Cameron House Inn
Manteo, 300 Budleigh Street 🧭 Map
What a beautiful place. We came out to Manteo for a friend's wedding, and I found this little gem. The room was beautiful, everything was peaceful and quiet, there was a fire built on the back deck and there were little goodies everywhere. I woke up to the smell of amazing cooking and it felt like i was at grandmas house. There's also 4 or 5 really friendly cats who hang out with you out back which...
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Cameron House. I called early due to a scheduling restriction and was helped immensely by the owner. I am so thankful to have had such a warm welcome even prior to my arrival. That only made my experience on-site that much more "elevated." The rooms were spacious and home-like. The decorum was fitting and comfortable without being too bodacious. Every tone and theme...
What a perfect place for a romantic getaway! My husband and I adored the outdoor fireplace, and little extras like fresh baked cookies really made our stay memorable. The service was exceptional, and our room was wonderful. We couldn't have been happier.
The Cameron House Inn is set in a beautiful historical house steps away from the quaint centre of Manteo. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, the sitting room is the best place to cozy up by the fireplace with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and coffee the Innkeeper Chris prepares daily. The rooms are well appointed, with comfortable mattress and soft linens. The place is all around very cleans...
Wonderful experience. Beautiful location with great hospitality!
Pleasant place in a nice quiet town near Outer Banks. Room was spacious and clean and quiet. The house is cozy and there are nice places to sit outside and inside to enjoy the ambience. Two blocks from the town of Manteo which has nice shops and restaurants and is good for a pleasant stroll. Breakfast was excellent.

-superb villa -wonderful garden -gorgeous breakfast with right selection of ingredients and chef receipt level -great free bicycle ride under tree shadows up to Elisabeth garden
The White Doe Inn is the nicest to bed and breakfast we've ever stayed in. Landon and Megan were lovely, helpful and friendly. Our room was absolutely gorgeous with a fireplace and a clawfoot tub. The breakfast was delicious. But what I like most of all was the attention to detail. When we arrived, we were told where beer, wine, water and homemade ice cream sandwiches were. There were delicious...
The White Doe Inn is absolutely beautiful and the people who work there are friendly and ensure each guest has a wonderful experience. They go above and beyond with special touches like soft drinks and coffee available anytime, fresh baked goods on arrival, homemade ice cream in the evening and complementary wine in the afternoon. Each room is well appointed, comfortable and distinctive in style....
The White Doe Inn exudes all of the charm and hospitality one expects in the South. Our wonderful experience started before we even got there with texts and phone calls to prepare for our arrival. We checked in after hours but a delicious snack was waiting for us. The room was lovely with a two-sided fireplace, a jetted soaking tub and a very comfortable bed not to mention charming decor. Breakfasts...
My husband and I had our elopement in the garden at the White Doe Inn, and we stayed at the bed and breakfast for 2 nights. Our parents also stayed at the inn and could not stop raving about it. It's such a lovely historic home with many adorable places around the property to relax and take in the surrounding nature. The Innkeeper, Liz, and all of the staff are amazing! They go above and beyond to...
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, on a road trip following a wedding nearby. We cannot say enough great things about this B&B!! Megan and all of the staff were SO friendly and welcoming. The space is just beautiful and so clean, and has old-fashioned charm. The 4-course breakfast was incredible both mornings we were able to enjoy it. The smallest touches like the afternoon snacks, coffee machine...

The room was clean. The location was great- there were lots of businesses around within walking distance, yet the area was quiet. The innkeeper was nice.
Perfect Wee spot. Close to the amphitheater for shows (1 mile) . Contactless check in via kiosk. Rooms are quaint and have a sense of history to them. Room was very clean, neat. Loved the place.

It was convenient for us when it came time for us to attend our event. But the day we arrived there was a strong chemical odor in one of the rooms plus hallways. One of our family was so sensitive to it they had sinus issues another headache. But by the next day after we made management aware plus getting another room the odor seem to get better.
I was a little nervous given the reviews I saw online. However, our experience was very different from thiers. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and there wasn't a bug insight. I saw no mold, bug remnants or anything else gross. The trash cans did not have bags. I popped a grocery bag into them and it was no big deal. The staff was also very friendly everytime I went to the desk. The AC worked...
Quiet hotel, very well maintained landscape, nice size room, modern luxuries in vintage hotel, good price, bad water pressure, useless wifi
People were nice. Room was clean and nice
Room is nice and clean. But what I love the most, is the indoor pool. This is my second visit.
Not up to par from our first 2 visits. Usually a great stay. This time for the room we got with repairs needed, peeling paint, can't close bathroom door because its too big or toilet was. Doors hanging badly. Had to lean against with full body weight to get them to close. Not going back.

I booked this hotel because they would let me bring my dog. It was super clean and we had a wonderful experience. It is right on the water and was beautiful. We were there in the off-season January, so there was only a couple of other people in the rooms. I booked a double queen room, which had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc..
We stay here every time we visit. It's cozy, quite and right on the water. It's the cleanest dog-friendly place we've ever stayed at.
I love this place.....dog friendly, great water views (especially at 6am while walking said dog). This is my 3rd stay, and the room I'm in has been nicely upgraded! The close proximity to Jennette's pier is great, along with Fat Boyz Ice cream nearby!! I highly recommend :)
Nice rooms, nobody is at front desk. All check in and check out info is emailed to you beforehand. I didn't realize and was looking for someone when another guess told me. A little weird but I'd stay again. Very convenient location
Would definitely stay there again. Checked in by making a phone call and getting code for electronic lock on door. Room was very clean. Had nice view. There was a dock right out back. Had no issues with other ppl staying there. Was within walking distance of a popular bridge to fish from. Very quiet and relaxing. Fun and Feather gets 2 thumbs up.

So thankful for Oasis Suites! We came to Manteo for a weekend with friends. After driving 4 hours we got a call that our friends were sick & unable to host. Being in a jam, we walked into the Oasis hoping they would have a vacancy. Beverly was able to get us into a very nice room. With two toddlers we were so thankful for such nice amenities. The cooktop in the kitchen was super helpful for my hungry...
As always, it was wonderful. We have stayed several times and it is always a great experience. The staff is gracious and kind. They went out of their way to make room for us.
Lovely hotel, lovely people. Staff was really sweet and personable. We stayed for our honeymoon and there were a few personal touches added that made my heart melt in a good way. Everything was clean and so tastefully decorated. It's not magic, it's just really sweet and homelike and lovely. Keep reasonable expectations, ask for what you need, and enjoy this wonderful little place!
We stayed in 307 and it was everything and more than described. This suite has a large private balcony overlooking the water. There is a separate living room with a couch and a large chair facing a flat screen tv. The kitchen area has a table with two chairs, Kereg, flat top stove, microwave, toaster, full refrigerator, utensils, plates, pots, pans, etc. The king size bed is nestled in its own nook...
Absolutely loved this stay. Rooms were spacious, very clean (including the jacuzzi tub jets!), had an incredible view, away from the overly crowded obx tourist center, service was friendly and accommodating, and it was so easy to relax here. Would 100% come back and stay longer! Stayed in a double queen suite and still had a waterfront view from our balcony (two balconies in the room btw). TV set...

It was ok. It just needs a bit of an upgrade. Somethings needed to be fixed before checking in, like the hot tub. Just felt it was bad business.
Enjoyed the day while visiting family from out of town.
Well kept, close to beaches and shopping
we rent a house from this place every year and we have so much fun they are very friendly if something is wrong as soon as we call they send someone there
The house we rented has a hot tub, pool, three bathrooms and five bedrooms. Its perfect for vacationing with multiple families at once. Also the shopping center is right across the street.

The place had a lot of character and the Staff were very pleasant and helpful. You could tell they love what they do.
Such a sweet weekend getaway! It’s the second time we’ve been here and will definitely return. The happy hour and breakfast were delicious. The whole inn has such a great vibe. Angie was so friendly and helpful. It’s such a quaint inn- beautiful gardens, interesting plants in creative handmade plant boxes, lots of “artsy” touches, and very welcoming atmosphere.
Stayed a couple nights here on a spur of the moment weekend trip to the outer banks with my wife, what a lovely place. Staff were wonderful. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was outstanding, and room rates were very reasonable compared to other places we looked at in the area. They have a very unique old school vibe, that i cant really describe, you just have to come check them out to...
A hidden gem of Nags Head! After staying 2 nights, we considered extending our stay longer. Breakfast was a delight each morning and the hostess was sweet and welcoming. 1940's music made for a back-in-time feel. And there were even amenities we didn't know about. Take a ride on a free bicycle. Follow the path to the beach just for First Colony Inn guests. And don't forget to take with you a free...
My husband and I stayed for an entire week for our wedding anniversary trip and enjoyed every single day. The room was clean and had a very charming vibe. The breakfast was made fresh each morning and was delicious! Snacks from 4pm-5pm was an added bonus. We loved the pool, and was surprised that it was not crowded. The beach access is very easy to use, and also enjoyed the beach chairs/towels that...
Love this historical hotel in the heart of Nags Head, NC. Breakfast room is beautiful, as is our room. It has a porch swing right outside our door. This place , by far, has the most beautiful outdoor space with a large garden, fountain and flowering plants that greet you with their beautiful aroma. Definitely would recommend.

THE STAFF WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND FRIENDLY. THE BREAKFAST ROOM WAS EXCELLENT....VERY CLEAN AND FULLY STOCKED. THE BEDDING.... PILLOWS AND COMFORTER WERE SO COMFY
Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were big and very clean. Easy access to beach. Breakfast was awesome. I will most definitely stay here again.
A great place to stay in Nags Head. We had a top floor room facing the ocean. Wonderful views on the beach, ocean and sunrise. The hotel was clean and everyone was very polite.
I have stayed in my fair share of hotels and was very impressed with this one. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was great in the shower, and breakfast items were varied and well stocked. I didn't use the indoor pool or fitness center, but both looked well cared for when I walked by. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
We love this hotel! The rooms are well-sized and the beds are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are nicely designed and are of a good size. The shower has nice doors, and the towels are easy to access. Also, the hotel breakfast room is clean, bright, and the food offered is hearty and healthy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and especially families.
Thermostat didn't go down past 72 so I had open the window to cool the room down. I woke up to find my room covered in flies (not holiday inns fault though, door was open). I paid for a king sized bed room with an ocean front, only to be treated to a shower, king sized bed and what seems to be a balcony made for one person. I'm not a spoiled person, but when It comes to a beach hotel for my once a...

Wonderful stay at Owen's Motel. Mary at the front desk was so accommodating in our telephone conversations. When she said "I'll call you right back" SHE DID. THANKS! The owner was super friendly. Give them a call.
Have been staying here on and off since the 80s. Family needs to start putting money back into the motel. They only have 1 ice machine for the whole property also we had to move into another room because the one we were in had roaches.
The rooms are old style Nags Head but very clean... The employees are the nicest people ever! The location is wonderful... Right in the middle of anything you could want to get to.
Great stay. Good size room though bathroom is small but all is very clean! Mary at the front desk is exceptional!! Very friendly and accommodating. Her and Kenny (maintenance) both made us feel like we were at home!
Not a Sheraton but who cares! If you’re looking for a clean, nice, friendly place to stay this is the place!! We won’t stay anywhere else!!!
Owen's motel exceeded expectations. For a 2 star motel it was very nice. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It has great heat and ac. We stayed there for a 2 day 1 night fishing trip and will definitely stay there again.

My family had the best time staying here. It’s right across from the beach and pier. A lot of fun things to do. The staff were awesome and catered to our every need. The room was clean and beds comfy. Will definately be back !!!
Spent 2 weeknights here. Decent, clean, small room. Adorable vintage type mini fridge. Hospital quality linens, good bed, clean bathroom. Great restaurant next door, great location. Wifi pretty worthless, would not even load email. Would stay here again. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep or change clothes. We did not spend a lot of time in room, family nearby in condo.
Staff was very friendly. Room was nice.
The service was great and the room was very clean. We had an external cabin room which included a kitchenette. The only thing that could have made this experience better would be stronger water pressure in the showers.
Rodeway Inn & Suites was a great hotel for my situation. The staff was informative and helpful (especially when my room key didn't work at 4am) and the location was perfect for the wedding I attended on the Pier across the street. The room itself had a bit of a dated smell which complimented the 70s era comforter that was on the bed. The room layout was different but not bad and the room also came...

We liked the proximity to the beach and the hotel pool. Laundry facilities came handy. Breakfast was good.
It was off-season, to the staff was not too busy but they were extremely attentive kind and made my stay very welcoming. The view is outstanding because it is right on the water. The off-season prices were very reasonable. At least during off season I highly recommend this as a great place to stay
Access directly to the beach. Balcony three floors up from the sand. Every hotel employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. Hotel and room were clean. No sand spurs in the dog grassy area. Very pleased with our stay!
I've been going to this hotel since I was 15 (now 23) almost every year and I've never had a bad experience here. I absolutely love this hotel for its location, service, and the always kind staff! I was fortunate enough to stay for a weekend in 2020 for my birthday and even with all the protocols they had to follow I still had a blast. I always get an oceanfront room so I can have the door open listening...
The rooms were spotless (my partner even checked with a blacklight and found nothing). Probably one of the cleanest chain hotels I've stayed in. The front desk was super helpful getting me checked in after an unexpected hiccup. Great location on the beach.
Basic, nice place. Basic. It is undergoing renovations and they try VERY hard to take care of the guests. Maid service, very good. Everything was clean. We had a third floor, ocean view and it was wonderful. Breakfast comes with it, but is quite hohum. But I will absolutely stay there again!

The location to the beach was the sole purpose for staying here. Definitely dated and needs some cosmetic repairs. The main problem with the stay was there was no TV available because they told us the cable was out. Honestly this is a problem that could’ve been fixed within an afternoon. No TV for the whole stay was pretty annoying. Several of the outlets needed to be adjusted as they were practically...
The location was great. The rooms are small, but met your basic needs. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. I recommend taking your own pillows being the ones provided are cheap and not very comfortable. The staff are friendly but not on property very much. The housekeeping is virtually non existent after you check in. So plan on emptying your own garbage and taking out your own towels plus...
We really enjoyed staying here. Other than the room needing to be mopped which is why I rated 4/5, the room was clean. The bed was very comfortable! I love the beach access. The pool was very clean! Definitely recommend this place!
I love the Colonial Inn Motel!!! These are the nicest people, from management to housekeeping and maintenance. They will do anything to make your stay the best!
The person at the desk said there was a problem with the room that we had booked and had "upgraded" us. Originally the room had 2 queen beds. So when we were upgraded there was only 1 bed and I slept on a pull out couch. Let me tell you: That had to be the most uncomfortable couch ive ever slept on (And I sleep on them a lot while traveling). You could feel every spring in your back throughout the...
Cozy and tidy and laden with charm. Right by the fishing pier and on the beach, it boasts the best staff. They know the area and proffer on-the-money tips about where to eat and what to do. Highly recommended. The rooms are clean and beds quite comfy.

We've been going to Dunes South for over 30 years. We love it, but it's nothing fancy if that's what you're looking for. Great location, clean, and office staff is very reliable to handle any issues that arise.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are from the many family beach trips we had while staying at our Dune South time share. I love it!
We are staying at one of the homes at this site. The house is great, right on the beach. Wonderful view if the ocean from the dining and living room. Lots of amenities and a place to park our car to keep it out of the sun. Only things keeping it from being 5 stars are the intermittent WiFi service and some issues with the drains in the tubs and sinks. ADDENDUM...Had a great talk with the owner...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable accommodations. Older condos, for the most part, but nicely done. Management is responsive to questions and needs. I have been coming to Dunes since 2005. Great location.. off the main drag but oceanfront.
Stayed in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom unit right on the beach. It was very clean and gorgeous. Loved that the laundry machines were huge and held more than 3 towels. Was surprised there was a small bed loft above the living area my granddaughter loved it. The views were absolutely amazing there was a balcony in the master bedroom and the living room. A great place to stay. Self checkin and good instructions. Clean good rooms and good ac. The plus points being its 2 min from the nags head beach and very accessible. They have a shower out front to wash off all that sand and a good common area. Each room has a jacuzzi as well.
I’ll be honest, I booked the room for two nights before I read the reviews on it and was concerned. However after staying, I was very pleasantly surprised at the reviews I’d read. The place was wonderful. Keyless entry worked like a charm, it was sent out in an email from the inn. There WAS a mini fridge in the room and a microwave at the main entrance. We found this little gem last minute and were not disappointed. The cottage was built in 1930, so the rooms are not what you expect from a new hotel. A lot of the reviews mention that it is small, the bathrooms are not what you expect, etc. because they expected a new hotel. If that is what you want, then this is not for you. It is set up like an Air B&B, so there is no one on site, and you recieve...
It's a cheap place to sleep that is half a block from the beach (you do have to cross a semi busy street. For those with small kids I wouldn't let them cross alone). There are NO amenities.
