Hilton Garden Inn Overland Park

I really like this location and the hotel also. But the true gem was the staff. I had a small issue when I first checked in but Bridgett helped me fix fast and was so nice the rest of our stay. The Saturday morning staff was super friendly and everyone just made the stay even better. If I come back to this area I will definitely stay here again!

When you first walk into the hotel it looks incredible. The lobby is updated and new with many tables and tvs. The front desk people were nice and got us checked in quickly. They had 3 luggage carts which was nice because other hotels we've stayed at either do not have one or they are always being used.

The issues I had with this hotel is it is outdated and needs to be revamped. The floors have stains, rips, and frays not only in the hallways but also in the rooms. Our toilet made a weird noise when being flushed and our lights flickered for a few seconds before turning on in the bathroom. The shower head was removable which is nice but it was very old. I'm surprised it hadn't been replaced yet.

The rooms weren't all bad. While they do need to be updated the beds were nice and comfy. THE TV HAS NETFLIX! I cannot explain how nice this is at a hotel. You can simply login and use your Netflix account. You can also bring a gaming console or a laptop to hookup to the TV. You do have to unplug the hotels cable box HDMI from the TV and bring your own HDMI to swap out because there is no input option on the remote.

The pool and hot tub are really nice although we didn't have time to use them and the workout room has a good selection of weights and treadmills to use.

Overall this hotel is exactly what I think of when I look for a hotel to stay at. It is in the mid level pricing tier and the rooms are sufficient for our stay.

Glad we picked this place. It was in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. Pheban was great! Service was great. The rooms were a little old and not the cleanest or newest that we've been to. At least for the price, not the quality that we expected. But overall, not bad.

Location staff were very nice and friendly. Location had some intermittent technical issues with the WiFi and smartphone keys throughout the week of my stay. However, when it worked, it was great. I would have rated the location and room 5 stars, but felt that the carpet and furniture were a bit worn. While the breakfast wasn't free, I felt the service and food quality were well worth the cost.
