We recently stayed at the Renaissance Hotel North Hills during Shaw University's Homecoming game, and it was a wonderful experience. From start to finish, the staff made sure everything was comfortable and welcoming.
Housekeeping was impressive; we left early in the morning and came back to find the room spotless with a freshly made bed – definitely a sign of great service. The real gem, though, was the restaurant and bar in the lobby area. The ambiance was lively with good music, and the bartender’s style and skill added a true artful touch to our evening. Whether you’re here for a special event or just a relaxing getaway, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

This hotel is great. I arrived from the airport very early and Gene/Jean at the front desk was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. She held my bags for me and called me shortly after when a room was ready for me, which impressed me because she handling A LOT of other issues at the same time. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food provided at our conference was the best I'd ever had. The location of the hotel is in the middle of a mixed use shopping center with small shops and restaurants within feet (including a Target!). It is also just a nice area to walk around and get some fresh air. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Upon arrival, Kevin greeted me with genuine warmth and immediately recognized my Titanium Elite Marriott status, which made me feel truly valued as a long-time loyal guest. Amazing rooms, very premium bedding, and original artwork in the rooms. The location is excellent for anyone looking to ditch the car and walk around. An abundance of excellent restaurants and a target and fitness gym as well. One could stay here a month without getting bored.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Hotel! The hotel is beautiful and the hospitality is amazing. The biggest thing that made our stay so awesome was the people that work there. Erin, David, Kevin are awesome and gave me and my wife amazing hospitality. They made us feel so welcome. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. We will be staying here again! Highly recommend the Renaissance Hotel.

Worth noting are the friendly welcome and service at the reception, the free parking, as well as the convenient size of the room. I also welcomed complimentary use of umbrellas and the generally pleasant atmosphere of the hotel.

Nice rooms and it’s right in North Hills. Downside is, when North Hills gets packed, it’s a pain trying to navigate through.

Really wasn’t anything special about the hotel. No pool or microwaves in the rooms. They have a microwave at the front desk they can use to heat stuff for you, but the night staff wasn’t the friendliest about it. The pillows are all really thick. We paid for a room with a tub but that’s not what we got. We were credited for the difference. Definitely not worth the price.

Nice stay here for a few nights! Wonderful location in the North Hills area within walking distance to Target and various shops and eateries (even in neighbouring complexes). There were a few marks on one of our pillows and it was clear the pad of paper was well used (not that many sheets left, although we respect it not going to waste, it was a bit unfavourably bent as well). Other than that, no complaints. The front staff desk were kind and receptive, and we couldn't hear any construction going on in nearby buildings. However, we stayed from a Friday to Monday, so perhaps that's the reason. We requested a mini fridge prior to our stay and they gave us some small bottled water at arrival. Would stay here again when in Raleigh!

Absolutely not worth the price at all, I guess they're cashing in on the location.The pillows were dirty and makeup covered. There's no microwave or fridge which can be found at even your most basic hotel, just a cooler to keep your items fresh, like I'm staying at a campground or something.Only 2 washcloths were provided but 5 towels. Should have read up on the amenities better for sure and stayed at the Hilton.
