Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown, an IHG Hotel
Missoula, 200 South Pattee 🧭 Map
Staff were friendly. Rooms were warm. But I had to ask to have towels refreshed and waste cans emptied
Staying at this location for over a week. Pleasantly surprised by the rooms and the staff. Had some issues checking in due to a 3rd party booking site but the gal at the front desk (her name was Grace) went out of her way to get me checked in and made sure everything was settled properly between the travel agency and the hotel. Grace was helpful and suggested a few local places that were great!! Within...
We loved our stay. With points we were upgraded to a large, very nice room. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to walk to. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially Rose who works Wednesdays at the bar (tip her well).
This specific establishmentis typically our favorite and first choice when staying in Missoula. Which we do often for hockey, concerts, etc. The past 3 stays have been awful. The noise has been horrendous. The cleanliness concerning. The staff less than impressive. The construction is very inconvenient and not even a discount to make up for that. This hotel isn't cheap. We stay here because...
I've stayed in this hotel a number of times over the years and have even worked with various managers in setting up events at this location. Each time has been a great experience, the location is perfect to get downtown for shopping, and the night life. There's also direct access to the trail system that follows the river. The building could use an update which is currently underway and I'm interested...
Mackenzie at the front desk was very nice and she put us in their newly renovated 4th floor. The rooms were clean and brand new. The view of the river and the park outside was spectacular, especially with the falling snow. They were still renovating the second floor during our stay but even then I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. From pick up at MSO to drop off, the services were great, the staff...

Best Western Plus Grant Creek Inn
Missoula, 5280 Grant Creek Road 🧭 Map
Very comfortable stay! The hotel is conveniently located off the Reserve St. exit on I-90 and is within walking distance of Mackenzie River Pizza Co. and a gas station/convenience store. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the continental breakfast had so many choices! I really liked the business center, which gave me a semi-private place to make some phone calls about my car-related...
Comfortable beds! Clean rooms, pet friendly, and convenient location. Tom at the front desk was wonderful and made sure I was on the opposite side of the hockey team. (Never been more grateful in my life) 😊
Off season this place is remarkably affordable! Summer time there is no reasonable hotel in Missoula, but this hotel is worth every bit! Best mattress I have ever slept on! Employees are delightful and breakfast better than many restaurants!
Warm personable front desk at check in. Room very reasonable price. We were on 3rd floor quiet and no pets. Whole facility was very clean. I gave room an inspection and other than tub walls (water spots) it passed. Buffet breakfast had a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit, assorted pastries, scrambled eggs and sausage, yogurts cereals and waffles. The coffee is excellent. The hot tub, steam room and...
We showed up late and still got a room with a vaulted ceiling. Beds were very comfortable! Room was clean and cool. Hotel was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful! For breakfast, I assumed it would be the usual and I couldn't eat it bc I have a dairy sensitivity. My wife brought me breakfast potatoes and sausage! I was amazed at the quality of the food. Rooms were clean and beautiful, beds comfortable, staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good but a few items were cold which should have been hot. However food was fresh and there was a good selection. Staff kept the food trays full at the buffet breakfast and were fast and friendly. Great experience and I would highly recommend.

Easy access from I-90. Friendly, welcoming front desk. Room was clean and very quiet- did not hear any trains as mentioned in a previous review. Outside fire pits overlooking the river was a nice place to spend the evening. Would stay here again.
Great place to stay in terms of quality of rooms and location along the river, and the staff made it even better. Schuyler was super friendly and professional and made us feel welcome throughout our stay, as did every other staff person we interacted with. They also have bikes you can borrow for free, which we used to get downtown. Highly recommend!
Great comfortable beds, clean and safe, great views of the beautiful clarks fork River from. The room 402. Trains are loud! Fire 🔥 pits are awesome! Continental breakfast as well! Highly recommended!
We LOVED this place. I had planned all of our hotels by researching on TripAdvisor so I was confident that the accommodations would be good, but I didn’t expect exceptional.
This place is exceptional.
It was our 9th hotel stay on a twenty-day cross-country road trip and we were beyond weary when we arrived just after 10pm. We were greeted by a very friendly, helpful front desk employee (Heather?...
great hotel, rooms a good size, bed very comfortable. breakfast standard fayre, plenty of choice, fine for vegetarian too. well situated, plenty of parking, nice view of river. complimentary drinks in lobby, ice machine available, chill water dispenser in gym.
Nice location, hidden a bit. You're by University of Montana. Go Grizzlies!
Be wary, if you arrive on Saturday the parking must be used for the University and the man will be in the driveway turn with a sign that says 15$. I was on business not there for leisure. And do be cautious they charge a 100$ incidental fee. So if you're on a tight budget and can't afford to have any kind of holds on your...

Great location. I don’t have allergies but the room made me very itchy and sneezy. Staff is amazing and very helpful.
The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The location is great for seeing music at the Wilma with just a short walk to the venue. I am not saying this is a 4 Star fancy Hotel but for $70 It was Very Good.
The staff at this location is awesome! Kudos to Jeff and Chris for their extra effort. I hope ownership and management appreciates these guys.
Under construction, but the staff is enthusiastic and kind and are Griz fans for sure. Great Breakfast. Nice rooms. Locally owned. Family Friendly.
The one thing I do not like with a passion is the taking an image of my driver's license and keeping it in your database. You do not have my permission to keep this information on file. I should be able to opt out of this. There is no good reason for doing this.
I love my stay otherwise!!

We love this place. All rooms are remodeled and descent and clean. Most nights we get a king size room for 55 to 65 dollars. They are remodeling the lobby. Staff is nice and pleasant.

The room was comfortable. The king suite is not very spacious and the layout is not practical for a family; The pull out sofa bed is nice but the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom. The popcorn is a nice gesture although we didn't use it. It would have been nice to have a single serve kuerig instead of the whole coffee pot. We got up too early and therefore breakfast was not available...
It was perfect for our family visit with 5 of us and dogs. A thoughtful & well equipped little kitchenette with 2 bedrooms. A great breakfast service included and a social dinner hour Mon- Wed. Everyone was so warm & friendly. Thank you so much!
An awesome property with a social hour serving free beer and food mon-wed, a nice pool, a pool table room, and the room was very well equipped with a small kitchen, bar area, and tv room, free parking. I've stayed at a lot of Hilton properties, this is one of the better ones for the price.
Amazing stay! Super clean rooms with plenty of space. The best part was the breakfast, it was delicious! So much variety and everything was fresh. We had a large group and there was more than enough to feed us all! 10/10 recommend!!
One of the best hotel stays we have ever had! Comfy beds, friendly, helpful staff, nice rooms. We have finally found our Missoula hotel!
Rooms are nice. Pictures of pool are deceiving. It's smallest indoor pool I've ever seen at a hotel. Friendly staff and love the pool table.

This is an outstanding hotel in all respects. While the outside may seem somewhat dated, the inside has been remodeled and is beautiful. Large room, great food, excellent service and nice view of the river. The decor, furnishings and bathroom fixtures are much nicer than most hotels. The room was very clean and organized. Very nice restaurant and bar with an outside deck area.
Greeted by a string quartet as I entered the hotel. The amazing front desk persons said the live music would be there til X-Mas.
The atmosphere was truly magical, the ground floor room had just as good a view of the "L" & "M" as my friend's upstairs room which felt like a small chalet itself.
Every single staff member was over the top regarding politeness & willingness to go beyond in service. ...
I want to give this place more than 3 stars, but, I can't. It is now 1 a.m., and my second room is 78 degrees. I have to work tomorrow for a more strenuous day, and I obviously 78 degrees is not ideal. I say second room, because my first room was around 61 degrees. The hotel engineer fixed the room, and then it skyrocketed to 78 degrees. I called, asked for help, best they could do was move me...
What a special treat! We received an upgrade to a suite and it was so much fun. The bathroom is huge, the amenities are extensive and include mouthwash. The room is so clean it is amazing and I am super picky.
Very impressed with this hotel.
It was an older facility that had not been updated much - not that big of an issue. The rooms were okay - not too small, beds were okay but pillows we're flat. Location seemed to be very near the sites of Missoula. They had ridiculous prices for a sub-par breakfast.
I definitely believe this is the best hotel in Missoula. River view rooms are definitely the best option. Food is great at the restaurant, staff is helpful and friendly. Room didn't have a fridge which I needed for medication, but they hauled one up for me.

Clean. Friendly. Quiet. Still feels on the newer side. Pay attention when they explain the wifi; it's tricky to connect. We got the suite with the fold- out couch; it's a good size, but don't expect a lot of support if you're larger....After staying here a couple more times since the initial review, the thing I might add is that the cleanliness/qualities of the rooms seem better in the higher floors...
Always my choice for an overnight stay before flying out for an early flight. They offer a shuttle to the airport at 4:30am! It's great. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
This is a beautiful property. The front desk clerk was warm and lovely and allowed me to check in at noon so I could get some work done. The room is huge and has everything you need. Table, chairs, desk and office chair, sofa, coffee table and lounge chair. Big, beautiful bed! Good lord, what am I doing? I have to get in that bed! 😉
I really enjoyed my stay here. The front desk was excellent and the room was very clean. My only complaint is that the Jacuzzi tub definitely did NOT fit the both of us. I mean, it fit the both of us but there wasn't much room left. 😜 That being said, it was a very nice place to stay. I will think of this place in the future if I need to stay a night or two.

We are down just take brake from the norm. And this place really accommodated our ability to get some good r&r
I was very pleased with the hotel accommodations and staff. Everything was clean and well stocked. The gal at check-out was super nice and friendly, very engaging with my 4 year old grandson. It was very much appreciated. There were sport's teams staying during the same time, yet it was quiet and the breakfast staff kept everything full and fresh!
Room condition was clean, hot water clean bedding, water was standing in the tub unfortunately during the shower.
Service at the desk was OK, check in lady needed to go home or get training on customer service. I travel alot check in was just weird with this lady.

It was a nice and enjoyable stay. The rooms are great and the little fridge came in handy for sure with my daughter's medication that needs to be refrigerated. The staff was all very friendly and very helpful. I like that all doors were locked and safety was important.
Everything about the location, room and service was great. My problem is how many member points are charged per day but there isn't any breakfast included (in fact, the food that is offered was of poor quality and very expensive) and no incentive to keep a customer inside to enjoy the bar and food services.
Clean rooms and pleasant staff. The entire hotel from the lobby to the rooms had a strange smell. Mediocre value/experience for the price.
Great beds, rooms, and service. Only reason the reviews not 5 star is that breakfast wasn’t included with the room. Teena at the bistro is the best. She’s so kind and helpful, and was the highlight of our stay.
This is a real nice hotel, has a real big gym all new high quality equipment and awesome clean jacuzzi. The location is a little awkward. Once i was in, then i realized this is awesome

Very nice. All standard stuff but quite clean and working. Breakfast was standard but hot and plentiful. Friendly helpful employees.
Clean comfortable rooms, stellar breakfast, staff was pleasant, and was quick to replace our TV in our room as it was cutting in and out. Also, an added bonus they seem to have thick walls. I didn’t hear any slamming doors or footsteps and the hotel was mostly full.
I drive truck and I’m on the road quite a bit; I will always choose the holiday inn, in Missoula because of Storm and the other concierge‘s. Their customer service is so amazing and they go above and beyond every time and make it known your conversation with them is heard. My go-to spot to stay while in Missoula. A tiny bit outdated yet clean rooms, affordable pricing, free basic breakfast w/ coffee (although for me it's kind of like pre-breakfast before hitting up Paul's Pancake Parlor), friendly staff, pet-friendly rooms available, and an outdoor hot tub (and pool when in season.) Overall, a good place to stay for the night.
Decent for the price. Great location and friendly service. Common areas are a bit worn but the room was better and nice and clean. Breakfast is limited but will get you out the door in a pinch.
We enjoyed the outdoor pool & hot tub! Rooms were clean. If you're used to staying at newer properties, you won't be happy here. If you want a clean, safe place while passing through, this will work for you. Free breakfast is handy for those non-picky eaters.
Rooms were nice size. Cleanliness was ok, we found a sick under the bed when I looked for something that I dropped. Bathroom sink wouldn't shut off and when I asked the front desk to have it fixed she told me that they were aware of it and some of them do that. We just needed to play with it to get it to stop. Not the answer I was looking for. Restaurant was fantastic.
This easy-on-the-budget hotel gets 5 stars from us! Our room was clean, large, and had everything we needed. The bath towels were thick and soft. WiFi was good. The large breakfast bags were amazing. We will definitely stay here again.
Staff was very nice, beds were comfortable and rooms were homey. Pool and spa were clean. Only two complaints are that the floor was a bit dirty in our hotel room and there is was an automatic light that kept turning on throughout the night and was very bright, maybe it was ghosts though 🤷♀️

House keeping brought us clean towels everyday we were there. They were the bright spot in our stay. The room was cold and drafty but the bed was comfortable. Otherwise, the walk to the main building was a nucesissance as they were separated from each other. The continental breakfast was average and only lasted till 9 a.m.
Clean room, comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. We stayed for 3 nights and the room service people where awesome, they stopped by every morning to bring us clean towels and take the dirty ones. Downside-It's split into two buildings main building and back building. The back building is a little bit of a walk from the main building which is a pain if you want the front desk or the breakfast.

The bed was big enough for probably 5 people lol and the bathroom was nice and roomy. The breakfast was very good and honestly you can't really ask much more in a hotel stay. Highly recommended for the passing traveler
This place was great! The rooms were a little dated. The service was great! They serve a great full hot breakfast. The breakfast for 4 people would have cost almost as much at a restaurant as the room did. What a steal!!
We always enjoy our stay at Ruby's. The room is clean, the staff is so courteous and polite in the breakfast is wonderful. Any issues get dealt with right away and we always feel so welcome

When I made this reservation the website did not say anything about the hotel being under renovation. The front desk, pool and fitness center were all closed, but we were still charged full price. I would have gone to a different hotel had I know the hotel didn’t have all the same amenities as other competitors.
We were traveling long distance and the pool was key to allowing our toddler time to unwind...
The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was tasty and the server for the breakfast was super sweet and attentive. My only complaint was the hot tub was not functioning during our stay. I just think hotels should have to post those things and let people know when amenities aren't available. In the cold weather in Montana, most of us base our hotel decisions on those amenities
We were sent to the hotel by Delta airlines after a flight delay. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have any agreement with Hilton, so we paid for it ourselves. Close to the airport and downtown. Clean and comfortable room. Nice lobby/dining area with fireplace. Only stayed a few hours. Staff was great too.
I'm truly baffled by the number of bad reviews for this hotel and to be honest, I was nervous about staying here due to them. However, I found the HGI to be a perfectly adequate 3 star hotel with friendly staff members who ensured it was a comfortable stay. It's not a luxury hotel by any stretch (perhaps folks had those expectations?) but the rooms are clean and spacious, they have nice amenities...

Breakfast was plentiful and had lots of variety. Breakfast staff worked hard to keep everything clean and well-supplied. Location was convenient. Staff was very courteous. During low-volume times, men were kneeling on the floor, using small brushes to clean the tile grout in the lobby. They obviously value the appearance of their property.
Front desk..great service. Small bathrooms...large rooms. More than enough space to be comfortable. The breakfast has been the same each morning. If you have are vegan and gluten sensitive prepare to bring or buy breakfast.
Have stayed here before. Easy access off I-90, decent access to locations in Missoula. Rooms are clean and updated for a decent rate. Only detractor on this visit was lack of gravy for B&G's at breakfast though total selection and quality was very good.
The location was great. Right off the highway. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had a heater to adjust the temp. The one weird thing was the shower, it was up really high and couldnt be adjusted. The breakfast was pretty good and included a pancake in a minute machine.

The best hotel in town and highly recommended.
I always receive the clean rooms in this motel whenever I work at a local nursing home. Every single front desk staff I encountered are very courteous - letting me to stay at the ground floor vs climbing up to the second floor with my luggage. Very comfortable bedding and good lighting.

Front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Decent breakfast selections (walked, yogurt, cereal, fruit, etc). Only downfall: all lights went out in my room when I used the microwave. Desk clerk had to go to breaker box and turn power back on. Never had that happen in a hotel before!
Pros:
- Very convenient location off I-90
- Cheaper than most of the hotels in the area
- Pet friendly ($15 fee)
- Front desk person was nice
- Room was clean
Cons:
- Room was very tiny
- Hotel is pretty old and has out-dated decor
- They shouldn't be charging over $100 per night. We paid $115 for a room. Plus pet fee.
Overall it was a good stay. We live an hour away, so we just needed a play to stay for our early morning flight. It is an inexpensive hotel, so we did not expect much, but it was clean and the bed was soft. The sheets felt great. The noise from the parking lot and interstate was pretty considerable, so if you are a light sleeper, you may want to use earplugs. There was a water stain in the ceiling...
Had a fine stay! Service was friendly, room was clean, breakfast was fine. Only complaints were that our room's AC was off when we arrived and took a long time to cool down, and the beds are really high off the ground. Also there is no hot tub, which still shows up in some listings.
I've stayed here a few times. Much nicer than the average Econo Lodge but rooms are also a bit more than average. Easy freeway access and plenty of parking for oversized vehicles (pull in and drive behind the building to avoid the cramped area out front). Elevator is much appreciated when you wind up on the 3rd floor. Rooms are clean, modern, well appointed and (best of all) quiet. Montana allows smoking...

Room very clean. Employees very nice and helpful. My hubby was in the hospital at ST pats. Hotel was close, affordable and felt safe being a female alone. Only complaint was the lighting in the room.. Had four overhead lights and only one bulb out of the four were in the lights.
...besides the ice machine being so so far and there being no kettle in the room...but its super affordable! For the price I slept comfortably and enjoyed all the cable channels. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to crash ?
Room was the nicest for the price. This hotel could charge as much as the Hilton. However, the Red Lion Inn is the cheapest in Missoula. I recommend anyone and everyone who stays the night in this town to not think twice about renting a room at the Red Lion Inn. You will not be disappointed.
Got handicapped accessible room, clean, large bathroom including bathtub stool (removable), daily housekeeping. Hospital 2 blocks away! Had to extend stay due to emergency. I Stayed here overnight on a recent trip. Despite being in the middle of remodeling our stay was great. I thought the price was right the rooms were terrific and clean. There were plenty of places to shop and/or eat and drink within walking distance. The free breakfast in the morning was wonderful. If you find yourself in downtown Missoula, MT anytime soon this hotel is a wise choice.
The room we were assigned smelled like cigarette smoke and spray, we had signed up for non-smoking. We immediately went back and told the attendant and he took us to a non-smoking room that was lovely. We appreciated their response and care.

It was nice and people were great. However, the pillows are terrible. They are a 1\4 the size of a regular pillow and really hard. The one thing a paying guest deserves is a good night sleep. Bed was comfortable. Please consider investing in decent pillows.
We went for the King Bed because the prices were so reasonable. Bed was very comfortable. We were facing a busy street but the noise was minimal. It's an old hotel but we would stay there again. Big room with lots of seating was nice. Pancake and waffle maker. We enjoyed our breakfast.
Breakfast was amazing! Great waffles and Biscuits and Gravy! Friendly staff! Fun game room! The beds were a little hard. Overall a fantastic stay!
