Hotel located overlooking Sarasota beach we stayed in a beach front room. Car park available at rear of property. Hotel is a short walk to St Armands with its restaurants and shops. Breakfast on the 7th floor was excellent in particular the cooked to order options.

Bathroom gave me the creeps and you needed courage to venture in there, there were stains on the carpet, AC equipment was way too noisy, not enough elevators for the quantity of rooms by floor, swimming pool always crowded. This hotel must have been top notch in the 90's but clearly not nowadays.
However, every cloud has a silver lining they say and staff did their best to patch everything up.
Location is unbeatable with public beach that is gorgeous right in front of the hotel however when I put into the equation the price paid I believe I am not break even.
Guess I will not come back unfortunately

This is a great beach hotel destination. Don't expect luxury but if you happen to have an ocean view room.... oh boy that's it... that will be the jackpot of your trip. Everyone here is really friendly and professional. Mattress is super comfortable and the breakfast on the top floor besides being delicious is another amazing experience with the 360 view of the golf shore..

We stay here often. Last visit 8/18 was very impressed they definitely kicked up a couple of notches. Not that I have ever had a bad experience. Dove bathroom supplies was nice . Breakfast for IHG members and friendly staff. Wish I had written down the name of gentleman at desk( younger guy long blonde hair with glasses) worked after 4pm Fri and Saturday. Recommend a place to eat and jet ski.. both were great. Very welcoming attitude.

I came to this place with my family. We stayed at room 700 and the service is great! Jamie at front desk was awesome accommodating us he helped us with everything we asked him. The waitress Liz at the breakfast is amazing. She works so hard to make everyone happy. I was very impressed with the food quality and I will definitely come back very soon. Thank you

Stayed for 5 nights, work trip.
King bed, water view. Excellent location on Lido beach, walk across the road and you're on the beach. 8 minutes walk to St Armand's circle with bars/restaurants. Otherwise dated hotel, tub shower, carpet. Small pool, bar is mediocre, no music. Didn't try the restaurant so can't comment. Towels available for use although no beach chairs, had to rent one on the beach.
Overall it was a good stay mainly for the location and St Armand's, otherwise nothing special.

Location, location, location! Walking distance to shopping, dining and beaches. Staff is friendly and informed on local area. If weather is not cooperating, happy hour downstairs and dining upstairs are a treat.

We love this hotel our home away from home. Friendly Staff, nice clean rooms, quite excellent restaurant. Across the street from the beach and rooms have balconies also within walking distance of St. Armand's Circle.
