Best Western Plus Lubbock Windsor Inn

The AC in the rooms were not working, we had 2 separate rooms on two separate floors and both rooms had the same issues. The room was supposed to be smoke free but smelled like cigarettes. The curtains did not fit right there for a let in a ton of light all night. This picture was taken at 12:30am.

Ac didnt work. Geout from the tiles in the entry and bathroom is loose and gritty on the floor, foot n hand prints on the window and mirror of the room. The pool was cold and the room smelled of algae and mold. The water wasnt a bit clear and didnt smell clean one bit. We literally spent 15 minutes here and decided to leave and find another hotel. The lady at the desk was at least nice

I would not recommend this hotel. The registration process was inefficient and frustrating. They sent an email requesting pre-registration information, such as a picture of your license, car make, model, and tag, but when we got there, they asked again for the same information.
The room's Air conditioner did not work well. It constantly cuts on and off, making it hard to sleep due to the noise and warm temperature. The shower head did not work well. The bathroom floor tiles were loose. The beds were uncomfortable. A light was outside the window, but the blinds were not good enough to block the light. The breakfast was lacking and disappointing. It was not at all a pleasant experience.

Our room at this hotel was filthy. The floor hadn't been cleaned in what seemed like several different guests- there was lots of hair and dried food on the floor. The sheets were clean, I think, but they had black stains on them. The towels seemed to be clean as well. The area was not nice- we were approached upon arrival by a man trying to persuade us to drive him to a laundromat. We will not stay here again.

Location is great and easy to get to. However, our AC wasn't working, there was a big beetle crawling on the wall, and our toliet wouldn't flush. We went to the pool which was small but cool water. However the hot tub wasn't working.

The Hispanic woman who worked the morning shift was very nice. Free breakfast was decent.

This building needs some major work.

If 0 stars was an option, I would give it that. Checked in to this "Best Western", it seems a little outdated at first glance but we walk down to our room and we hear a dog barking really loudly next door. We enter the room (1st floor) and immediately there's a VERY strong chemical/pet smell, the room didn't look like the pictures online and the dog could still be heard through the walls. This room was probably one of the worst we've seen in years, so we decide to leave and find other accommodations. When I returned to the front desk 10-15 minutes after arriving and inform the guy at the front desk of the situation, he offered a different room but I politely declined. He then asked if we had used the room and said that I'd need to speak to a manager if I wanted a refund, but there is a "two night minimum" so it wasn't likely. I never saw anything about a 2 night minimum when I booked it, and I've never stayed somewhere that was as poorly represented as this place. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! We found a much nicer place for LESS in a better location.

Room and whirlpool tub were nice, but, being a member of AAA and giving them my card at check in they said we would get a discount. Not only did they not give us a discount we also had to get the cards re entered twice because they would not work. The breakfast the next morning left a lot to be desired. Not bad food, just the lack of. They seemed to be out of everything from juice to eggs. Strange since we went in about 30 minutes after it opened. Definitely will be contacting AAA.
