Hyatt Palm Springs

This hotel is in the best location.
It's right in the middle of Palm Canyon.
You can literally walk to everything, restaurants, bars, shopping, live music... anything you can think of.
We had a Palm Canyon view balcony suite which I loved.
We didn't have any road noise at night and it was great to hang on the balcony with a drink to people watch.
The hotel has a great little bar that opens out to the pool.
The pool is tiny considering the size of the hotel.
We actually ended up skipping a pool hang because we could find two chairs to drag next to each other so kind of a bummer.
The beds are super comfortable and the hotel overall is very quiet which was great for a relaxing weekend.
The staff is super nice.
You definitely see a lot of age and really just a way of things being unkept.
Water stains on the ceiling over the bed, wallpaper peeling in many spots, the bar/fridge area doors were broken.
The couch just sinks all the way down when you sit on it, chairs have lots of stains and holes, broken light on the balcony.
Everything being said, we might stay here again just because you really can't hope for a better location but, she definitely needs some TLC.

This hotel is adequate at best, it charges premium prices yet doesn't deliver a premium experience.
The good
The reception area is nice and so is the pool. The location is in the center of town and in a walkable area. Hotel parking(for a fee) is convenient. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is nice.
The bad
The staff is often absent and hard to find. As many have said the rooms are dated and in desperate need of a refresh. The pullout couch in our suite had no sheets (had to ask for them), the mattress was gross and uncomfortable. It was fine for the kids but I wouldn't recommend it for adults. Our king bed was fine. The carpeting in the hallways was sad.

Overall it was all right for a couple of nights. But not what I expect from a "higher" end hotel.

One of my favorite Hyatt's ever! Staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are fantastic! 5th floor overlooking the golf course and mountains. Great bar and happy hour. Pool/hot tub area is lovely.

Slept well, but very underwhelming for a Hyatt, to be honest. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and pillows were soft, the temperature was easy to adjust, and the room/view were spacious. The common areas of the hotel were modern, updated, and clean. Very friendly staff!

The room itself felt old, and worn out. An update or deep cleaning is much, much needed. Stains, the floor being dirty, and half of the lights in my bathroom didn't work. I put in a work order and they only replaced 1 of the lights. Also, the showers don't drain. I stayed here with 5 coworkers (separate rooms) Halloween 2022, and NONE of us had a shower that drained. The shower would eventually drain like 5-8 minutes after you shower, but no one wants to stand in a tub that's filling with water while they are showering. Kind of gross.

Overall, not a terrible hotel, the rooms just need some updating to be on par with what most people associate a Hyatt brand to be.
