The location was considered to be the safest, and we felt safe. I was most impressed with your front desk ladies, they were extremely professional, courteous, polite, and welcoming, they made you feel safe and at home. Because of the service they extended, I eill become a repeat customer.
I really like this location and the hotel also. But the true gem was the staff. I had a small issue when I first checked in but Bridgett helped me fix fast and was so nice the rest of our stay. The Saturday morning staff was super friendly and everyone just made the stay even better. If I come back to this area I will definitely stay here again!
When you first walk into the hotel it looks incredible. The lobby is updated and new with many tables and tvs. The front desk people were nice and got us checked in quickly. They had 3 luggage carts which was nice because other hotels we've stayed at either do not have one or they are always being used. The issues I had with this hotel is it is outdated and needs to be revamped. The floors have stains...
During check-in Alexandria, the supervisor at the time was very rude. We showed up at 2:15. She then said the room was ready. Came back 10 minutes later said the room was not ready that they were cleaning it now. At 3:30. We ask if it was ready She rudely replied not right now they’re cleaning it. Finally at 4 o’clock we were allowed to go to our room. We felt we were lied to while being disrespected...
Glad we picked this place. It was in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. Pheban was great! Service was great. The rooms were a little old and not the cleanest or newest that we've been to. At least for the price, not the quality that we expected. But overall, not bad.
The room was nice. We had a double queen room. It was clean and comfortable. There were some flaws like the shower curtain rod was broken and there was an office chair in the room that needed to be thrown away.

Edit: this used to be a best Western and because of all the negative reviews they lost the name because BW didn't want to associate themselves with them anymore. If that tells you anything. This Hotel is in a great location. However, when we arrived, we found the lobby and staircases around the building, with crumbs and dirt on the floors. When we got to the room it was dirty, more crumbs on the...
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hote conviently located with easy access to the highway and local shops/restaurants. My party as a whole however had several issues. 5 rooms we got 2 had AC issues and 1 had a fridge issue.
Save yourself a headache and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! The rooms were fine; however, the experience I had to deal with is inexcusable! My wallet was turned in and they told me they gave it someone else.
Im consistently pleased with Comfort Inns but Comfort Inn & Suites in Overland Park was a little extra. Great sized non-smoking room with double queens, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Plush Mattresses, comfy pillows & extra clean bathroom makes you feel at home. Nice quiet stay and we'll definitely be back when passing through. Made to order omelettes were also a nice touch. Had a great stay
Our clients traveling in the entertainment industry see the inside of many hotels during their tours, and know what it takes to be the best. This place has it all according to musician Ryan Murphy who stayed here recently while in Kansas City! The bedrooms are awesome and comfortable, there's a laundromat on site which really helps those on the road for a long time, and a free breakfast in the morning...
We haven’t stayed at Comfort Inns extensively like we have other chains, but after this visit I’m curious to try others out and see if they are just as awesome. The lobby area is super classy and features a small book rack full of a variety of literature – a great idea! At our easy check-in we were greeted with a generous amount of complimentary drink tickets for happy hour. The complimentary breakfast...

Nice comfortable hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. The kitchenette room was perfect for my stay.
An absolutely amazing stay for a week in an absolutely amazing location with absolutely amazing staff. The room is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, range, full size microwave, and tons of storage. Close to a wide variety of dining and entertainment and drinking establishments, along with museums and close proximity to all the major corridors to get you around the Kansas City...
Our Favorite Place to Stay in Kansas! & it is really close to the Peanut! 127th! This is a must to visit whether you are hungry or need a cocktail with great people!
I had reserved rooms for my driver and myself about 2 months prior. I was scheduled for corneal replacement surgery and had a post op appointment early the foĺlowing day. We stayed over as opposed to dring a 240 mile round trip. They gave me a medical discount. The desk personel were very warm and friendly. We found our rooms neat, clean, and comfortable. I want to give a shout out to the sweet little...
Lovely place with all the amenities EXCEPT a USB port to charge a phone. My bad...didn't take the brick, but have been staying at places with updated electronics and USB charge ports. Breakfast was decent, nice quiet place to stay!!
My wife and I travel A LOT, and we’re always looking for the best complimentary breakfast. Today we found it. The chef, Joel, had the eggs and bacon cooked perfectly, pre-made Belgian waffles were delicious, and 6 different cereals to pick from (including granola, my favorite). My coffee was on point and they had 4 different pre-bottled milks to pick from: skim, 2%, low fat chocolate, and OAT MILK...

My air conditioning dies during a heat wave with temperatures as high as 104, and it took 5 days to get it fixed. The phone representatives were amazing and helped me get reservations for myself and my two cats with the earliest check-in possible so I could get some sleep before my night shift as an IVU nurse. The desk staff also facilitated this by letting me know the earliest I could check in,...
No dishes, not even a cup for water. No bedding for the pull-out sofa. Lamp shade had stained spots all over it. Trash was not taken out before we checked in. We planned on cooking in the room and had to ask the front desk for a pot and dishes and they only gave us one plate, one fork and a knife. They said that was all they had available. I went back to ask for cups because there were none in...
It was a good stay for the money we paid.the room was clean to my name eye. I got Pot and pan to cook. From the front desk she was kind to me. There is no real breakfast just coffee and tea cookies etc. We are a trucking family who moves a lot. So yes I would come back for a overnite stay again.
Theres no lobby and breakfast is muffins and coffee...plan on going elsewhere for breakfast. Super thin blankets. And there was no housekeeping while staying there. Also had a musky smell to the room. Pros- 5 mins away from Top golf and shopping centers.
Loved it .. cleanliness n good place to stay. Morning complementary breakfast. They will provide vessels to cook
I've stayed here a couple times and had success. It is close to work, shopping and restaurants. The room is large and with a good layout. But most importantly, they allow my 4 legged child. With most dog owners he is like my child that I just can't leave at the house or board for months at a time. It is always next to impossible to find a long term accommodations when you have a dog. And I appreciate...

Chris the manager is excellent and amazing at her job. Ashley and Hailey understood how hard it was for us to be away from our homes for so long that they made the Fairfield Inn fell like we where home. What an amazing friendly staff and a super hats off to the back staff on respecting my items and the way I had the room set up, but still keeping it clean and fresh every day. I appreciate everyone...
Nice well updated room, lavender shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a larger bottle size in shower (saving trips to the front desk if multiple people are taking showers). Nice breakfast. Typically hotel breakfast but a nice presentation. Oatmeal, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs.
Pretty nice location and friendly staff. Breakfast was fairly standard hotel breakfast but pretty good. Some items in the room felt a little dated (like the pull out bed) but other things were fairly modern (I always appreciate Internet TV with Netflix, etc). Our room didn't have any towels so I had to go to the front desk first thing for those. Other than that one small issue it was pretty nice.
It was very nice! The appearance, cleanliness, signage, staff excellent! Bravo 👏 A gentleman, Ron is his name, went the extra mile and loaned me a cane as I misplaced mine. So grateful! And Ron did not work alone, everybody there was so friendly, cheerful smiles and greetings! Rooms were nice and clean and adequately prepare for us so on and so on!
Fantastic stay. The check in staff were personable and quick to get us taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge was clean and working but has ice build up so we had to be creative with our pizza box. Breakfast was great and we will definitely stay here again!
Location is easy to get to, rooms were nice, beds we're in good shape. This location lives up to the Fairfield name. Clean, quiet, can't ask for much more.

The staff and management here were just great! For the price...it was a real bargain. The manager went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and my room was exactly what I was looking for. I recommend it for a clean, safe, and economical stay.
The beds were not very comfy. This was the two full size bed room. The mattresses were on what appeared to be a wooden shelf that extended from the wall. Sheets were fine, however having an actual mattress and box springs would have likely improved on it. The highway noise did not bother us as I had worried, and though the people in the rooms above us were loud, very childish, and rude, one complaint...
Good location. Front desk recommended a BBQ restaurant that was very good. Floor could use a mopping / cleaning. Overall satisfied.
To my surprise, I was very pleased with my experience in staying here. I've stayed several times in the past year for work. My stay was very good. I loved looking at the pool because the water was a little to cold for swimming. The complimentary breakfast was on time most of the time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I really like this place.
Turn into the Ramada parking lot and follow it to behind the building; there you will see a small sign for this place. It's basically attached in the back right. Kind of hard to find.

What a great place to stay because of the surrounding area and the cleanliness of the hotel. Room service was right there to help us with anything we needed. The front desk staff is very helpful as well. We will be back again.
I stayed here a few weeks ago for the Beyonce concert. Prices are reasonable. It’s located in a good area. The staff was great, the hotel was nice, & the rooms were clean and comfortable. This was a recommendation to me from a friend who found it on ghe AAA site. The room was fabulous, plenty of room for granddaughter and myself. Very comfortable bed. This was our 1st time staying at Sonesta and we will definitely be back! The hotel, and our room, was very clean and smelled nice. Our room was so spacious and the bed was amazing! We felt very safe as there was a rather loud gathering in the parking lot and security was right there keeping it all under control. There were lots of sitting areas, inside and out, for just relaxing with friends or family
It isn't a bad place if you're wanting to get-up-and-go, But if you're wanting to lounge I wouldn't say this room was big enough for that. Most of the staff was really great very cordial with the exception of 1 or 2 , I would say it's not a bad place to stay. It is off of the highway far enough that you don't really see it, And it's close enough that you hear all the traffic. So if you're a light...
The rooms are clean, with very nice beds. The refrigerator is awful. They run for 2 hrs and turn off for 8. Makes no sense. I've stayed in three different rooms at this location and the refrigerators are all the same way.

Sayda and Richard were amazing. My family and I had a great Table right by the bar. Manager Mary was also a big part of our awesome experience. I frequent the chaz and send clients over all the time. Just another reason why i do so. Always phenomenal
My goodness this hotel deserves 6 stars! Beautiful, clean, super comfortable bed, amazing staff, and overall would stay again. I was in town for a funeral, and multiple family members stayed. While a sad reason to be there, it was a great place for us to gather and have some good time together. The Chaz was amazing too!
Superb service from exceptional staff, delicious room service, and the in-room massages were outstanding! As a first time guest at the Raphael Hotel, I was beyond impressed! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us at the front door and led us into the beautiful lobby,, until the moment we left, it was perfect! I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else but the Raphael Hotel!
Stunning historic hotel in a central location. I love the Bonvoy locations and having their amenities and services in this classic hotel is fantastic. Every staff member went above and beyond. Value for money and central placement near the Plaza district make this a must stay.

Location is perfect. The breakfast was very nice. The only problem we had was related to the temperature of the room. The staff was able to remedy the situation.
The hotel is ok, more of 3.5-4 stars. Clearly not super updated but this is an economical option for the area. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. You are definitely paying for location with this property. I have had way nicer rooms for half the price, they just aren't right next to such great shopping and restaurants. -The staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful -Breakfast was your standard free breakfast, but the dining room was very nice. -Our room has an outside entrance, similar to an apartment building. Great location if you want to do some shopping right next to the plaza. Literally a one or two minute walk. Apartment style hotel room. If you’re not in the main building, you will be expected to carry luggage up the stairway. Lots of reviews about the odor, I could smell it but wasn’t the end of the world. Pros: Good location, free breakfast, free parking, safe, plenty of options to eat and shop nearby and friendly customer service. Loved having the option to have an outside entrance to access my room. Unfortunately due to covid, breakfast was not available. Also there were no cups for the coffee in our room. otherwise, the room was very satisfactory.
Stayed for two nights and was disappointed in a few things: 1 - plugs in the rooms are hard to find or in random places that don't allow me to charge my phone and lay in the bed while using it. I don't have a 20 foot cord to extend across the room. Instead I moved furniture around to find the plugs closeted to the areas I needed them. 2 - the main entrance is stairs. There was no one there to help...
This is an older hotel but a nice place. The patio on the lobby level is a great place to relax. Since it is older the rooms are not modern by any mean but still meets your needs. Could stand an update on the furniture. Great place to stay if you want to explore t The Plaza.
Oh my gosh, I love this hotel! Friendly staff, great location and beautiful view out front. Parking kinda hidden in the back (sucks it's an additional $20) the bed was super comfy and I slept amazing! Very cute and clean room. Everything was perfect. We were on the 6th floor at the very end of the hall. I'd definitely stay again.
This hotel is in an incredible little area, great park across the street to get some exercise and views of a great little city area. Tons of eating choices from nice restaurants. Visiting from out of town for work and stayed three nights here. The hotel is very nice; from the outside it looks rustic, but the rooms are very modern and have nice look to them. This was a great place to stay. Thermostat for the heating and air. Updated rooms with pictures and info about Kansas city and its history. There's a small bar on site and you get a free drink for each guest over 21. Breakfast in the morning included a waffle station and a manned omelette station, made to order. Very impressive overall.
Loved my stay at the 816! I stay here any time I go to KC. It's close to anything fun you want to do while in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too, which goes a long way when you are traveling. The rooms were clean and I would recommend this place to anyone coming through Kansas City.
I am pleased to say we had a very pleasant at the 816 Hotel last week. Having stayed here before, I went in expecting a solid experience and that is exactly what was delivered. The views of Westport was amazing! I stayed in the Uptown themed room. It was nicely decorated, but, a bit on the cheesy side with just some flyers of past concerts and celebrities on the wall. Nice place but quirky. The rooms were fine, but the shower door opened into the corner of the towel bar and a bigger person would not be able to pass through the available space. The stay was nice. Kids loved the pool and the atmosphere of the main lobby makes it a nice place to sit and have happy hour drinks. I was only there for a social event but the hotel was very nice inside of the atrium. I attended a family event at this Embassy Suites. I found that the hotel was fairly clean. Parking is horrid however. The parking garage is the worst I've seen. This is my favorite hotel chain and my favorite hotel to stay at in KC. I love the proximity to Westport and the Plaza. However I feel like this particular Embassy Suites has seen better days. First off…excellent location. Street is undergoing major construction (trolley is being extended) but come in from the south and you’ll be fine. Property is a little dated but the room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Special props to William at the front desk. The positives, this hotel is in a great location, plenty to do within walking distance. The building is beautiful, with early 1900's charm. The lobby is exquisite. Our room was clean. Let’s start from the beginning. We originally made a reservation for two nights at the Hampton Inn down the road. From the moment we checked in, it was a great experience. The woman at the front desk (her name started with a C, I feel terrible for not remembering it but she was AWESOME!!!) was friendly and made us excited to be there. The free champagne at check-in was a wonderful perk. They were also very accommodating - we desperately needed an early check-in so we could get ready for an event and they had a...
The room was small and not fancy, which was fine with me because I was just staying overnight. Nice 32" TV, good selection of channels. Bed was excellent! Very comfy but supportive. Bathroom was on the smallish side but OK. Shower was nice, towels were big and soft. Toilet did not flush with much authority. I got a great deal through Priceline, but got a room with a view of a brick wall 10 feet away...
Great location and very helpful staff. I was there for conference this past weekend. The staff was very helpful in accommodating all the guests in the room. Good locations nearby for food and sightseeing. Very nice and clean facilities throughout the hotel. Only thing lacking was a microwave and fridge would be nice touch for guests staying for a couple days. Also, the rooms were smaller than expected...
The staff was excellent and friendly, and the restaurant manager was great. The location is also perfect if you're going to the convention center. However, the quality of the room cleaning was "spotty". The rooms are small. And in our room, we were able to hear the conversation in another room, through the vents, crystal clear. It was fairly loud, general.
it was fine. Not sure if it's worth the price but you're paying for the location. Not super fancy but decent and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The biggest advantage is the location, lots of stuff within walking distance.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and what a gem. The atmosphere was just grandiose and fabulous. Our room was amazed and I never knew this hotel existed down town. It is centrally located and in the heart of downtown. We didn't explore the hotel during our short stay but, will definitely take the time to do so if we stay again!

Higher priced being downtown and targeting business conventions, but a nice hotel with friendly staff. Valets were very nice and so little cost between self part and valet that it's smart to use it. The most interesting elevator call system with touch screen to request the floor you want and then it directs you to that elevator. Worked very well once you understand it. Fast and smooth elevators too...
My stay at the Marriott was incredible! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Every staff member was a pleasure to interact with, the room was beautiful and had every amenity you could desire plus more, the bed and pillows were top of the line, the location was very convenient to local entertainment, and the parking garage was clean and felt very safe. I had dinner and drinks at BarCentral in...
had an amazing stay at the Marriott Kansas City Downtown! The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. My room was spotless, comfortable, and had a great view of the city. The location is perfect—close to great restaurants, shops, and entertainment. I also loved the fitness center and the on-site dining options. Can’t wait to stay here again!
Location close to auditorium. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Parking was fairly easy. Staff was more than happy to answer any questions and give directions. Buffett breakfast had good choices.
Wow, what a stay! From the moment I pulled in I had a great 360 degree experience: valets came up to my window to say hi to me and my dog, the lobby area was massive and immaculate, rooms were spotless (and huge), room service food made me feel like I was home instead of on the road, showers had a ton of water pressure, response time from the front desk on the Marriott app was 30 seconds. Perfect stay...
I went to assist at one of my company's biggest annual corporate events in KC. The staff was wonderful! The ballroom looked amazing. All of the participants had a great time. Don't forget to tip your bartenders! Even if there is no tip jar and the bar is paid for... Drop a dollar or 2.

Great hotel. Clean and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant in the hotel is also nice and typically busy. Lots of business professionals travel here during the week. I will be back to stay at this location.
Service was really good. Valet, front desk, breakfast, evening drink never had a single issue. Always quick, efficient and just what you need but not too much. Frankly I’d book again bc of this. The rooms were fine. Felt pretty new and pretty much what’s you’d expect at a Marriott. The location isn’t that great but it’s a historic building so can’t do much about that. Bus stops, vacant lots, dispensary...
This hotel is absolutely luxurious. The front desk staff greet you with incredible smiles and are extremely attentive. The valet staff are also incredible, responsive and their customer service is top notch. The bar and front lobby is breathtaking. I had a King Bed room. The hotel was just lovely! The rooms were large and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the drinks during happy hour and the breakfast the next day. The location was perfect for our venue. Everything was excellent!
I knew the Ambassador was a luxury hotel and that it would be fancy, which is not typically my style. However the time I spent here was nothing shy of amazing! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Clara checked us in during happy hour and Ishmal took very good care of us at the bar. His holiday inspired cocktail menu was very well put together. Good location, very good breakfast, and the room had everything we needed. The lobby area was underwhelming and I understand that the hotel will be renovated soon - the building is definitely looking 'tired.' The only true negative was the $12/day parking fee for hotel guests - especially since the site is some distance from the entertainment districts!
This was a good stay, with some caveats. First, the building needs updated. Nothing wrong with it and the rooms were comfortable, but still needs updating. The breakfast was ok, would recommend improvement there (especially the eggs). In room service was also ok, but they didn't provide me more coffee and just folded the used wet towels and put them back. I had interaction with the staff, who...
January weekend stay. 5 minutes from KC convention center. Clean, quiet rooms, plenty of free parking, great hot breakfast including eggs, sausage, waffles, greek yogurt, etc.. My husband and I visited Kansas city during the last week of March. This place is very near to downtown. The hotel room was in good condition and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. It took a few calls as their manager was...
This place worked great for my trip to KC. It's really close to some of the cool neighborhoods but it's still affordable. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean with plenty...
The staff are courteous and friendly with good suggestions for out-of-towners. The place is clean and the bed we slept in was very comfortable. More parking would be helpful. The breakfast looked great, like they went the extra mile with it, although we did not eat it.

We stayed here for a Saturday evening as we were going to a Royals game the next day. We wanted something close to downtown and The Phoenix Jazz club and also the City Market. This fit our needs well. It was clean and close to the places we needed.
While staying here at Rodeway for the past 90 days, I was able to accomplish some difficult tasks. I am a Representative of the homeless men and women in the city and quickly organized volunteers to bring us meals and hygiene items etc... I fed all the people here right from my room for almost 90 days. Sometimes 3 meals a day. I also contacted Care Beyond The Blvd. Who showed up weekly in their school...
It is what it is. Renovated hotel within a ghetto neighborhood. The employees can't help the bums outside the fences but they keep the hotel grounds clean. Good cheap hotel by downtown
The hotel is in a scummy part of town, but it's remodeled and has a pleasant staff. Plus, it has a real continental breakfast, with a waffle machine and multiple cereal options. If you're looking to save money, it's a good choice. (I want to add, after looking at the reviews, that I didn't see "burn holes." My room was freshly painted and had new furniture. Plus, the breakfast options were far superior...
It's probably not the nicest place you'll stay in in your life, but if you're looking for somewhere inexpensive and you don't need every creature comfort, I found it to be perfectly fine. In particular, I really enjoyed the staff.
Rodeway Inn is in a fairly sketchy looking area of KC. When I arrived there was a man in his boxers sitting in the parking lot playing with the gravel. Police later came and took him away and I think he was just high. About the room though. It was actually pretty nice. Nicer than I expected and clean. At one time, this was probably a real nice hotel. It appears it is maintained pretty well but appears dated. The room was clean and beds were comfortable but we were unable to regulate the temp. The doors to the balcony had been replaced with a fixed window. Evidently it wasn't sealed properly because it let in a huge draft. The ice machines on all but one floor were inoperable. The pool had been...
We stayed for an event at the T-Mobile center, and really enjoyed our stay. It was about 10 minutes from the event which was why we chose the location in the first place. Nothing fancy here. Everything in our room worked well enough that we could live with it. Shower didn't drain well so i was standing in a few inches of water, the shower head was like a pressure washer, the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling (see photo). We loved the view of the stadiums across the street. It was a short walk to Kauffman Stadium. The counter staff was the highlight of the hotel...
The workers were friendly and the rooms were clean and well-kept. The short walk over to Kauffman Stadium was THE BEST! We were quite bummed about this when my son and I walked down in our suits and asked...
Ate dinner at the in house restaurant. Food was good and my drink was made well. The staff was friendly and professional, especially our server Arnaz. The manager stopped by several times to make sure we were having a great dining experience. I believe her name was Lindsay and she had a beautiful smile on her face the whole time I was there. I would recommend to my friends and family.
An acceptable stay. Very convenient to highways and stadiums. Overall a decent stay but our room in particular, the shower didn't drain well and located on the bottom floor could easily hear passing car, people and music from the parking lot. The on-site restaurant is all Boulevard brewing, which not being from the area I really enjoyed some great beers that I can't normally get. Room was affordable...

First the front parking lot was completely packed. But they were busy so I didn’t judge. Took about 15 minutes to get checked in. Once we could find our room, I was SO disappointed. Wallpaper pealing off the walls, SO hot, nasty around the toilet, and the ceiling above the shower was dirty and nasty. Also, as soon as you walk in, the ceiling looks like it has water damage that was just painted white...
My daughter had a birthday party here. She says it was the best slumber party ever. The staff was nice and gave us whatever we needed. The room was huge, we had 14 girls total and there was more than enough room.
They give a nice appearance in the lobby. But the rooms weren't very clean. Check the bedskirt because ours looked like they had some "fluids" on them. The staff was extremely nice though. If it wasn't for them it would probably be a 1.5. There's also no fridge or microwave.
My family and I stayed with our dog at the location. We had two rooms connected and an amazing view! We stayed the entire weekend and it was fantastic!! The staff were always available and helpful whenever we needed help. We had a great time and will be back soon!!
The staff was great at this hotel. I gave three stars because while it was great to face the stadium since we came to see the chiefs the room was pretty run down. Small areas of wall paper were peeling off, no fan in the bathroom. Both my stepson and husband had cold showers which much of the hotel experienced the morning of the game. I had a hot shower the night before. The pool and arcade were super...
This is a great, inexpensive getaway if you have younger kids. The hotel and water park are old and a bit run down. Our room had dirty sheets on one of the bed, but the staff changed it within 10 minutes. The carpet was dirty, things were dusty, the bathroom was dark. I can only comment on the casino as I have never stayed at the hotel. They have a big selection of games, old and new. Have won on a lot of machines here. They keep everything very clean. Never smells like I have been smoking cigarettes all day when I leave.
My first time in a casino and it wasn't too bad. However, I don't have much to compare it to. It's pretty. The blackjack dealer actually walked us thru the game and the process. It was fun. Went with $5 and left with $200.
Easily a lovable experience. The room (129) was excellent! Cleaner than any I've stated...the bathroom and shower was outstanding. That is actually the feature I enjoy most at a hotel stay and compared to the Argosy, none hold up. Dual head shower, easy to operate, excellent lighting, plenty of room... the only reason I didn't rate a 5 was one particular desk person was not friendly or engaging. There...

Cost if the room is a little steep for outdated rooms.. Sorry but tge smoking and non smoking rooms looks like where still living in the own 80s or 90s. Dim lighting stained chairs, thick layer of dust on vents and furniture. On top of that winnings odds i feel are less than other casinos I've been to.
We came here for a summit that was hosted in the hotel conference. The room had the faint smell of smoke, and they do not clean the room for the duration of your stay. It was sparsely furnished with no desk even though there is a large open space for it. Given the price point (and we even had a discount as summit attendees), I would expect more for our money. The casino is decent, but the food...
I gave the location five stars because we were specifically visiting the casino on a junket. They have nice restaurants and the service was excellent. Not a great location if you are visiting the area because you will have to drive everywhere for non-casino food, drinks and fun. The walkable area is across the river.
This was a WONDERFUL respite after 10hrs on the road. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. I enjoyed the easy access from the parking lot to the elevators. All the staff were also super friendly and the room price just couldn’t be beat.
The room I was given had some cosmetic issues if you looked closely and over scrutinized. However it was also a smoking room which tend to be rough around the edges to begin with. All things considered it was nice, the beds were clean and comfortable and i loved the deep soaking tub in the bathroom and the fact that the toilet was separated off in a stall/WC keeping any smells in that room. I wish...
I would probably give it one star but staff is amazing. The restaurants are also decent. The hotel rooms are in desperate need of a makeover. The casino is a decent size and there were plenty of tables and such to play at. The casino floor itself was clean and looked well maintained. We had a great time! First time to a Casino, it was all a bit confusing at times for n00bs like us! We REALLY enjoyed the ceiling and the way that each individual area looked like a completely different building inside of the main building! The food was amazing & the crab legs and shrimp were spiced perfectly so there was no need for butter!
Friday night all you can eat crab legs! And the rest of the restaurants has all you can eat around the World Buffet! So Friday's when we like to go and then gamble little bit afterwards to try to make them money back. If you get there early or around an hour before the restaurant closes. Great value! It's an older building and there were minor imperfections in our room (dresser drawers are chipping, carpet fraying on edges, refrigerator was so cold it froze our food) but the room was actually very nice and CLEAN! Positives were very clean, friendly staff, good location. Disappointed that there was no microwave in the room and nothing at all for breakfast, not even coffee. Never been to this nice of a hotel without these basic amenities. Also our 2nd floor room had central HVAC units on a balcony right outside the window and they were very noisy all night long.
Hyatt Place Kansas City airport is a very nice hotel. The main draw for us was the location, as it was very close to the Zona Rosa Shopping Center. Other draws for this place are the free breakfast, with hot menu items, the pool which was perfect on a very hot day like our stay was, and the price was very affordable.
