While a little dated, this resort was a perfect place for our multifamily vacation/wedding. A big shout out to the folks at the "Above the Eight" restaurant for exceptional service and friendliness. Pools and pickleball were a hit with our teenage and young 20s kids.

Cool place. Awesome vibes. Tennis tournament today. Great people. Very friendly. Good eats. Had a good time. You should check it out. You're most likely gonna enjoy yourself.

My daughter and I really liked the original Palm Desert/Palm Springs feel and feel of the exterior of this hotel. Our room was remodeled so it was more modern but had accents of that same feel. The pool is gigantic and was a bit chilly for November, but it wasn't a super hot weekend and it felt really nice after our hike. We were right by the pool and the slamming gate was kind of loud and one guest had loud kids music, but it wasn't too terrible and it was very quiet at night. The service at the cantina was odd, but the pineapple daquiri smoothie was delicious.

The room was beautiful with a fantastic view. It was quiet and clean. I would absolutely stay here again. The staff was nice, we never had to ask for anything as the room was well stocked. If you need to stay somewhere in Palm Springs, stay here.

We stay here whenever we can. It's one of the oldest "hotels" in the area. We get the room on the ground floor by the pool.. It's our favorite... But we've also been upstairs overlooking the tennis courts. They all have kitchenettes and plenty of room... King bed with a small living room... Bathrooms are good size and have the shower and toilet separate from the sink and area to get ready. They also have apartment/condo type with a separate bedroom and regular condos with 2 or more bedrooms. Their pool is HUGE. The weekend we were there unfortunately Hurricane Hilary decided to show up. But up until Sunday even though it was cloudy, the pool was so nice... Great temp

Really pretty, enjoyable course. Fairways are narrow and homes are close by, but not too many hazards.

This is an interesting resort with character. The resort has an interesting history in that Patton's motor pool was stationed on this location during WW2. The resort came after the war and when it was built, it was literally an oasis in a vast desert. The city of Palm Desert sprang up from around this resort.
Lots of famous people have stayed at the Shadow Mountain Resort, including Bing Crosby, who was w regular vacationer. The rooms could use some upgrades, but they are fully functional and relaxing ninetheless. I thought the price fir an evening stay was reasonable.
The swimming pool is amazing. It is a figure 8 pool and it is massive. It reaches a depth of 12 feet, so don't wear your jewelry in it, because that depth is quite a dive if you lose a ring. The water in the pool is climate controlled and is half salt, half chlorine.
The vacationers there are very chill and easy to talk to. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. If we return to Palm Desert, we will stay there again.

I'm a member of the tennis club but have not stayed in the resort. My experience has been first class throughout.

I stayed at a unit on Airbnb and it was fantastic. Great location, reasonable prices, fantastic pool and restaurant. And my unit overlooked the tennis courts, the host was very responsive It was wonderful. I will definitely be back.
