THE BEST! These folks helped displaced people during clean-up from hurricane Helene. They did not price gouge. They were kind and understanding and flexible with rooms. We spent three nights and were grateful for the kindness and hard work of the entire staff. Rooms were cleaned, breakfast terrific, Coffee (great coffee btw), water and ice available all day. Staff from housekeeping to check-in to management were kind and accommodating. We will definitely be returning customers. If I were to note one imperfection it would be a bit of a musty smell in the room. Keep in mind, this is a turn of the century old hotel; this was definitely not complaint worthy by any stretch...just a note. Thank you all for your tender care!

Decided to have a night get away and had the best experience! Very cozy and warm! It gave me the dream Gilmore Girls inn experience i’ve always been wanting but with our nice weather!
The breakfast was delicious and the staff members were helpful and kind. They even mentioned price matching and helping to book our next stay whenever that may be. And let me tell you, we will definitely be coming back! Such a peaceful and beautiful environment to take in.

Our family stayed here (1 1/2 year old baby)
And the experience was amazing! The hotel is so super cute and Rich and character. Instead of a lifeless chain hotel you really get the local vibe. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is amazingly nice, friendly and personable, there is fresh coffee available 24 seven and the breakfast in the morning is delicious! we are so glad we found this perfect little gem in the most incredible location in Saint Pete.

Had a great experience! Rooms were all classy and the entire hotel is full of character. Breakfast is very extensive and delicious! I've stayed in chain hotels previously, but would choose this place over any of the chains every time.

We had such a wonderful stay! This is a very well maintained historic property and the rooms are very clean. All of the staff we interacted with was super friendly. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and has lots of options. I love the convenience of getting the welcome letter and access codes via text message, as well as the keyless room entry so you never have to worry about losing your keys! We even had our own paranormal experience. We turned off the TV before going to sleep and put the remotes on the dresser below it, but I woke up again at 3am to it turned back on! A resident ghost must have really liked what we were watching since it went through the effort of turning the chromecast on, selecting the app, and turning the show back on. 😂 Overall, an excellent experience. Thank you for participating in my hotel's employee holiday gift certificate exchange and I hope we get another from you in the next one! I'd love to come back! 💜

Year old reviews don't tell the current story. Crystal Bay Hotel is restoring a 1915 building with continuous upgrades. The standout feature is the FREE breakfast that competes with a five star hotel: made to order omelettes, eggs in any form, quiche, abundant sliced fresh fruit, real home made breads, gluten free pancakes, all with a chef who's sensitive to diet restrictions. Did I mention a fine tea selection and fabulous coffee?

The rooms were probably huge in 1915 but are smallish for today. Beds are queens and very comfortable. Decor is adequate, all rooms have coffee pots, refrigerator/microwave and ample sized TVs. My room had a large shower, no tub which I actually prefer.
There's a quaintness about the place, it does have the old building smell, which could add to the charm or be offensive depending on your viewpoint. Despite the old wood smell, rooms are very clean, housekeeping is accommodating and staff is friendly. The original purpose for renovation appears to have been to offer healing- both physical and spiritual. I'm not attracted to the new age vibe, being a Christian, but I was attracted to the breakfast, for which I thank God.

I recently just took a trip to the Crystal Bay Hotel for the 7 Life Lesson Retreat and I was more than satisfied with my stay. The staff was excellent, and made my stay feel as if I was at home. Breakfast was to order, as well as very tasty. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. As well as the overall atmosphere of the hotel. To be completely honest I didn't want to leave when my stay was over! In the near future I will be coming back again!!

Crystal Bay is our new go-to lodging when visiting family in St. Pete! The rooms are cozy and quiet and the bedding is comfortable.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. I was able to request a room with a view of Central Avenue and Park Street for our next visit during Christmas.
A hot breakfast is included in the room rate. During our last visit, the dining room was closed for a private event and we were provided room service. It was delicious! This morning, we ate from the breakfast buffet in the dining room and enjoyed every bite.
My husband and I grew up in St. Pete and we’ve lived in Miami for 42 years. We have always preferred bed and breakfast establishments, especially when traveling with our three children. The combination of lodging and breakfast at a reasonable rate now seems hard to find, regardless of the travel location!
You won’t be disappointed in Crystal Bay!

Amazing rates. Very friendly people. The historic hotel is absolutely beautiful. The information provided about the hotel really makes you feel a connection to the place. Contactless and clean.
Breakfast served daily and all of the staff is helpful. They always have a smile and greeted us anytime they saw us. The room was a little too humid but that's a given with a hotel that's 100 years old. We are making the Crystal Bay our second home and will be coming back year after year!

The hotel is historic, with the attendant issues of any building 100+ years old- but it was very clean and in good repair. The pool area is private from public viewing, and the neighborhood was safe & quiet- also historic but well kept. The amenities were lovely, and the makeup remover wipes and black cosmetic washcloths were much appreciated during our Halloween weekend stay. It's also located in a good position to reach the highways or travel to any of the surrounding areas easily. And I must say that the staff were fantastic- everyone was friendly and helpful no matter the question or time of day it was asked. The supervisor Jenna even gave us a jump one morning when we'd accidentally left an interior vehicle light on. Overall we quite enjoyed ourselves, and would definitely re- book next time we're in the area.
