an entire week there and loved it. The staff was super friendly and exceptionally accommodating. The rooms were very cozy, the beds were extra comfy, the bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed (my daughter disagrees with me, but I think the lighting could be a bit brighter in the bathrooms). That is my only negative.
Truly felt like a home away from home. Thoughtful, friendly and pleasant staff. Arthur, the valet was awesome for service but also as a local sharing his knowledge to an out of towner. Front desk was prompt and courteous. The aesthetic overall was amazing. Proof on Main was a treat to dine in as well. Y'all know how to spoil a guest! Thank you again!
I had such a wonderful stay here! From the kind valets that greeted us outside, our quick and friendly check-in with Emily, our room, dinner, and everything in-between! Very cool museum. Took my 2yo as part of the cultural pass program. Guided tour was great. And the museum is a nice size - enough different things to look at but not too much to lose the attention of the 2yo. He especially loved the pieces that involved video screens.
Art Museum/ restaurant/ bar/ hotel. The art changes frequently and is often very creative and iconic. The art can range from massive sculptures, beautiful paintings, tapestries, and other mediums. I also appreciate how video is included as artistic media, and how many of the creative elements feature taboo or highly controversial social issues. This place is free and open to the public at all hours...

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were passing through town. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at while traveling this was the nicest and cleanest. It is located in a nice area, up-to-date, good price, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and visit again next time we are passing through town.
Quiet location away from main roads. Room size was great. I always check for bedbugs.. there were non, but lots of dead bugs and body hair on box springs. The front desk was always great. No problem besides maid trying to walk in room without knocking.. . (My fiance was sitting on couch in boxers playing Xbox while I was at work)
Stayed for a single night passing through town. The front desk staff was very friendly and got me checked in fast. Hotel was very dated and the air conditioner didn't seem to follow the thermostat. Beds were comfortable. Everything seemed cleaned but dirty at the same time... I think that's just because of the carpet, layout, and age of the furnishings. Oh and lots of empty beverage cans when we rolled...
We originally booked a different hotel in Louisville and had a terrible experience, checking out 5 min after checking in. We can to Springhill a bit defeated and on the first day of vacation. Great stay! Great location! Very hospitable staff. This was our first trip and will definitely be returning. Couldn’t ask for a better pool area. Heated water as well as the ceiling heat is a great plus. Lifeguards were awesome with the kids. Met a few “regulars” during our stay and they were just as accommodating as the staff. Clean rooms with amenities as described.
Fantastic indoor pool and hot tub. Comfortable room with very large bed. And on a Saturday night, the jazz club that's downstairs was packed and had live music. Overall had an awesome stay. No microwave in room though. There was a fridge.
This is one of my fave hotels! The rooms are updated, featuring a comfy chair, cute decor and a convenient fridge. Staff is amazing and gives the best service. So friendly! The property is always spotless. I like the old-school feel of these types of places, back in the day they knew how to design hotels better, I think. Dated, but comfortable. Despite having made an online reservation with a confirmation number, they could not find our reservation when we arrived. The location is great (right by the highway and close to restaurants/shopping). The rooms are a little dated, the bathroom is very small but the shower head and water pressure is fantastic and the water is hot. Fantastic Service! Room was very clean and smelled good as well. Staff on Front desk was Welcoming and Friendly. Staff in Breakfast Cafe was very helpful too. Enjoyed our stay here.
I stayed at the Louisville Kentucky Holiday Inn. First time visiting Louisville. I was there for a wedding. The hotel was nice and clean. Comfy beds. The breakfast was great. Never had it like that in a Holiday Inn. Great location. Close to airport downtown and other places. All said reason for 3 stars the staff was not very friendly. They need to brush up on customer service 😒
Overall nice hotel. No issues with the room or wifi. The reason for the low star is they were nearly impossible to reach over the phone. And once we got to the hotel it took them a good 15 min to find us rooms. They seemed very disorganized and understaffed. The van driver also left us in the morning because he thought he had everyone when we had signed up for the airport shuttle the night before so...
Rooms were very clean and neat for the price. Nice central location but not too close to downtown. Incident with the alarms going off and it could've been more organized but other than that, nice stay.

The guy behind the counter was simply amazing. I got stranded an hour away from home with a flat tire and they were more than willing to help and even offer a discount. The rooms are not bad. They are not dirty. They have a cute little tv and mini fridge
First place we stopped and with no hassle and no hidden fees, we had room key cards in hand and were in the room in no time. Keenan at the front desk made it so smooth and easy for us, he deserves 2 really big thumbs up for professionalism and excellent customer service!!! I highly recommend this place if you're on a small budget.the convenience holds its value
Crummy motel room, affordable with really nice staff. The rooms aren't the best but they're a place to shower and sleep. The tub didn't drain but management said they were going to handle it. Honestly if you have something to do in Louisville this place isn't the worst. It's close to Starbucks and a bunch of restaurants and like I said it's affordable and the staff was amazing.
The guy working there was very good in managing and handling things/concerns. Good customer service!! The amenities provided at Red Carpet Inn is good, but more priority needs to be given to the cleanliness. Apart from bed bugs, didn't have any other complaints.
Listen, this place is cheap, so it'll feel really cheap. Cost me a little over sixty bucks for a night and the place was kinda shady, smelled weird, had scratches on the mirror and cigarette burns in the blankets. But the staff is nice. So that's cool.
I ordered a two bed, ground floor for 2 handicapped guests room. I got a single bed in a heavy smokers room. The night shift person corrected the error and gave us a very clean, updated, smoke free room for handicapped persons. The area looks to be a bit sketchy. The regular room was very smokey and very out dated.

Wonderful. Very clean facility. Staff are phenomenal! Didn't get to ask for anything because everything was already provided. Very friendly and helpful personnel working the front desk. Best experience with a hotel in a long time.
Love the rooms. Great efficient kitchens and plenty of kitchen amenities.. The girl that does the check-ins is very polite. I will return.
I love this place! It's the only place in Louisville I'll stay at! I love Josh, Devrah and Tara! They are the best! They welcome me in like family!
There is nothing wrong with the hotel; however, there are many areas they can improve upon. We had a queen suite and noted the following: The bathrooms need an exhaust fan and towel rack, the beds need end tables on both sides, there need to be electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, and the hotel was full so we could not get extra pillows. Most are small details. We enjoyed our stay

The location was right where we wanted compared to where we were going. The neighborhood was not so great. Nice location and the room was decent. Only complaints I have are with the heating system and the bed. We set the thermostat to 72 degrees and it really never got warm in the room, even the air blowing out was cool air. The bed was a big king sized one, it just wasn't very comfortable. Oh my, what a lovely romantic little room with a shower stall 2 feet from one of the most comfortable beds I've ever seen in a hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. And I hope I can stay there again sometime soon.
This Hampton deserves every accolade it receives, beginning with Mgr Yolanda and Front Desk Betty. Both went out of their way to find a room to accommodate my painful mobility issues. We had a great experience at this place. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We stayed for a night and were impressed with the cleanliness and the amenities available. If you plan to be in the area, this place is close to the airport, zoo and many other attractions and a good place for both short and long term stay.
The little accommodations were nice. However, no hot water and shampoo for my friend who stayed here in a different room.
Secured doors after 8pm is great security feature. Staff is excellent, very professional. Rooms are very professionally designed with the business person in mind but still able to accommodate the family atmosphere and great appeal. 5 star hands down.
Nice little Candlewood, extremely over priced and not updated. Recently stayed here for a night and all of the laundry equipment was working. If I remember correctly they have at least 4 washers and several more dryers and all free of charge. Small gym but at least they have weights and a bench. Friendly staff too.

They tried to tell me that I had to pay $100 room deposit fee when I got there and that was not mentioned...
My daughter and I stayed one night here and for the price it was nice. We were on the top floor and the very end of the hall so we didn’t hear a thing and slept very well. The bed was comfy but it was disappointing that they gave us 4 small sofa size pillows for a king size bed. My daughter wanted to swim but the pool was as hot as a hot tub and so cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom 🤮 Overall...
Staff is extra helpful. Been stuck here for awhile cause my truck broke down and it's been okay cause the breakfast is good along with rooms being really nice. Had my family down to visit...such a family friendly place.
No alcohol on premises. No shuttle to get alcohol when you are on a five day bus trip. Good chocolate chip cookies! Kevin was friendly and helpful at the front desk. Sink was cracked and door lock was loose, but the room was clean and the beds we're comfortable.
The breakfast (eggs) are not g cooked thoroughly, it takes a few minutes to get service at the front desk because of work being done. But overall it's a pleasant place.

This hotel has a cool decor vibe. Almost a speak easy feel. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. This location is a bit of a stretch if you want to walk anywhere. Also felt like it is a bit on the cautionary edge of safety for some. It kinda sits out on its own without much else going on neat it. The alley to the parking area had lights on the wall but they weren't working. I hope...
This hotel was incredible. Staff was phenomenal, rooms are so romantic, best place I have ever stayed. Something different and I absolutely loved every minute.
Amazing spot! If you don't understand what a boutique hotel is don't illustrate that in a poor rating. No, there is no fridge, there is no microwave... don't bring leftovers from your Applebee's dinner. Come here for the amazing vision, top quality furnishings, staff, and ambiance. The location is great! It's Louisville, nothing is far. The staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms are gorgeous and...
I enjoyed most of my experience. Parking was a little tight. Could use another area in room for a chair. The shower in the studio room waz odd. I felt on display. I can't complain. The service was exceptional, location, price, welcoming feel, wow. I couldn't ask for much more. A boutique hotel.
The Hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The check in was a little rough because there was one lady that had to work the bar and the front desk and it made it difficult for her to be attentive and any customer. The heat and a/c unit is not very user friendly. No mini-fridge or micro wave in the room and you have to get your ice from the front desk because they do not have ice machines...

The evening staff is amazing. The lady at the bar and front desk is so friendly and helpful. She made a great day better. Nice to have a bar and we were able to take a glass of wine up to the room. Breakfast is very good
I was very happily surprised. Breakfast was late but there was only 1 man for setup. The portable frigerator had a loud buzz;management said they would check it after I checked out.
Was pleasantly surprised! The location was easy to get to! Wasn’t in a bad area of Louisville either. I bring a blacklight with me. Let me tell you the rooms were spotless. I rented two rooms. One for myself and one for my mother and father. The rooms were up to date and very well cleaned. The gentleman at the front desk was so nice when we checked in and then a different gentleman was there when we...
Highly recommend. Shannon was very welcoming and helpful during check in and check out. My room and everything in it was clean and comfortable. 10 minutes from the Exposition Center. I will be staying here again. Thank you to all the staff for a great stay.
There are better places, but it's fine by the price! One bad thing.. in breakfast they there isn't eggs...
