The hotel is a completely different story. Room and bathroom with broken fixtures. Poor a/c and hot water. The windows are covered in bird feces and dead bugs. Definitely not 4 star level.
The rooms on the other hand were dated and just not in great shape. For a resort, it honestly was not much nicer than a Hampton Inn or another 2/3 star brand.
All that aside though, the staff really was fantastic and redeemed a lot of that experience with the rooms and facility!
The rooms could use some work though. They are very outdated and do not feel or look great. In one stay, a pipe burst under our floor and flooded the carpet! I applied a Suite Night Award this time and it was approved to an Executive Suite, which was great, but even the suites do not really have a wow factor.
Hard to beat the property, but easy to beat the rooms.
Unfortunately we had to deal with a staff member that was unprofessional and really didn’t want to assist in anyway. She just wanted to be sure that we knew that we didn’t know what we were talking about nor did she want to get us to the right person that could help us. Actually shocked by the attitude and the customer service that we were giving from Divine-Grace in Group Housing.
We have let all parties know how horrible she was at assisting us and the booking that we needed for a very important date.
We have just found out that the blocked dates that we are looking at are opening in the next couple weeks, which is something that Divine-Grace could have given us and would have saved us the last two days of the lack of service we received.
