Amazing b&b! The rooms are great (very comfortable sheets, updated bathroom fixtures, King size bed, etc) and very tasty breakfast. Only comment would be to people who are picky about food; you don't order your breakfast. so if you want something different, talk to the manager and they will accommodate.

There are positive and negatives to this B&B. It is a beautiful home situated in a quaint, lovely town on the water that is in walking distance to the B&B. We loved the downtown and harbor area. We were there two nights. The second morning's breakfast was fabulous with amazing French toast....best we have ever had. The down side of the B&B would be the room's temperature, You couldn't control it from inside the room. During the day it was too hot and at night it was too cold. To remedy the cold at night, they told us how to turn the gas logs on in the room to warm it up.. But when it was too hot, there was no remedy. We walked downtown the second morning to get good coffee because the B&B's coffee was not good...you would expect at a B&B of this distinction to have good coffee. We would like to go back and stay in Manteo but would probably not choose this inn because of the price we paid which was over $700 with taxes for two nights.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, on a road trip following a wedding nearby. We cannot say enough great things about this B&B!! Megan and all of the staff were SO friendly and welcoming. The space is just beautiful and so clean, and has old-fashioned charm. The 4-course breakfast was incredible both mornings we were able to enjoy it. The smallest touches like the afternoon snacks, coffee machine, and the cozy fireplace in our room just added to the experience. The grounds are also beautiful, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the landscaping. We loved it here, and definitely plan to return!!

The White Doe Inn is the nicest to bed and breakfast we've ever stayed in. Landon and Megan were lovely, helpful and friendly. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with a fireplace and a clawfoot tub. The breakfast was delicious.
But what I like most of all was the attention to detail. When we arrived, we were told where beer, wine, water and homemade ice cream sandwiches were. There were delicious brownies waiting for us. White Doe is the most generous B & B in which we've ever stayed. We really can't wait to return.

The White Doe Inn is absolutely beautiful and the people who work there are friendly and ensure each guest has a wonderful experience. They go above and beyond with special touches like soft drinks and coffee available anytime, fresh baked goods on arrival, homemade ice cream in the evening and complementary wine in the afternoon. Each room is well appointed, comfortable and distinctive in style. Plus, there are private patios and sitting areas with each room and quiet areas throughout the property to relax and enjoy downtime. We are repeat guests at the inn and look forward to our next visit knowing it too will be special.

The White Doe Inn exudes all of the charm and hospitality one expects in the South. Our wonderful experience started before we even got there with texts and phone calls to prepare for our arrival. We checked in after hours but a delicious snack was waiting for us. The room was lovely with a two-sided fireplace, a jetted soaking tub and a very comfortable bed not to mention charming decor. Breakfasts were tasty and served on the beautiful patio with abundant flowers. Coffee and incredible homemade ice cream sandwiches (so good!) are available all day. It is close enough to the beach and shopping while still being secluded. Liz, Meagan and Topenga are excellent hosts and always cheerful. The fact that dogs and children are welcome is a huge plus! Thank you for making our anniversary and vacation so memorable! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had our elopement in the garden at the White Doe Inn, and we stayed at the bed and breakfast for 2 nights. Our parents also stayed at the inn and could not stop raving about it. It's such a lovely historic home with many adorable places around the property to relax and take in the surrounding nature. The Innkeeper, Liz, and all of the staff are amazing! They go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful time. With Liz's help, the wedding planning process and our ceremony were stress free. Everything was perfect! The White Doe Inn provides immaculate rooms with beautiful decor, delicious breakfast and afternoon treats, an afternoon happy hour, and many add ons/indulgences to choose from to make your stay magical. We could not have asked for more. We will definitely be returning to celebrate many future wedding anniversaries!
