Arizona Grand Resort

The resort was wonderful. Great location, easy to get to, lots of fun activities, Oasis Water Park was a blast and included in the room rate. Able to continue to enjoy the water park the day we left. Rooms were beautifully appointed and super comfortable. Enjoyed a fun birthday celebration at Rustler's Roost at the resort with stunning sunset views. Only down side was check in on Saturday. Long lines and wait times. Could you a mobile check in option. Will definitely be going back!

Just as Phoenix is a beautiful city thriving in a desert, this resort is a lovely oasis nestled near the border between two bustling cities. I visited outside of the main tourist season and enjoyed every moment of my stay. I'll limit my comments to what I experienced as an off-season visitor.

First priority: be sure to check out the nearby South Mountain Park and Preserve, which is steps from the resort. (There's a nice paved path that will take you there.) This park provides you with a full experience of the desert conditions that make Phoenix an urban engineering marvel, and you can easily visit after attending your conference or even early in the morning, if that's how you roll. Charge your phone before heading there, as you'll be taking lots of photos!

Staff here are friendly, quick to solve any issues that arise, and take pride in their work. Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is very adept at handling conferences, and the attendees I saw all seemed to be having a great time. Despite having hundreds of folks on premises at any given time, Arizona Grand does an excellent job of creating a calming atmosphere, which I think has something to do with the layout of the facilities: you quickly learn which staircase or elevator will bring you to your suite, which serves to reduce overall traffic in the complex.

For anyone planning a conference that might include people who drive to the venue, Arizona Grand Resort is a good option, as they've got loads of room to accommodate vehicles without any extra charge. This also makes it quite feasible to rent a car for a few days during your stay.

We did a stay-cation with family. Overall the resort was nice. The water park was great with nice balanced for kids/adults. I will say the big slides were a little hard on the back as you felt the connection joints going down vs other water parks we've visited. I also removed star as I was little shocked at the amount of dirt on air filter.

I did like this place. Family friendly. Room was clean. Quiet at night. Oasis was fun. Something for everyone of all ages. Pools were clean. Only downside was when making reservation, I called main phone number on website, when I called to confirm and ask questions they said because I reserved with a 3rd party there was no cancelation or refund or reschedule available. I was not aware I booked with 3rd party so if you do call main number ask to speak to someone in the resort. Also we ate at Lobby grill which was good food but pretty pricey for 2 pot pies, wings,steak dinner, 4 drinks was over $200. I suggest eating outside the resort. I will recommend to friends and family but will think twice about saving money when I come back. Overall a good time.

Very nice resort. The rooms are well kept and the views are great. I’m not a golfer, but the golf course provided a lot of these interesting views. The highlight of the resort is the waterpark, with pool basketball and volleyball, a wave pool, a lazy river, and three massive water slides. I personally went with for a private conference where certain meals were catered by the resort, and these were all delicious. The mid-summer price is unbeatable, and is worth dealing with the heat.

Now for some extremely nit picky things that I didn’t like. The gym closes at 8pm. I like to workout late, so it’d be nice if it was open for 24 hours a day. I stayed in the mountainside suites building, which is a bit of a walk from everything. This could be annoying, but it was really easy to close my Apple Watch rings, so that was a bonus. Finally, the restaurants in the resort are very expensive, but there are a few good places to eat within walking distance of the resort, so this didn’t bother me too much.

Great resort!! Rooms are big and clean. Plenty of pools to hang out around! Good restaurants on the property, including a steak restaurant and Mexican food. It also has a golf course on the property. A pretty narrow course, so keep that in mind should you think about scheduling a tee time.
