Staff here were really customer service-oriented - warm friendly greetings. Rooms are lovely and tastefully decorated. Bed was really comfortable. Outstanding service, from the moment we pulled in (the wrong way, no less). Valet team took great care of us and gave us helpful hints. They work fast, too. Front desk found us a fantastic room. This is an older historic hotel which has been refurbished. There is an old and new section. The older rooms are larger than most hotel rooms. The service was good. The hotel is about a half mile from all of the attractions. It's a nice place and a good selection if you don't want to be in the center of all the activity.

The rooms are dated but unique, you could hear people walking on the wood floors above you but I wasn't disturbed any other times and that was minimal. I stayed for a week and paid $585.00 plus tax. I gave 3 stars because the room was clean and seemed updated and was pet friendly. Onto the issues...keep in mind I never asked for my room to be cleaned for the week I was there. You have to bring your towels to the desk the night before and get in the morning or before 8am to get them back hopefully that day. There is NO Housekeeping. I asked for 3 days...

We stayed here in March 2022 and January 2023. We were surprised that the hotel and its services had seemed to deteriorate in this short time. I usually stay at Wyndham resorts and I love it bc they treat my family as their own I only use hotels for road trips our rooms was pretty good and looks renovate but the employee were very rude and disrespectful knocking our door rushing our check out and for me that's one of the most important thing when I travel! costumer service 0 for this people

Birchwood staff did a great job for us and our wedding! The Reception was outstanding and we had a blast! We got locked out of hotel room for one night but Pat did a great job looking into the issue and helping us out with another night so we could enjoy our wedding night. I went for a wedding. Atmosphere was amazing and elegant. Salad was very tasty, told were warm and chewy. Breaded Chicken moist with not much seasoning, the Salmon was to perfection. The staff was friendly however they should smile a little more. I had a great time.

Stay here for a quick overnight trip to St Pete. This hotel is centrally located to EVERYTHING. They have a great bar on the first floor and many great restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are great and so are the employees.

The Comfort Inn & Suited Northeast - Gateway is a nice hotel and a great option for business travelers. It is located near plenty of great restaurants and the highway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with comfortable bedding. I will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Forced out of our house by Hurricane Irma (no damage, just no power). Lucky to get the last room available. We've stayed here on another occasion and knew that this place is one of the best in its class. And excellent breakfast too.
