Would probably give 4.5 stars overall, but it's worth 5 for the value. Was 2/3 the price for comparable hotels in downtown Raleigh. The room was nice the bed was comfy and the staff is amazing. I love the shuttle just tell them where you want to go around town and they will take you. Just call and tell them where to pick you up for your return.

The hotel is older, but my room and all areas I ventured out to were clean and well kept. Every employee I encountered was friendly and eager to help with whatever I needed. My husband was having surgery at Duke and this hotel was super convenient being right across the street. Nice restaurant/bar area/coffee bar. Would stay again and recommend!

This hotel is pretty good. It would not be my first choice, but I would stay again, if needed. They could definitely do some work to the maintenance of the hotel, such as the elevators and wallpaper. The room had some things that you can tell, had not been cleaned very well. The staff was very nice and it is a good location.

The photos of this hotel's rooms are better than the actual rooms. There was a less than desirable odor in the room (we bought air freshener) and some of the towels had mascara stains on them. So they could be washed better. Good thing I brought my own towels. The restaurant and bar was great. The customer service was pretty great. Over all we had a great stay.

Amazing rooms, very premium bedding, and original artwork in the rooms. The location is excellent for anyone looking to ditch the car and walk around. An abundance of excellent restaurants and a target and fitness gym as well. One could stay here a month without getting bored.

Worth noting are the friendly welcome and service at the reception, the free parking, as well as the convenient size of the room. I also welcomed complimentary use of umbrellas and the generally pleasant atmosphere of the hotel.

We had a Double Queen Room and a King Bed Room both with Balconies. The Beds were Very Comfortable. Unfortunately There are No refrigerators or Microwaves in The Rooms which was a bit of a Struggle as We have 4 Young Kids and those 2 amenities help tremendously during overnight stays. I stay here often on business. Usually, things are fine. It's a great location and rooms are spacious with everything you need for a long stay. I normally use the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided by the hotel. I'm guy and almost bald so I don't care about fancy hair products. Really enjoyed my stay here for my last work event. The front desk was very accommodating, letting me check in earlier than I intended to, but it really helped me out a lot. I appreciate the breakfast included with the stay since I usually run too late to grab breakfast. Having it downstairs ready for me before work really helped me out. Genuinely one of the best hotel stays I've ever had! The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were large and very clean and very well appointed, the setting was secluded and relaxing, and it was very quiet. It's both family and adult friendly, and the 24 hour coffee was delicious. I can not say enough good things about this hotel. I will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my experience at this hotel when it was a Courtyard for many years. I made a reservation this spring at the new Arena Suites and was impressed by the friendly service. When I had to unfortunately cancel fewer than 24 hours prior to check in, there was no hassle whatsoever. I will look forward to my next stay at this very conveniently located hotel.

Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent. Down side NO shuttle to or from airport. The only beverages available sodas, water.

Clean hotel. Currently under renovations. Stayed at hotel after attending Hurricanes game. Proximity to arena is great and saves you the cost of parking at the arena of you are already planning to stay overnight.

Initial impression was not good. The place was under going some upgrades that presented minor annoyances. However the staff was great eger to please and the room was all I had wished for. Even though the outside appearance and plastic covered area were an initial put off.

I just think there should be a continental breakfast and some sort of happy hour in this hotel. The expectation to have this availability is reasonable.

I had an excellent experience during my stay. However, I was assured that my rewards information was corrected but it was not. When I called to get it corrected, the rep I spoke was a little curt with me.

For the price of staying at this hotel I expected better. Rooms with a microwave can be found in some of the least expensive hotels/motels. Here you would have to go down the hall to use a community microwave. They provided an ice bucket but the ice machines were on two floors of this four floor hotel. What a great new hire at the front desk! I wish I had got her name so that I could mention it here in this past. Very personable and friendly. It was very refreshing to be greeted by someone that actually makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Room was clean and comfortable just like the parking lot which is well lot with smoke parking.
