I understand they will be updating the rooms soon. The cleaning person left a coffee cup of tea in our refrigerator when we arrived! The window cover was broken. On our checkout day, the cleaning lady was knocking on all the doors at 9am. I thought that was rude. We checked out a half hour early. The bar downstairs was a 10+ for food and drinks. Before you book, keep in mind you need to check all the amenities and don't go with the usual Hilton chain standard that, if you book a king or two queens, there would be plenty of space. Stayed here for a night with my team. It was a very unique hotel and maintained very well. Some of the decor was interesting. The room overall was extremely clean (a tad small). The service at the front desk was very quick and the staff were friendly. Its in a great location In town, walking distance to everything. Also downstairs is a full bar and a large Starbucks. Conference Planning staff was incredible. We got rave reviews from the International Event staff! Attendees also raved about the food at Minerva's. (except they need more vegetarian & vegan options!) We were very well served. I'm proud of our community and the hotel. I really think we put our best foot forward.

The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The staff was very nice and professional. The amenities were nice, the pool having choices, the overlooking fitness room, also being attached to one of the best restaurants in town.

Staff was friendly, helpful and explained everything I had questions on. My room was in a great condition. One thing of note is that the entry way and bathroom both had stone flooring and can be surprisingly slick when wet, so watch your footing and also watch for pooling water in those areas if you use the tub/shower combo.

The water park is pretty good for munchkins but the water slides are good for everyone. The pool was huge! The rooms were a good size and the sliding door led right to the parking lot-convenient.

This hotel facility was very nice. Beds were exceptionally nice, and great pillows. However where this hotel fell and would have gotten more starts if they had a good restaurant. They had no alcohol, no beer, no wine... Very sad. We tried the breakfast.. two meals were inedible. One of them we did not have to pay for. It was just very sad offering.

Stayed here about 4 weeks ago. It is obvious that this is an old motel/hotel that they are working on restoring. No elevator to the second floor, no minifridges or microwaves (no room for them), and small rooms. However, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff I interacted with were very nice. For the price, I would recommend.

Beds were clean and the bar is good. However the rooms need to be fixed. One of our rooms smelled like sewer. They had to spray the room to keep the odor down. The ceiling was literally falling apart. The carpets are stained. Location is nice. The staff really did not have anything to offer for the bad smells and ceiling falling in. I just expected more with the other reviews.

Overall we had a good stay. It was clean quiet and comfortable. The rooms could use a little updating. The food from room service was good and the restaurant inside the hotel had a good breakfast and the service was good.

Great experience. Coffee maker had water handy for a cup of tea before bed. Everything in our room was handy for each task. Easy access to charge our phones. Free Breakfast (excellent omelette) with the waitress serving every need. Beautiful surroundings. Superb price.

We won a "Free One Night Stay" at this hotel. We expected to be placed in a 2-Full/Queen Bed Room, but they instead reserved a "Plaza Suite (King Size Suite with a Pull-Out Couch) Non-Smoking"! Victoria at the front desk was cool. But housekeeping could definitely step it up a few notches. Upon our arrival, we found a dirty towel left behind in our bathroom; no bottles of water provided; and only one cup available for a room with two double-beds (weird). Airport shuttle service was appreciated.

Great location in Downtown Rapid City with friendly staff and very spacious rooms. The room and the bathroom were clean and updated. The a/c works well but it’s super loud, may need ear plugs. I find it as good as the Alex at half the price.

Very nice place to stay, only draw back is no free breakfast similar to the Holiday Inn Express route. Same breakfast choices really but at a very steep cost. Do yourself a favor and have breakfast some other place. Bar area is great, staff everywhere are friendly and the hotel is always in great condition.

As always, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff is amazing, so friendly, courteous and yet professional. Our favorite is Ellen, the hostess for the morning breakfast. In our many appointments at he Black Hills Eye Institute, we have formed a friendship. We will back on May 21st. We have recommended the Rushmore Hotel to many people.

Was a very reasonable rate for a decent, clean hotel. It’s attached to a water park and seems to be a destination for families/kids/pets. The rooms have thick enough walls you won’t have any issues with noise. Breakfast was simple, but good. Absolutely incredible stay at every corner. We stayed 6 days, and every one of them was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and met our every request. (We had lots!) The rooms were clean and the cleaning crew did an excellent job every day they came by. The recreation area has a variety of fantastic activities, and the pool/hot tub was clean and well maintained. My kids adored staying here...

This hotel was OK for the price, I personally would probably not stay again. The rooms had very poor lighting, it was very dim and dark you had to turn on every light in the room to get half way decent light. We had a great time at the hotel. It was our first place with beds, shower, and air conditioning after a week in the woods. Water park was excellent for the kids. And we really enjoyed the noon checkout time since we were meeting family around 1 pm on Sunday of checkout. Stayed here for two nights. The front desk staff was very nice. When we arrived they gave us a upgrade. We got a king suite with jacuzzi. It was a very clean room. The negative , we were right next to the elevator and heard it all night. The shower water pressure was awful, and the breakfast was all carbs ,not meat or eggs. Also the muffins tasted old and dry.

We were upgraded upon arrival to the presidential suite and it was excellent. The room was extremely clean as well as all the public places. The breakfast was great terrific with a great selection. Ross made our stay unforgettable...we had had a very bad experience at a recent hotel with some ADA issues and his demeanor and positive attitude turned our trip around. His willingness to go the extra mile and help my handicapped grandmother was heartwarming. Employees that wonderful are hard to find. The Comfort Suites property is a great place to overnight in Rapid. It's just off the interstate, and right next to a great steak restaurant, so no need to travel far for food. Many cheaper options are within a mile if full service dining isn't desired.

We stayed 5 nights when we unexpectedly were stuck in Rapid City. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to take care of any special requests we had during our stay. Beds were comfortable, breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic and the woman who cooked for us really was the best at meeting our special dietary needs. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The front desk check in staff was very nice and accommodating. The hallways had huge stains on the carpeting. The room was not overly clean, like I had to wipe the toilet and there was a penny in the bowl. The sofa sleeper bedding was dirty so I went to get new at the front desk. Our stay at the Cambria was excellent. The rooms were clean, and very modern. The staff was excellent and the food was great as well. The workout room had a good selection of weights, flat benches, and a resistance machine, as well as treadmills for cardio. The pool and hot tub were great too. If I'm ever back in the Rapid City area I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Decent hotel, but way overpriced (as everything is in the hills during the summer, especially near the Rally time), for rooms that could definitely use a remodel. Slept well overall, and had no problems with our stay. Would maybe stay again, of something a little newer wasn't available.

I stayed at the Baymont inn in Rapid City. The price was nice but the room was a little run down. There was a huge crack on the sink. The bed skirt was torn in several places. We actually stayed here on two different occasions with friends. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We thought the price was reasonable, and the he staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was a good, typical free breakfast buffet. The one problem they have is that the pool is adjacent to the elevators so the hallway floors and elevator are constantly wet and dirty from footprints...

This was the quickest check-in I've ever encountered. One quick signature and he handed me the keys and we were in! They had a large selection of items for breakfast, and they all tasted were great. My wife really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy! If we didn't have a deadline that morning I would have stayed for an extra cup of coffee.

The room, like other Holiday inn rooms, was not clean. There was vomit on the front of the toilet and shower curtain from whoever partied too hard in there. The room was nicer than the other Holiday inn on fifth street, and the breakfast was great. Aside from the lack of room cleaning it was suitable.

This a fine hotel located near an area where there are many places to shop, including the neighboring Target store. The facilities were in great shape, and the staff very helpful. I did find the hotel a little noisy; for example, we were located near the hotel laundry and the noise from there prevented a quiet experience.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning blow cool and did cool the room. The hotel does not have an elevator. The lady that checked us in was quick and efficient, but had no personality. The breakfast was not much but the rate for the room was very good.

I came here as a fluke, stayed 10 days and couldn't be more pleased. Desk staff can be a little terse, perhaps I could've done without the eye roll I got from a frustrated clerk but that was a 1-off and this industry can be taxing, this I know from my own professional experience. Very nice employees, rooms were clean, heat and AC both worked well for us. breakfast could of been a little better but it was still good. Would recommend to a friend and would stay here again for short trips.

The room rates and no bed bugs were the best thing. Wifi was down the entire time (seems to be an ongoing issue after reviewing other reviews.) and apparently some rooms are equipped with a fridge and microwave. I didn't know I had the option. The gas station next door is a well stocked liquor store too. Made it bearable.

Decent enough. The room was super clean and the AC worked well. It's also in a great location, right off of the interstate. However, there's no elevator (and my room was on the 3rd floor), the bed only had two pillows on it, and the toilet nearly overflowed on each flush. It's good for the price, just don't put any paper in the toilet.

The outside was not super dirty like I saw in some other photos, lots of grassy areas to walk my dog. The lobby smells very strongly of cigarettes but our room did not. Did bring my own cleaning supplies after reading reviews. The room smelled like it was only partially cleaned, dirt and little lint on the bedding but no bugs. Did Lysol everything and wipe everything including the door and windows...

Jackie the manager is amazing, she is doing a fantastic job, the grounds and rooms are clean. Rooms are comfortable and safe. The staff is very friendly. Love that they allow us to have our cats here. I have enjoyed our stay here. Thanks so much!!

Now I rate this place a 5 star because off my situation I had while staying. It started with me renting my room for a couple days I came home one night to find my room door would not open I got the manager to make a new key still not working we had the maintenance guy help probably about a hour and half helping me get into so I could get to my dogs. turns out the door lock had actually fried the mother...

They've completely redesigned and rebuilt the rooms (in the two Motel 6's I visited on this trip--can't know if they've done ALL motels yet). The designs are very efficient, nicely laid out--better beds, all up-to-date, clean and just overall excellent. No frig, no microwave, but no top-dollar prices either! (Microwave and lots of ice available in the common area near the office.)

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were on a cross-country trip and this was the only place that went out of their way to say hello to our dogs and give them treats. Room was nice, as was pool, location is great. Bathroom design was odd, but it was a bathroom and clean and everything worked. It would be nice to have coffee maker/fridge in room, but I understand it's a way to keep costs down. Great...

Everyone is kind and helpful. It is your place home away from home. Love it.. This motel helped when my cousin broke her hip on vacation here. I would have given. 5 stars if the sheets weren’t stained. . The breakfast was just simple which was good. It was clean other than the stained sheets. I like having my own cooking space.

Great service. Room was nice and clean. Ground level was nice as we had children and it was just down from the pool. The pool was a little cold for an indoor pool but we enjoyed it anyway.
